Default To eat or not to eat

I need some advice. I have heard many conflicting statements as to whether or not you should eat before a morning workout. My normal routine if I am doing cardio is to not eat anything because I want to tap into and use my fat stores up. However, on the days I lift weights I usually have 4 ounces of skim milk prior to my workout. I usually finish the other 4 ounces immediately after my workout. Which way is right or is this more of a personal choice for people?

I really think its a personal choice. I know some that feel sick if they eat. I on the otherhand feel sick if I don't have a little something in my stomach. I usually eat 1/2 banana or some oj.

It depends on what time I workout. If it's super early, just coffee. If it's the weekend and I have about 3 hours before the workout, I need something small to digest. It all comes down to personal preference.
