Default How long is each STS w/o & are Abs included?

Hi Everyone,

I just ordered the STS 36 disc bundle last night! How long is each workout? Everywhere I have looked, I only see the TOTAL length.

Also, are Abs/core included in the daily workouts? Or is it just upper or lower body?

Thanks

Abs/Core are not included in the 36 main STS workouts. Ab Circuits is the STS dvd (sold separately) that has many (six? eight?) different ab workouts on it.

I love Ab Circuits, but if you don't have it and don't want to buy it, you could sub other thorough ab workouts you might have (Core Max, Butts & Guts, etc.) two or three times a week when you're doing STS.

I think that before adding in the abs, STS workouts are abound an hour, some a little more and some a little less. The Ab Circuits workouts are all about 15 minutes, again, some a little more and some a little less. HTH!

edited to add: Today is my first day of STS! I'm so excited! Good luck on your STS journey!

Default First Day Also!

I completed my day one earlier today and am so excited. I love it! I did most 1 RM tests (3-5 star), so I was easily able to pick up the right weights and go. I struggled with a few of the push-up positions, but modified.

I'm doing the 3 month STS strength/cardio rotation and hoping for great results. My test will be saddling my horse; I can get the saddle on, but always feel like I'm throwing it on him. Thank God he is patient with me!

BTW: The STS User's Guide has the times in for all exercises; they range from 45 to 70 minutes. The User's Guide has so much information in it. Between the User's Guide and the Workout Cards, I am empowered with knowledge and ready to tackle STS!

Anyone just starting want to participate in a check-in forum?

Default Extended Stretch

FYI: The extended stretch for week 1, disc 1 is approximately 15 minutes.

Hi!
I just started STS last week. I joined the check-in called (New year's STS Challengers) Everyone is at different stages in the program there. We could always modify the name (Better late than never, or always late to the party, etc.) I'm sure all STS newbies would be welcome there!!! I am loving this program!!!! Take care, Nancy J.~~~

I was thinking about a check-in thread for STS too, I'm going to check out the New Year's STS Challengers one that Nancy mentioned, above. I completed Day One today and it was a blast! So fast-paced!

OK, thanks everyone for their reply. I will have to add in my own Abs workout. I didn't realize the STS bundle came with a booklet - that will help me out a lot. Does the booklet have a chart where I can track my progress and/or write down my weights used?

Gobias, the user's guide does has spaces to fill in your 1RM, what weight you actually used during each workout, etc. But the guide suggests using the online manager to print out workout cards, and it's easier to do that if you have access to a printer, because the cards are printed with what weights you should use already filled in based on your 1RM, instead of you having to calculate them yourself. Just a time-saver, but using the guide only would work just the same.

Woo my chest is feeling it today from STS yesterday!

You can find the length of each of the STS workouts listed in our STS FAQ Info Page

Thanks everyone for responding. OK, I will just print workout cards from this site. I haven't even gotten that far in this STS process! I haven't seen the cards yet. I got a tracking number for my bundle and am getting excited.

Thanks, Admin - that chart is very helpful.
