GIF images in signatures??

Chris or anybody knowledgeable,

I know there are a million things to be worked out, so I just thought I'd ask if it's ME or the site -- I can't seem to get the links to my customary GIF images to work in my (temporary) signature. I saved them carefully from the old Forums so that I'd always have Little Barbell Guy. Now he doesn't show up -- just his link.

When I do "Edit Signature" and insert the link for the GIF images, should the link JUST start with "http", or does it need "[img]" or "URL=" or anything else? Or is this feature just not working right now??

If you look at the posting rules when you are creating your signature you will see that images & smileys are turned off for signatures
I am hoping that they will enable them but they may have a reason that they do not want to.
