I finally got STS, and I'm so excited to start, but my sweetie would like to do it with me. He's considerably stronger than I, so I don't anticipate using the same dumbbells for the same exercise, but is there any equipment I absolutely must have two of (e.g., barbell, step)?
Does anyone have experience doing the rotation with a workout partner? Did you buy extra equipment or make it work with what you have (and if so, how)? I've heard the built-in rest times are carefully planned, so I wonder if pausing to rewind for the other person would mess that up (in addition to lengthening the workout time). Cheers, Suzanne |

Suzanne,
My husband did a round of STS with me, and while I enjoyed having him work out with me (and watch Cathe kill him ), there were times when it was a hassle trying to share equipment, and just get our equipment together in the alloted time. We would pause the dvd occasionally because he needed more time to get his stuff set up. We did buy an additional step and he did have his own barbell. I don't know that we could have done it together without those additional items. We're doing an STS rotation together right now, but I work out during the day and he does it after dinner. Not exactly the same as having a workout partner, but it's fun to discuss after the workout is over. Good luck and have fun!!Paula |
