I have been eating clean for about 3 months, on average, 90-95% of the time. However, whenever I deviate the 5-10% of time, I either get sick to my stomach or start feeling really weird or both. My tolerance for chemicals and unhealthy ingredients has dwindled to nothing - well, at least I'll save money on eating out
though there are a few organic restaurants where I live that only serve locally grown food (within 100 miles). I've also discovered that I actually enjoy cooking, and have become quite creative with recipes - today I am going to make bread for the first time ever! I am trying to get to a point where all I buy are whole foods. Eventually I would like to start a garden too!Anyway, wanted to share my experience with clean-eating - it has been so worth the effort, and now find that it really takes less effort than before! I've had the exact same thing happen to me! I had gone for I would say 8mo. without ever and I mean ever straying from my clean eating habits, then decided I was going to visit my mother whom I had not seen during that time. Well for some strange reason I was able to convince myself that this little trip wouldn't present an issue or stray me off course when I got home. HUGE MISTAKE! I was literally physically ill...more ill than I've ever felt the entire week I was there! Also reeeally stupid on my part...but I guess mom's homemade food and buffalo wings clouded my resolve lol. Never ever will I do that again..........
