From what I've been told, Soy is good for your heart. Whey is good for a post-workout drink because it is digested quickly. Unfortunately, the truth is that neither are really great for you because they are a very processed product. Sometimes I have to use them to make sure I get enough protein, or if I'm running late and don't have time for anything else. I am always looking for new sources of protein, especially for breakfast.

I use neither.
I would recommend hemp over both. Soy protein powder is made from isolated or concentrated soy protein, very processed, and usually GMO if not organic or specifically labeled as non-GMO. Soy protein isolate is often processed with hexane, a petroleum solvent.
