Default Is it O.K. to take 2 active recovery weeks between Mesos?

I just finished Meso Cycle 1 on Sunday and am now on my 1st "recovery week". Meso 1 left me feeling very wiped-out the last week and a half. I'm doing barre workouts, light cardio, and yoga this week and am enjoying it so much. I don't know if I'll be ready to start Meso 2 next week. I'm thinking I need 2 recovery weeks. Has anyone done this?

I'm not sure it is recommended, but I ended up taking 2 weeks between M2 & M3. I had gotten sick and just wasn't ready to start M3. I was able to pick back up with M3 without feeling like I lost that much strength.

As hard as it is for most of us, sometimes we need to listen to what our bodies are telling us.

I was actually just planning this into a future rotation. Not STS but similar in structure, likewise after the recovery weeks I would be increasing the intensity level. What I ended up with was 1st week active recovery barre type strength & stretching only, second week recovery light cardio only.

I guess I'll have to see how I feel on Sunday (I'm due to start Meso 2 on Mon.). I'm really enjoying my recovery week workouts!

FWIW, M1 wiped me out too and I was fearful of not having the oomph for M2 after only a week "off". Well M2 is very different from M1. It doesn't exhaust me in the same way but is still extremely effective. It's also lots more fun then M2 I think so you might be pleasantly surprised when starting M2 that you are able to handle it much better then you thought! I have to say though that the M2 leg work outs are killer and pack a different punch then the upper body ones do IMO. Just forewarning you!

Good luck with whatever you decide to you!

Thanks so much for the info, Wendy! I think I'll give Meso 2 a try after just 1 recovery week.
