Cathlete
Ladies,
Just starting us up today.
Phase 3, Week 12, Day 7.......:Stretch...... then.....Recovery.....
I have to run to my German class.... x( BBL for personnals.;-)

Good Morning Christiane & all Xers!:D Good News! Stacy is safely tucked away and probably wont be rearing her snippy self until at least cycle day 22 or so....We are safe once again!:7 Wendy- You shall have to find another scapegoat for any antics today!

Today is Classical Stretch Segment 1 Deep Muscular Stretch + MIS Lower/Abs (omitted yesterday) & 10 Minute Trainer Lower, I really need it (stretch) as Kickboxing 2 days ago & MIS upper yesterday has left me veeeerrrrryyyyyy sore!

The baby shower was fine.... we snuck out once gifts started being opened (about 2 hrs into it)..... Wendell survived but told me it was OK if in the future I wanted to do those with just my girlfriends!:+ I mentioned that at our age we probably wont be having many more of those to attend unless we decided to hang out with the grandkids of all our friends;-)

JEANETTE
WooHoo! Sounds like you are winning the germ war! Sure feels like they last forever! ~ Oh you are so close to having a golf enabler! What great fun for you two! Somehow I think its just going to take one very pretty day, a few "WOW Honey's" from you & he'll be hooked! 45-50 range is max I ever feel comfy with on my BB for the back..I normally keep it between 25-35 just for comfort- the padded bar thingy helps ALOT! ... I guess I just dont have that inner "drive" to hoist it & squat when its heavier- I'm OK with that! ;-)

DEBRA
Busy day/evening for you! Very productive for Sunday!!! GOOD GIRL making sure your back was worked a bit harder this week! I find with most of Cathes work that I have to either do additional sets of back, lower sets on chest, or add in some extra exercises to keep it balanced. Chest gets worked so much in most exercises that I dont think working them "evenly" actually works them "evenly" at all. I thnk people are just brainwashed about chest work... It makes us feel STRONG & TOUGH as most can lift pretty heavy....ROF on your stuffing chicken! :+ Spoken like a woman who is in a new mechanical relationship! YOU JUST WAIT! :p ~ Oh dear! I totally forgot about a change in meds!!! Well you just cardio away & see what gets rid of that pesky .3333 ounces you have gained! :7

Latrese
:7 What a nice surprise!!!!! :*

NICOLE
Your Meez cracked me up!!! I picture all you Xers with little ones in that workout environment!

WENDY
Why did I LOL at seeing your post under Healthy Snack Idea??? It really struck me as very funny! I think you have made a reputation for yourself.... }( I do not think you or anyone else is ignorant! My word!! You & Sandra can go in circles all day day long if ya want...I just suggested you take a breather & let some other topic fill your brains! Isnt it much more fun talking food???}( But if ya all MUST talk fat/muscle then go right ahead! :* Btw.......did someone say BATHING SUITS? -- WOOHOO on taxes!!! Now you can afford 2 new bathing suits! ROFl:Hot Men in Drag!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Oh dear! I am THRILLED you dropped some weight but e-gads! What a way to do it!!:+ BOTTOMS UP BABY!:* :*

CHRISTIANE
Off to German class so early?! I guess we are 5 -6 hrs apart tho so thats not too early in your world. ~ Glad you tried Interval+!!! Fingers crossed that the modifications were all good!~~ OH NO for DH!!! Tell that travel secretary to start hitting the pavement!
:7

KIM
Thankfully migraines are not part of my life! Not sure what triggered this 1st timer..most likely winds & hormones...Both have had some irregular patterns in the last 30 days. ~ ^5 on a run to remember! Gosh I cant imagine being dedicated enough to the cause!

Laurie, Sandra, Tracy
Please come back...Stacy is gone - I SWEAR

LEA
Hey GIRL!!! ~~~wave~~~wave~~~~wave~~

Hi all,

I never got back yesterday, but you guys were pretty chatty for a Sunday! CST went better than expected and as usual I went up in some, stayed the same in others. I'm glad it's over, but that didn't have the dread factor like last round. I can pump out quite a few pushups without too much problem. Then I ended up taking the dogs for a walk and walked my short run.

Today is legs and short cardio, plus a little yoga. I'm planning on Tone, but I'll see how that goes.

Traci - Stacy just has the nerve to say what people are thinking:) I have to agree with the blond comment....

Off to work, I need to be there by 6:30 today. Next week is our spring break and I'm looking forward to that.

Tracy

I am glad to report that I survived Interval X+ without too many consequenses for the back. The pain is not worse than before. I thought it was an interesting w/o.
Well when I reported about DH yesterday I misunderstood. When he called he was in Russia but delayed at their customs, which is probably much worse than in France. When checking with his assistant this morning, it was not her mistake but the Russian Ambassy's mistake. All the paperwork she filled had the correct B-day. THat's probably why after a few hours they let him in. He was still not a happy camper. He did Plyox at 10pm as he was so stressed and pi.....ed. Didn't feel like it but he knew it would do him good.}(

Debra~~So ya, DH is now in Moscow for a couple of days. DH asked me a while ago if I wanted to go but I passed. I just don't trust these people, Vlad is not my kind of guy...if you lnow what I mean...x(

Nicole~~ Well I'll keep trying the pull-ups and chin-ups. Maybe one day I'll be surprised and be able to manage one...who know?:+

Teddygirl~~ Good wishes to you too.:+

Jeanette~~ Well your health seems to slowly return to normal, at least it's not getting worse. Still sending healthy vibes to you....:+ If you wake-up in the middle of the night all hot and sweaty, I'm sorry to say it is a night sweat. The hot flashes are during the day when you get hot all of a sudden. Didn't have to many of those. Mine were mainly at night, when you want to sleep.x( x( x( As what you said about regrets, I think everything in moderation has it's place. Perhaps before having a glass of wine every night was a little too much, but on the other hand I've been on some boards where thy do not allow themselves anything whatsoever. It's just not for me. All is relative in life. And it depends where you find your enjoyment in life. If having the perfect body (and that's also relative...) is worth all the sacrifices than go for it. I find a "happy medium" where I feel comfortable in the choices I make and that makes me happy. Since the start of that program DH has gone completely wacko...;-) When we were out in Switzerland and eating for days in restaurants, he would ask me every single food caloric value (like you know what they cook with in restaurants...}( ). His journal has been filled to the letter since day 1. I fill mine 90% of the time. But when I go out, yes my caloric intake might be more than 1700 but all in all for the week I average about that much. Bottom line is I am quite consistent and disciplined but not obsessed.;-)

TraciX~~ Glad the baby shower went well. You got to love your man for putting it so nicely about next time...with the girlfriends... you know...lol:+

Well off to do some chores that I didn't do yesterday. I did zip, nada, nicht, rien. So I have some catch-up to do. See you later...:7

Have I mentioned lately that I really dislike DST???? I felt like I was pulling the Diva up from the dead this morning to get her out of bed! Ugh. And it's dark. And I am not a morning person anyway. Okay, enough of my whining for now!!! Had a nice time with CBL last night...Nothing much else to report...except I have a few more DOMS in my legs today from SH on Saturday. Don't know why they waited 2 days to come. I must really clean the house this week so that XDH doesn't think his daughter is living in a pig sty. I also have to get a few things ready for the Diva's birthday party on Saturday, too.

Tracy....
We are on spring break next week too! We are headed down to Charleston to see my BFF. And I can't wait...we haven't see her since before Christmas...It has been way too long!

Christiane..
Vlad is a piece of work, isn't he?? I realized my XDH had completely assimilated into Russian life when I said something negative about Putin and he said that he was smart. I said, "Well, he may be smart, but he scares us a bit over here!" Crazy. Hope DH has a wonderful time, though. It is a very different country....but Moscow is completely cosmopolitan.

Okay...gotta run for now....back later with more personals...
Debra

Good morning,

I'm heading to the basement in a minute to do the w/u and first 2 combos (26 mins) of Amy B's Advanced Step Challenge, and IntervalX+ (skipping the warm up). That should be right around an hour.

My alarm went off at the new 5am today, but I stayed in bed until 5:30. So, I'll have to come back later this morning to see what you're all up to. I hope all your workouts are great and you have a Super Monday!!

Sandra

Happy Monday Xers!!

We had a nice, quiet weekend and now we're (FINALLY!) getting back to normal around here. DH FINALLY went back to work! (YAY!). The kids are still coughing, but really aren't too sick anymore. It's mostly residual crud. The rabbit's better, too :) No more runny nose for him. I'm ready to be DONE with germs for a LONG TIME!

So, today I'm restarting the Feb rotation, but since I did KM last week, I'll be subbing the 4DS bootcamp/kb cardio combo. It's fun and I haven't done it in awhile. I'm looking forward to getting my workouts back on track, too :)

Laurie -- WAY TO GO!!! Congrats on being the first triple Xer!!

Christiane -- Congrats on being almost done!! As for rotation suggestions, I'd look at Cathe's Feb '08 rotation that a couple of us are doing. It's similar to P90X in that it's a 3-day split. It also has 2 days of cardio and 1 day of circuit work. It uses the GS and S&H workouts, so you should definitely not lose any gains you made with the X. Just a thought :)

Wendy -- LOL about DS. Kids are so honest. I'm glad you're doing well with cleaning up your diet, too :) That's the hardest part of the equation...

Traci-X -- LOL at the Stacy/Traci dual personality... I think Stacy's amusing ;-)

Hi to everyone else! BBL to finish catching up...

Carol

Hey there gang. How is everyone? I see that Jeanette has been sick. Sorry Jeanette. I hope that you feel better today. I also saw that Stacy poked her pretty little head out}( and that Wendy was a little upset the other day. Debra is stressed with good reason and Sandra stayed in bed instead of getting up and working out. Nicole is getting a little better and there are other things going on too. Ohhhh...was it Laurie that finished her third round? Congrats! AND if I happened to get the wrong person, sorry.

Anyhow, I have been busy. Older DS's school had a different and earlier(ugh) schedule last week due to parent/teacher conferences and this week we are going to Arizona for spring training(baseball). My DH's 40th is this week and this is what he wants to do, for he loves his baseball.

I was finally able to do a little cardio, HSC. Wasn't as easy as usual since I haven't been doing that type of workout in a while, but felt good. I have been feeling like jello lately. Tomorrow is yoga.

All right gals. Have a pleasant Monday. Talk to you all soon.

Lea

Good morning girls,

Today was Cathe's Basic Step Circuit work and it kicked my butt!!! I'm so glad I have it for these times when I've been sick and starting back. I was sweating big time with my puny little weights. I slept pretty good last night, had the humidifier on all night and today the post nasal drip induced cough is much, much looser. I'm going to drink a ton of water today at work to keep things going in the right way.

Traci, glad Wendell didn't have too bad of a time at the shower. Did he really think he might have to wear a diaper? I am hoping that you are so right about golf for my DH. There'd be no question at all if the "girls" could come along too. He loves them to be with us whenever possible. I think Tiger plays on Thursday (Golf Channel) so I'll be sure and tune that one in. He loves watching Tiger. All this from a very, very redneck guy. That's what's surprising to me. Hope the stretching makes you feel much better today.

Tracy, wish I had spring break here too. The weather yesterday was so nice. I saw 2 cyclists go by and I so wanted to ride, but knew it wouldn't be too smart for me in my condition. I may take your lead today and take the dogs for a walk after work.

Christiane, so glad your DH made it to Russia okay. I have such a tendency to go overboard, or at least I have in the past, what with my horseback riding, cycling, etc. Some bad decisions I made and much regret now, by putting those things ahead of what I see now should have been higher priorities in my life. Oh well, I'm still a work in progress and will keep trying to maintain a balance. I must be sleeping through the night sweats, just wake up and my hair is wet but I'm not feeling overheated. No hot flashes during the day yet, just when I eat my hot cereal. That makes me hot right away LOL!

Debra, so sorry about DST. I'm a DST lover!!! I really hate it when we go the other way. DDOMS it is for you!

Sandra, so how was Amy's Step Challenge? I tell you what, Cathe's Basic Step was tough enough for me today. Must be trying to breath thru the phlegm that makes it so hard. It was all I could do to do 3 (or most of) circuits of basic step.

Carol, so glad all is returning to normal. LOL even the rabbit!

Lea, thanks for the well wishes on my crud. My DS went to Arizona to watch spring training many years ago. He had a great time. Hope you guys have a wonderful time there.

Oooh, got to get ready for work now,

Jeanette

Morning Xers,

Rotation: Cathe's Feb 08 (Modified)/Week 1/Day 2
Workout: Drill Max - I did Total Body+ / 2m Run

I was having problems with getting Cathe's web page up at home. Did anyone else have that problem, or was it just my internet provider. The page wouldn't load, and I did what I knew to get it to open. I thought maybe it may have been because they where updating the blog, but that was on Sunday. My youngest was playing on the computer yesterday. :D So I didn't try then.

Oh well, I didn't start the Feb 08 rotation until yesterday. I considered cleaning the house to be a workout on Satruday. :7 :7 Yesterdays Kickmax was good, and my legs took a while to warm up to running this morning. :D You don't realize how much KM works your calf muscles until the next day. :D I want to thank Sandra for the suggestion to do the KM Drills without the chair. I think that my abs where worked along with my legs. Tomorrow I think I will be doing Interval+ and follow up with the core work instead of doing Imax3 and Coremax. I probably am trying to avoid working on the step. :7 :7

Traci, Glad you could sneak out of the baby shower. How those things can take soooo long is crazy. Do I get a pole in my basement for being the official X porn queen? :7 :7 I am afraid to check out the OD and STS if it brought out Stacy!!!

Tracy, How does your DS feel about completing the X? Is he happy with the results? CST for the last time is a good thing.

Christiane, So you are doing the plus workouts. I'm incorporating these into my rotation for the next 4 weeks. Just inserting some Cathe workouts and running. :D I like how your DH used PlyoX as stress relief. ;-) You are in your recovery week for the last phase of the X. I can't wait to do a congrat post to you too.

Debra, I also do not like DST, for the very reason you have given. My oldest didn't have a problem, but youngest was a bear this morning. I think it took her almost 30 min just to get out of bed. :D

Sandra, Great workout this morning. I couldn't lay in bed this morning, guess the dog doesn't understand DST. :D :D She just knows that when the alarm goes off for the 2nd time, that it is time to go for a walk. I have created the monster that I have now, but it really is a great back up alarm. :7 :7

Carol, Glad your family is starting to get back to normal. So far my youngest DD only has a cold, I'm hoping it stays that way. Don't need to have what you experienced the last two months.

Lea, Yes it was me that finished the third round of X. :D Spring training in Arizona sounds like a lot of fun. Glad you where able to get a workout in without back issues.

Jeanette, It is nice that you can still get a workout in when you are still not feeling 100%. Just take care of yourself. Guess what, DH started sewing on Saturday. He went to dance rehersal yesterday, but it is a start.

Kim, Dang on the cold run you had, but it must be nice to be running with a group. I love doing Total Body Stretch after my runs, the first section is really good for the legs. Hope it helped with the thighs.

Wendy, I was in the grocery store on Saturday too, and it was a madhouse then too. DH and I went to get a new phone for our house, and then to the store. I was waiting in line for almost 30 min., before we where checked out. In that time DH went to Ace Hardware and did some shopping too. I like your News Flash, glad that unwanted weight came off.

Nicole, A cold is running through our house right now. My youngest has been attacked, and this morning the oldest said her throat was scratchy. I'm hoping is stays a cold. :D

Thanks everyone for the Congrats on the XXX status!! I'm going to where the crown of X porn queen with pride. :7 :7 :7

I have to get to a meeting will BBL,

Laurie

Good Morning Ladies,

I'm supposed to start my recovery week, but I'm going to do another repeat week with DH. Last week wasn't a good week for him. Hmmm, I wonder why.;) I did the B&G Stability Ball Ab bonus last night. It was the first time I ever tried it. Wished I had previewed it first since it's kinda hard to figure out what Cathe is doing while balancing on the ball!!! Later, dh tried planks on the ball. He did an awesome job.

I finally brought up the power yoga subject to dh. I asked him why he hated yoga. He said he didn't hate it. I reminded him of his exact words. Then he laughed and tried brushing it off by saying, "Hate is such a strong word. I don't look forward to yoga." Well, I can understand dreading the thought of doing something. Then we watched South Park. It was the episode making fun of the Queer Eye for the Straight Guy. I reminded dh he shopped at Express in his single days and now he does yoga.:7 :7

Christiane: Have fun with German class! Ds called me last week to tell me the Army plans to deploy him as soon as his training is finished. He won't be coming home for a brief visit first. We were both upset. He still didn't tell me the exact name of the town. I'll have to call him while he's got his papers right in front of him. Doing Plyo-X was probably a good thing for him. Much better than texting the entire WWW about how pissed he was with Russia.:7 It sounds like you have come to a healthy outlook on nutrition.

I was lurking on Video Fitness... QVC is featuring P90X next Saturday morning. I think it's on at 8 AM EST. I'll have to double check.

Traci: All is well in my world. So, basically, Stacy won't be around during the retreat? That's a relief! I'll be able to sleep at night.:+ Nice mish-mosh you have for yourself today. Wanna switch? You can do C&B with DO while I feel the Zen.}( Did you also LOL when you saw I only had ONE healthy snack suggestion! Okay, I'll admit, my brain hurt trying to find ONE... I was only after her healthy snack recipes!!!:p I was serious when I said no more fast foods. I still get a queezy feeling when I recall the OD discussion about it. I'm taking cooking day by day. Thankfully, today is leftovers!

Tracy: Do you have any plans for Spring Break? I was lurking on VF and saw a post talking about the number of reps/sets proposed for STS. It's something like 15 reps with 4 sets of each muscle. Does this sound about right?

Debra: I see what you're doing. No! I'm not massaging your calves!!! :p :7 :+ How fun planning a birthday party. Will XDH be attending? Or will he do something on his own with the diva? I'm so happy for you to be going to Charleston after your XDH's visit. Perfect timing!

Sandra: You slacker you!:p ;) I didn't even hear dh leave at 5:30 this morning!:7

Carol: Glad to hear that the germs are finally leaving. Almost makes you wonder what normal is, huh? Have fun with bc/kb 4DS. I won't be asking to switch workouts with you today!:+

Lea: I'm all better now. Enjoy Arizona. What exactly is baseball spring training? Does dh play baseball or watch pros train???

Jeanette: Sounds like you're over the worst of it. Good!!! I'm sorry to hear dh is laid off. Is he able to get enough side work to keep him busy? Do you have a to-do list ready just in case?}(

Hi to Nicole (stay away from the eggs!!!) Laurie and Teddygirl.

Chat more with y'all later.

Ballistic Hugs to ALL!
Wendy

Good morning again,

Good workout. 26 mins of Amy's step was a nice warm up for IntervalX+.

I think I'll meander back to yesterday and see how everyone's Sunday turned out.....(wander wander wander)...Holy smokes you guys were chatty!!!

Traci....I have no idea who Betsy is, and what she has to do with heavens. That's something you should google :) Looks like you've found new workouts with which to shock your body. Did you really do MIS yesterday??? I've got to read on and find out!! I haven't done that one in years. About my mental hiccup on the BF/weight lifting situation - you think I need to get some fresh air? Yeah. You're probably right. I've been cooped up in this house all winter. I'm like a bored monkey in a zoo with a grooming problem. DH did the 10MT abs and lower body workouts last night. He said the lower body workout was pretty tough; he had to take a break or two. Stacy wasn't so bad on the OD yesterday. She is forgiven. LMAO about Cedie's hair! She goes to the same hair colourist as Tony.

Tracy....Woohoo on finishing CST for the last time! Yes, I did lose weight in the last month of XRound2. It was probably because I was eating exactly according to the meal plan. I barely had a bite of anything if it wasn't on the plan. Mind you, I don't know that I've gained the weight back because I haven't been on the scale since. My clothes all still fit the same. But I still hadn't gotten completely rid all the insulation around my middle. With the help of the omega-3's, I hope to be able to control my cravings that are so destructive of my attempts to stick with a healthy eating plan. My Omega-3 book actually tells women to NOT take evening primerose oil because it's so high in Omega-6, which is apparently not a good thing. I'm not telling you to stop taking it, as it obviously works for you, but just thought I'd mention what he said. Compared to the "average" person I eat barely any processed foods. Compared to Tosca Reno, I'm probably toxic :) But yes, too much of that stuff definitely makes me feel like crap. It's a slow process of re-programming my brain to choose food based on how it makes me feel overall, rather than how it tastes and makes me feel in the moment.

Debra....As I was working through SH last week, I couldn't resist calling Cathe a wimp few times LOL!! Do you think she's really lifting as heavy as she can? Mind you, they probably had to run through that workout 10 times in one day, so perhaps I'd be lowering my weights left right and centre, too, if I had to do that! Doing bi's and tri's on the third consecutive day of SH was tougher than with rest days in between. Did you find that, too? The supporting muscles for the bi/tri moves were still prefatigued from the chest/back/shoulder workouts. Traci made a great comment to you yesterday about a 20%BF person perhaps needing tone, over weight loss. The change to DST in March is all the fault of your president!!!!!!!! Bushy Jr. decided to lengthen the DST season, Canada followed suit to keep things easier. Hey, did you know that the development of Standard Time was thought of by a Canadian? It was necessary to make the trains run on time. Just some Canuck trivia for you. Did the dr say how long it would take for you to notice a difference from cutting the meds?

Christiane....Oh, you are considering a Round 2! I'm not surprised; you seem to enjoy Round 1 quite a bit. I'm going to sneak in a Round 3 without telling anyone, so I can catch up Laurie ;) That's just a joke. With STS on the horizon, I hopefully won't have to resort to that! I'm glad IntervalX was doable with your back. I should have added a caveat to my recommendation: I don't really understand what your back issues are, so I shouldn't recommend anything for you! People generally feel that IntervalX is lower impact than PlyoX, which is why I thought you might do better with it. But impact may be less of an issue for you than actual range of motion, or type of movement. What do I know? :p

Kim....Oooh, you just took all the joy out of the thought of running again. Are you thawed out yet? What part of Edmonton did she move to, do you know? How long ago? That's not a bad idea to hook up with her. Yes, Edmonton has a marathon. In July, I think. It's called (drum roll....) The Edmonton Marathon. The mom you were talking to (I eavesdropped on your personal to Tracy), is she a recent newcomer to Canada, with English as a second language, perhaps?

Wendy....Did you rest yesterday, like a good XXer-Wannabe? Your salmon dinner sounded delicious. I like a similar dish: broiled salmon served with sour cream and capers. It's delicious. Thank you, I'm putting that on the menu plan for the week! Your healthier eating choices are definitely making a difference! How are you doing with fast food withdrawl? I still get cravings for KFC, and it's been yeeeears since I last had any. I think they put something in the food that attaches permanently to your memory cells. LMAO about the pull up bar. Cathe and her staff do show an incredible amount of patience and restraint online. I wonder what they say to each other when they're reading all this stuff? Are you and NOT DH back on talking terms? And when you get in a tiff like that, how do you resolve it? Do you take the mature Dr. Phil way and talk about it when cooler heads are prevailing, or do you bury the resentment in the pit of your belly, to be regurgitated at a later date when he next ticks you off?

Nicole...What sorts of improvements are you and DH working on?

Jeanette....So, you're on the upswing, but still not 100%. Good for you for doing Body Fusion, then!! Her beginner workouts are indeed terrific for recuperation activity. Give her High Step Circuit a try in a day or two. It's a nice high step circuit workout, without killer intensity. I'll email the rotation today. Amy's Step Challenge workout was much easier to figure out than I'd expected. I don't think it's as complex as her ASCII workout, nor as intense. Mind you, I never previewed combo 4 or the challenge blast, so I don't know if it gets more intense. The music in ASCI is waaay too quiet. I guess that's why they really pumped it up for ASCII. I had a lot of fun with the first two combos of ASCI this morning, and look forward to doing the entire workout. It's only 51mins! I was surprised about that.

That catches me up with yesterday. It's now almost 9:30 and the toddler's still sleeping, so I'd better go wake her up and get the day going. I'm doing laundry today, and need to clean the 2 upstairs bathrooms (blech!!!). We also have a "playdate" at the neighbour's this afternoon. And I need to engage in some kind of activity with DD this morning. A craft? Maybe. Dance? Maybe. A walk? We'll see.

I'll come back later and catch up with today.
Cheers!
Sandra

Quickie Report...... MIS Legs & Core done.... i thought she's NEVER stop the friggin' ab work! Also did 3-way calf raises w/ 35#BB... toasty..........

Be very careful ladies.... I am being stalked by a friend of Stacy's- if you see a Mia anywhere around LOOK OUT!:7

Every time I move, I'm reminded of a huge bruise on my left thigh. Last night I tripped and landed into a pile of books. OUCH!

Laurie: We will need to crown you in April!:D What are you thinking? The pole goes in your bedroom!!!}( :+ Sometimes I get a message saying the page has expired when I try loading Cathe's forums. Instead of clicking the refresh button, I type the address again. Works fine. Maybe, the site was bombarded by last minute pre-orders. I think it's over 2,000 pre-orders. KickMax... My interest is piqued. I've never considered it since I usually hear it's not as good as KPC. Usually, I send Phil to the grocery store. I tell you it is crazy there! They had enough lanes opened. It was the cashiers who were slow as molasses!!! When it was finally my turn, the cashier pushed the cash button before I swiped my card. Then he had to get a manager to do something with the register so I could pay. Then he tells the manager the wrong price AFTER I paid. Since neither of them can do mental math, I had to calculate the difference in order to pay the correct amount. It's times like these where I want to ask, "Where did you go to school?"}(

Sandra: What's your verdict with the X+ workouts? Are they must haves? I've got two more months of the X. So, I'm wondering if I have time to slip in an X+ rotation before STS is released. I loved what you said: It's a slow process of re-programming my brain to choose food based on how it makes me feel overall, rather than how it tastes and makes me feel in the moment. That is so true!!!! I'm trying to get to the point in my nutritional life where the healthier foods I eat makes me feel satisfied and good. Hmmm... sour cream and capers? Trying to imagine the taste of it. I'm sure it's good though. Thankfully, I haven't had any cravings yet. Key word: yet. I'm sure I'll be dreaming about McDonald french fries come TTOM. I will resist!:p Yes, dh and I are on speaking terms. We were before we cleared the air on the matter. If he had it his way, it would be buried forever. Unfortunately, for him, he married a confrontational woman. He's had to stretch himself to not run away and talk. And, I've had to really stretch myself to wait till things cool down. So, yeah. Last night, we talked more that what I had posted earlier. The air is clear.:)

Traci: Stacy has friends!!!! Who knew!!!!}( }( }(

Hi Kim! How's your day going?

Gotta go. I'm spending way too much time online today!

Ballistic Hugs to ALL!
Wendy

Wendy, Oh that is right, the pole does go in the bedroom. But with the way my DH procrastinates, the it will never get installed. :7 :7 This morning I reminded him that I would like my pull-up bar installed (P90 Total Body+ was missing something without the bar!!!)x( . So hopefully that will get done some time this week. :7 :7 :7 :7

Traci, 35# for the three way calf raises. Dang I need to up my weights, but then do I get bulky calves? :7 :7 Actually the more I work them the better they have been looking. I think that Mia person was lurking again.

Have a great day!

Laurie

GS Chest/Tri

Good morning girls!!!

I was so busy painting the trim on the house yesterday that I didn't get my menu planned out}( I must do that before I go into town for an appointment so I'll have to do personals later.

If any of you haven't picked up a copy of Clean Eating magazine this month you have to get it. There is a very practical four week menu and I'm excited to try it out. It has a complete shopping list and it is all basic good for you food. I am also doing a two week liver detox system to help get the junk out:p I'll let you know if it helps rid my body of mini egg munchies:)

I'll see you all in a bit!!

Nicole

Ok- Lets all settle down .....wait.....Mia IS lurking today so lets all talk in code!

My workouts are ALL completed! ZIPPITY - My lower body feels toasty- LOVING the 10 minute trainers! Tony is intense enough to make it worth your time to add them on...also as much as the Classical Stretch lady appears to be a loon(e)???? She really makes my body feel very very good for just a 20 minute session....

TRACY:::*
You just keep crankin' out all these "last times!" soon you'll be 100% XX'd! Gosh theres just me, Debra & Lea out of original group that are single Xers..... I'm good w/ that!:p Yes- I find Stacy very useful when I am being overly nice and/or a people pleaser...

Christiane:::*
Well GOOD about DH! Thank heavens now jobs will be lost over the incident! Glad you are feeling OK 24 hrs after IntervalX. Good Job!

DEBRA:::*
Gotta LUV DST!}( :+ Actually if I had my way (which I dont so why bother w/ the comment!):p :+ FINALLY DOMS! I was beginning to think you only dreamt you did SH Legs! Please take lots of birthday pics!!!~~ ROG about XDH/Putin!!!!!!!!!!!

SANDRA:::*

You are SOOOOOO Colorful! :+ Tell DH I didnt have to stop once during 10 m trainer...wait- I didnt do abs today tho;-) FABULOUS workout today! You are quite the well rounded XXer now arent you?

JEANETTE:::*
Gotta LUV when an oldie basic can still kick bootay! I'm sure your body was just a tad resistant to working aout as it still feels yucky- ya gotta start back some time, right? ~ Wendell was actually "pinned" w/ a diaper when we walked in...it was some game the guys later played...Open your diaper see if you have poop in it...a typical boys game!

WENDY:::*
Well you just repeat as many weeks of X as you'd like! Maybe plan to paint too as that actually gave you AWESOME results if I recall!;-) ROF on your brain hurtin'! You can do this Wendy- I have total faith in you!~~ The gal in 10 minute trainer LOWER looks erxactly like you BTW! ~~ I'm one of the few that actually thinks KickMax is a BETTER wout than KPC...I personally think the drills are waaaayyyyy to long to build up to the combo...bores the tears out of me....JUST MY OPINION- THERE IS NOTHING AT ALL WRONG WITH KPC!

LAURIEXXX :::*
I am so proud of you for embracing your porn-hood! So many women today are embarressed by it.... I wanna see you pole dance!!! We can take pics & send them to your DH for his birthday!!!! Who needs Glamour Shots!:* CALVES: Actually as long as you do the 3-was and the on step etc...w/ wts the calves will shape..Its running/aerobics type things without the concentrated focus on all the heads that creates the BIG BLOB muscle as i call it...many aerobucs instructors who fail to work calves can be spotted a mile away by BIG BLOB calves ;-) NOT THAT THERES ANYTHING AT ALL WRONG WITH BIG BLOB CALVES!

LUV & HUGS TO ALL!!!!

Final #s for Wendells oral surgery next week.... Out of pocket will be 3755. Heavens these things throw me off my game! Good thing the Retreat ticket was already purchased or I'd not be going for sure! OY this one hurts!x(

The kids and I are off work/school today. The kids have an inservice so I arranged my work days to have today off as well. I'm sure enjoying it. We have a beautiful spring like day, it's 0 degrees out and the sun is shining. This morning I did YogaX and lots of spring cleaning. DS has two friends coming over this afternoon to work on their science project. The are doing a little experiment on different activities to see which ones (lifting weights, running, skipping, etc) gets the heart rate up faster/higher. Of course, right now they're just playing videos games and not doing any homework. LOL

Wendy- Ow, on the bruise. How did the chicken turn out yesterday? I love roasted chicken. The thawing is definitely the painful part of being too cold, it wasn't really that cold out I was just dressed for spring rather than winter. I think I was being overly optimistic. WTG on the weight loss!!! That's nice of you to redo the week with your DH. My DH has been skipping more workouts than he's doing, he has pretty much stopped the cardio workouts but still does the weights haphazardly

Traci- Oh my goodness, what a uproar about the clothing choices. i have no patience for that kind of stuff which is why I don't post very often in OD. Lol, on being so dedicated to the cause, I just didn't realize it was so cold or I would have cancelled. I also didn't clue in it when we set the time that it was DST morning. 35# for calf raises, that's awesome!

Christiane- Yes, that was a terrible storm they had out east. I think it hit eastern Ontario all the way to the Atlantic. I had heard some airports were closed. Did you family leave as planned? My sister and her family were on a Carribbean cruise last week and flying home from Miami today. Last year we got stranded in Toronto on the way to Florida due to weather and I felt so sorry for those that were missing their crusies. I would always fly down a day or two early. Glad your DH made it to Russia safely.

Debra - Are you adjusting to DSL time yet. I was glad that the kids had today off it gave them more time to adjust before they have to get up early.

Nicole SOunds like you're feeling better. What renovations are you doing?

Jeanette So who are the axmen? I'm glad to hear that you're taking it easy while surviving the cold. I always think that lots of rest with a cold is really important. DS's team lost and so that's it for the season. He was acting all depressed last night ;-) He sure loves his sports. But spring hockey league will start soon and then he wants to play football. I booked an indoor soccer pitch for his birthday party in a few weeks.
I'm not crazy about the haircut, it's definitely better than it was but she didn't cut it as short as I wanted.
Glad to hear that grandma's appetite is doing better. I'm sure all you're wonderful cooking is helping.

A Canadian retreat is a good idea maybe next year sometime?

Carol- I'm glad to hear that you're all starting to feel better!

Lea Have fun in Arizona! My DH and DS would love a trip like that.

Laurie- I haven't had problems with the website but I wouldn't be surprised if it was kids games. They often seem to cause computer problems. I hope you don't get the cold.

Sandra - Hmm, my girlfriends and I keep talking about trying some different marathons. We have talked about going down to Minneapolis in the fall but Edmonton in July is a thought. Would that marathon have many hills? I was surprised how hilly Edmonton was when we were there a couple of years ago. We, prairie folks, don't run hills. My friend/next door neighbour moved 2.5 years ago, we got very close and her dd and mine were best friends. I was really upset when she moved but haven't kept in touch. I'm not sure what part of Edmonton she's in but if you're really interested I could see if I could dig up her contact info. That lady I talked about who was going to run all the "marathons' is a average lady with English as her first language, works as a professional. We're on the daycare board together and our kids are the same age but boy she was clueless about running. I think she just starting to run after a recent divorce. I just hope she fiqures it out before she actually enters a 26.2 mile run with only a few weeks of short runs under her belt. I told her I'm always looking for a running partner. It would be great to have someone who lives close just to do some short runs. You never know how much advice to give someone when they haven't asked for it.

Have fun at your playdate!

Going to relax for a bit which is a nice luxury and this evening dd and I have piano lessons. Kim
