Admin: question about social groups

Is it possible to have a social group's messages/photos private; that is, viewable only by members of the group?

I set up a social group for the Cheetah Runners Check-in and made it invite only, thinking it would function as described above. It was not meant to be exclusionary--it's just that some of us are reluctant to post photos or share other information viewable by anyone on the internet. For example, we've done a holiday card exchange for the past two years, and naturally, wouldn't choose to post our addresses on the forums. The option of being able to post privately to our social groups would make things like that so much easier and safe.
