When a green smoothie recipe calls for oatmeal, do they mean dry OR cooked?? I have been making mine UNcooked but I recently came across another recipe that used the term cooked oatmeal ![]() ![]() the recipe I normally use calls for 3/4 cup of oatmeal. have I been doing it wrong ALL this time? ![]() |

I used to put oatmeal in my smoothies - not sure why i stopped - but it was dry oatmeal. I think i got the idea from a recipe by tosca reno.

I use dry. Never even crossed my mind to cook it, lol. I only have ever made a couple of recipes calling for oats though. I've never tried oats in my green smoothies, just a basic fruit smoothie.
