Default WM main page does not load completely

Hi - Workout Manager main page takes a long time to load (>5 minutes) and does not load completely, even though the load shows up as "done." This started late last week (it used to be ok), maybe Friday. There are a few missing images: registerLink.jpg, shopFooterBlock.png, premiumFooterBlock.png, catheTVIcon2.png (two of these), and the "One moment please..." bar never leaves the display, although it is no longer active. I do have satellite not DSL or cable, so download speeds aren't quite as fast as they could be, but I'm not having difficulty with any other websites. From the main page, if I click on an icon such as the 1RM calculator, it looks like the page is being loaded, but nothing ever displays.

I looked for other posts about this problem but didn't find any, so I'm sorry if this is a repeat. If you need more info or someone to perform a remote test, please let me know!

Thank you...
Deb

That is not issue we've noticed or heard of. More than likely you just need to clean out your browsers cache and or delete cookies. You may also encounter a problem like this if you have an older version of the WM bookmarked. I would suggest going to the WM by clicking on the WM link at the top of the this forum page, but first try clearing your cache and cookies.

Thanks for your quick reply... The url is ok. I did clear out cache (etc.) but am still having the same problem. The content that is loaded varies. The second time the main page loaded ok, but this time login never completed. I still can't get to any of the WM programs, though. I don't run into this on any other sites, but since no one else here has, it might be because I applied some maintenance (silly me, lol) late last week...I wonder if any of the updates changed IE settings. I'll dig into that and post back if I find the problem.

Default WM login is consistently hanging

I haven't been using bookmarks at all. I've used WM links from here or elsewhere on this site and I've copied/pasted the url directly.

I would try deleting cookies if you haven't already. The only other possibilities I can think of would be if you or your ISP is using a proxy server. If this is true you or your ISP would have to clear the cache on the networks proxy server. The other possibility would be your security software may be blocking our site or our cookie and you will need to allow our site as a friendly or approved site.

Default WM login is now consistently hanging...

...but I can log into the forum with no problem.

I'd deleted cookies at the same time I cleared cache, and I don't think my ISP is using a proxy server - my TCP connection isn't set up for that, at least. Is there something else I should check?

I don't think the issue is with my firewall software because this worked until last week, and I didn't make any explicit changes (although I did apply some software patches).

Any other suggestions you can offer will be very much appreciated! I'm still investigating the recent software updates.

Thank you,
Deb

I would suggest really looking at your firewall first. I would disable it and see if the problem goes away. If it does you know the problem is with the settings for the firewall and their customer support should be able to help you. If that is not the problem I would next look at your anti virus software as it could be the problem. lastly, you may want to check with your ISP and see if they use a proxy server and if it could be the problem.

Default Still not able to log in

Ok, I have

1. cleared my local cache and cookies;
2. disabled my firewall;
3. disabled my anti-virus software;
4. disabled my router firewall;
5. checked with my ISP, and, although they say there is a proxy server, there is no cache that they clear.

The problem occurs both with my work computer and my own, although I didn't let the attempt from my work computer go for longer than a couple of minutes because I'm really not supposed to be using it for personal stuff.

I have no trouble logging in from the forum but the WM login consistently hangs.

This worked until late last week. I am using http://www.thecathenation.com/workout/ or the link above to get to WM.

Could it be something with my userid with WM only?
