This is simple to make and delicious. If you like sushi, you'll love this!
Salmon Tartare
Ingredients:
· sushi-grade salmon
· 1 x shallot, minced
· 1 to 2 Tbsps capers, chopped
· 1 x small bunch chives, chopped
· 1 x small bunch fresh dill sprigs, chopped
· 2 Tbsps olive oil, or to taste
· A squirt of lemon juice to taste
· Salt and pepper
Directions:
1. Finely dice the salmon. Add chopped shallots, dill, capers, and grated lemon zest to taste. Season well with salt and pepper. Drizzle over olive oil. If possible, marinade in the refrigerator for a few hours. Squirt with lemon juice to taste, just before serving (if added any sooner it will cook the fish and change its colour). Serve with cocktail rye or pumpernickel bread.
