Xers..........High Five Friday!!!!!!!

Hi all,

Just starting us off. I got up and did BK Sweat this morning, so I'm running late again. Have a great day.

Tracy

Hi all,

Back again... Today is cardio and I'm not sure what, but I'm thinking Amy's KBX. It's not too difficult, but a nice sweat, or maybe ASC2. I'll have to see when I get home.

Jeanette - Do the legs as produced and go as heavy as you can for the first two weeks. I'd even slow PLB down, if it means you can go a little heavier, then lighten up the next week and go a little heavier for GS at the end. You won't need any more leg work if you do cardio on the days she says, and your spinning is one of those days. The sequencing of the workouts is really well planned.

Tracy

Morning Tracy & all Xers~
Happy February! - So today is goal setting for the month.... I shall spend serious time after client this morning & "re-group" so to speak (in terms of my training plan)....I have a diaster of an office which makes for crazy thinking for me so I just need to step off the whirlwind of a crazy busy week and chill, think, plan, organize.

Thanks for all thw DH well wishes & inquiries.... He went to chiropractor yesterday so is better but still walking like hes 105 vs 46..... I think I have him just about convinced to go seek a specialists opinion & cease putting a bandaide on the issue.

Back w/ personals in a few...

Back....

Jeanette:::
Did ya make it to page 100???? I imagine you read while DH watches his bang bang / blow up movies? That would distract me... I stopped reading because I'd have to go into a quiet room alone to stay focused & DH would get up (every commercial break) and come to "see if I was OK" :7 He never could grasp the "quiet" concept. ~ Hoping you have an early spring to enjoy golf again... I wonder if its like riding a bike? :7

TRACY:::
Too funny about the crockpot! Cant ya eat it raw??? Oh I'm sure you had a few choice words about it all! What you ate instead really doesnt seem that horrid.... Should I not be eating canned tuna or was it the bread or the popcorn??? ~ Wendells had back issues for as long as I've known him & its more & more regularly rearing its ugly head. I have talked about your long slow road to recovery but you know men. ~ We are staying in town this weekend as Wendells business has its year end audit today & half day tomorrow, I have to work Saturday morning & he has a ANOTHER fly fishing thing Sat afternoon... So we'll both be here but we wont be together til' SuperBowl! :7 I was laughing this morning seeing "stop Wah Wah" thread... those are just as bad- I dont need to see adults scolding other adults & quite frankly those SAME people jump in on the very threads they seem to be so sick of... UGH! Reminds me of hypocrocy I recall from my Catholic school days... I dont mean to imply catholics are hypocrits but I DO think organized religion & politics is a breeding ground for it.... If I opened a can of worms here just ignore the statement. :* I do hope you are able to get out & about this weekend ... I see a run in your future???:7

NICOLE:::
Nice job on your yoga!!!! LOL on PMS! Wendell said the same thing this morning when he kissed me goodbye: " I hope your PMS is better today honey" }( Did you get out to enjoy the sun & warmth?????? We are suppose to have yet another BEAUTIFUL weekend! ZIPPITY!

DEBRA:::
Happy Presentation Day!!!!! Glad you had a great day yesterday!!!!!

SANDRA:::
What a great story about your DH's folks! I LOVE non-traditional relationships- I think we can get so fixed on tradition that we forget that its suppose to be about the love & respect. More power to all couples who break free of "rules" and do whats best for them! ~ LOL on your addiction! Me too baby! Best damn drug ever invented/discovered! ~~ ROF about skunk! Hey whatever works for ya!!! ~ I do hope you are finding your way through all the crud going on in life... Let us know how your meeting went yesterday & if that brightened your spirits. Big hugs to you!!! ~ Thanks for detailed thoughts on Mesocycles...Actually I was thinking it was a way to never "burnout..." }( According to AFPA - Body builders & PT's stay on & keep their clients on year round MesoCycles. A Meso is really nothing more than a pre-determine goal for the body. Whats flexible year in & year out is how you actuall perform the exercises... IE: Building strength might be PYRAMIDs or ECCENTRIC training - I think its more of a mindset of " For the next 4 weeks I will be doing high reps/ lower wt." kinda thing..... I have yet to sit w/ the calendar & see where I need to start to have my MesoCycles fall where I want. Summer needs to be either leaning months (cardio @ bay) or maintenance mode )little to nothing @ bay) but I gotta plan it out.

Ok gang I got long winded AGAIN:+ so I will BRB with more personals!:*

Finishing Up here......

:* TeddyGirl:*
Oh sweetie I am so sorry about all the drama, tears, pain, conflict etc..... relationships @ best are super challenging at times. I think theres a fine line between compromise & cavin' in! Look into your heart & be open to whatever it tells you. Just an aside- I think Sandras thoughts on the matter are cool! I actually tried to get DH to do that before we married but he is waaaay to traditional in that respect. ~ Whatever direction you go- ultimate goal is always to Be Happy & Fulfilled!

:7 LAURIE:7
Gosh you are really doing awesome with the doubles! How does a person who works outside the home, has kids @ home, DH @ home & animals to take care of, EVER find time & energy for doubles!? Seriously- how do you pull it off day in & day out?

:7 :7 On the DD Coffee for retreat!:7 :7
I heard a few weeks ago thats its now available at grocery stores (they carry starbucks too- in the coffee isle!) I am embarred to say that I recall having a DD coffee YEARS ago & didnt like it at all! *ducking to avoid the flying mugs* - I am willing however to try it again & I shall bring some to retreat should I be asked to do so! IF I still dont like it tho- Debra MUST get me to a starbucks ASAP!

Good morning gang. How is everyone doing this morning? Happy Friday!
I haven't done yoga or anything for three days and feeling it. Yesterday my youngest was sick and this morning at 3am he really got sick. Poor guy. So I have no idea if I will be able to workout again today. My youngest and oldest DS and my DH are all suppose to go to my moms tonight to spend the night and do something with them tomorrow morning. Yes, that would mean that I would have the house to myself. So hopefully......I hope my guy feels better.

I am sorry to hear all that has been happening in Xer land. It is not a very happy time for a lot of you is it?? I give everyone ((((HUGS))) in hopes that next week will be better for everyone.

I will try to be back later with personals. Yesterday ds wanted me to sit on the couch with him all day. So we will see what today brings. Have a great day.

Lea

LEA:::
So glad you checked in - I was so hoping your absence wasnt IL related. Sorry about sickies- gotta be hard in so many ways. XXOO:*

Classic/ Week 11/ Day 5/ Legs & Back; ARX (subbing)

Good morning,

Tracy inspired me yesterday to look at the Legs & Glute premixes more closely, and I've decided to try that Leg Press Mania premix, with chin/pull ups inserted throughout. Then I'll do the BootCamp Core only premix. I don't have time to add a yoga warm up session, but will do some later today. I stayed in bed too long this morning, so I have to hurry along. I'll bbl to catch up with ya'll.

Cheers,
Sandra

Hi all...missed the discussion on the DD coffee...But we are civilized here...We have a DD and a Starbucks!! You are certainly welcome to bring your own...you will have to let me know what kind of creamers, sugars, etc you prefer as I am a non coffee drinker....I have lots of diet coke instead...LOL! Hope everyone has a great day...will be back the afternoon to catch up with everyone. It is dreary and cold and rainy...ICK.

And, yes, CB stands for cute boy....CBL stands for cute boy Larry!

Happy day to all who follow!

Well school was delayed 2 hours, but I didn't even check because it was just raining, so I'm here 2 hours early. Oh well, it saves me from sitting in traffic for an hour.

Ahhh Traci - I fell prey and posted on the anti Wah Wah thread. I don't think it hurts to remind people of being positive. For some, it will never stick though. Old habits are hard to break; especially if you don't want to.

Sandra - Glad I was an inspiration to try a different premix. I love what leg presses do to the legs, I think you will too. I'm going to do HST cardio leg premix on Saturday for my light circuit. That one has a bunch too.

Debra - Do you have an extra fridge full of Diet Coke? Does CB drink Diet Coke too.

Lea - Glad you are still around. You have to be very consistent with the stretching or the progress is going to be very slow.

Tracy

TRACY! Well its OK to post on an ANTI- if you in fact arent on the "other one" ! LOL.... You are too funny! The only ones I really look to see if Xers post on are the sex topics! :7 I should keep my trap shut or no Xers will ever post on OD!

Good morning,
Today was The Gauntlet, or rather 65 minutes of it. Did get most of it in. I can sure tell my cardio capacity is improving.

Didn't read any of my book last night as I started looking up pictures of Norwich Terriers. They are so cute and DH agreed. Would love to have one, but 2 is just right for us right now.

Tracy, thanks for the leg advice. I'm excited about starting! Can you get off 2 hours early? Or will it be OT today? Enjoy Amy today. I'm still waiting for my Step Challenge DVD from her. I got it on Deep Discount so it will be a little while.

Traci, glad Wendell can walk now. Hope you can get him headed in the right direction. Did all your clients come thru this week? What kind of goals do you have for this month? I'm hoping that my golf swing will be like riding a bike. Wait a minute, my swing is so bad, maybe I need to forget that one and start over LOL! I never got back to the book as I started looking at puppy pictures. I buy Starbuck's coffee at Safeway all the time. I like the Starbuck's better than DD.

Lea, sorry about the sick kiddos. So many sick right now. I don't know how I've avoided it.

Sandra, have fun with the leg presses. I wasn't keen about doing leg presses with the barbell on my back yesterday for Pyramid Lower Body. Just took me a bit to get comfortable going on the step.

Latrese, hope you got a good sleep last night and things looking better for today.

Jeanette

Morning Xers,

Round 3/Phase 3/Week 9/Day 2
Workout: PlyoX (Changed to Bootcamp Cardio Blast plus the KB Cardio)

Workout was a goodie this morning. I put a 1 min. rest in-between all the blasts. Since the BC Blasts where not that long I tacked on the KB stuff too. :D It's funny how those terminator climbers are so much easier when you haven't been lifting weights along with the workout. Makes the shoulders stronger to hold the body up.

Slow going into work this morning, and I got to see a fender bender happen right before my eyes. I did manage to get into a skid this morning too, but of course I'm a good driver and didn't hit anything. ;-) We where suppose to only get 1-3" of snow, but ended up with over 8", and it was still snowing on my way to work. I can't believe I still have to go through 2 more months of this white stuff! x(

DH is able to put a chin-up bar in the basement. :D I showed him where I thought the thing could go, and he said "now why didn't I think of that". :D So I'm doing a happy dance right now, but may not be after trying to do a chin-up. :7 :7 :7

Sandra (Cathe Cat), Ok you are weird for liking the smell of skunk. :7 :7 It's not a bad smell until you have a dog that is sprayed. Oh what a awful smell that is. Have you tried the premix on the BC/ME DVD? It is on the bottom of the main menu, and mixes BC & ME for a circuit. It can get overlooked sometimes, but that one is a wopper of a workout.

Nicole, Since my girls didn't get all the cleaning done, I'm taking your meez. She seems like an energetic girl to me. Bet the house would be clean in no time. :7 :7 Glad you where able to get so much done yesterday! Have fun with Kenpo+ today.

Traci, I to was looking at those OD posts with wonder and amazement. Must be cabin fever that they are all suffering from. :D My happy weight would be 150, just wish my body thought the same thing. :D So I sould have posted on the Stripper OD topic!! :7 :7 Glad Wendell is feeling better. I'm going to tell you my secret about how I do all these things. I don't do housework!!! Oh my house is clean, but not like a show piece. If the DH didn't help me as much as he does, I don't think we could walk around our house. :7 :7 But the important thing is my kids, DH and dog get feed every day! :7 :7

Debra, Have you tried the Coke Zero? I have found that I like that one better than the diet coke. Seems to have more of the flavor of a regular coke. :D Of course we where bad and left all of our coke in the fridge in our garage. So now we have quite a few burst cans from the freezing temps. x( Hope your presentation goes well for you today.

Tracy, I had to google the skunk thing yesterday, and did find out that they don't hibernate. Mythbusters did an episode on how to get rid of the smell. Tomato juice was not effective and made a big mess. My dog probably would be trying to lick all the juice off herself. :7 :7 Dang on the crockpot! Here you where probably really disapointed in having to eat a tuna sandwitch. x( I love chili!

Jeanette, Any coffee is fine with me too. I can't even imagine spinning for 2 hours. I think you are the smart one to bail after 60 min. :D Now I'm going to have to google a Norwich Terrier. I think one of my goals is to learn something new every day. Yesterday was skunks. :7 :7

Lea, Hope your DS gets better soon, it would be nice for you to have a day to yourself. Those are always something that I treasure. I have some info on some Winsor Pilates that you may want to check out. Maximum Burn and Power Sculpting Advanced with the band. These where recommendations from one of my WI friends that does pilates.

TG, I'm happy dancing right along with you!! :7 :7 I have to start pulling out my CC's and do those workouts more. I have been missing my running lately. Wonder why I stopped.

Have a great day!

Laurie

Hi all, today is dd's turn to be sick. She is sleeping on the living room couch. Friday's my day off work and all I was planning on doing was going for groceries and YogaX so no rescheduling had to be done. She's so different than her brother when he is sick he wants to cuddle and have my attention but she wants to be left alone and have her own space and definitly she does not want me to talk. So I should be able to do YogaX while she's home today.

Last night I did B&B for the first time, ARX for the millionth time and a 3 mile run on the tm using CC#2.

Jeanette- I have three of the Cardio Coach workouts but got them not to long ago so have only used them a few times so will look forward to using them with my doubles rotation in phase 2. How is your dad feeling?

Debra- What great pics! Thanks for sharing, it's always nice to put a face to a name. Maybe this weekend I'll try and figure out how to share some pictures.

Traci- Oh my goodness on DH's back injury. Hope it's better soon! I have to admit that when you all start posting about premixes etc my eyes glazed over. LOL Too complicated for me, I don't like too many choices. I like monthly rotattions that someone smarter than me figures out. As a personal trainer, you would be very knowledgable in designing programs

Teddigirl ((HUGS)) I'm not sure what to say, hopefully you are able to work out a relationship where both are you are happy.

Sandra- the open door must have worked because it's warmer here finally! Maybe this weekend we'll get to go skating on the world's longest skating rink. Did you hear that our city put in the longest skating trail, lots of media about it but it's been too cold for anyone to use.

Nicole- WTG on getting the housework done up! HAve fun on your errands today

Lauire Well at least you had clean laundry, were the girls off school for a snow day?

lea ((HUGS)) on the sick kiddies. Gotta to go check on my little sick one. Kim

Ahhh....seems like my magic wand is working. Young DS is up and running around right now. But I will be ever so careful today with him so that he can have fun with grandma.

Tracy - Sorry that you have to wait 2 more hours for school. What a bummer. But at least we can hear from you a little more. I hear you on the stretching. My back after 3 days of missing stretching is all out of whack. Must get on the yoga train again. How are you doing?

Traci - Wouldn't you know it, I was carrying your Natalia Rose book in my bag and it fell out into water. Guess I have to get you a new one and keep a copy. You don't know how sad that makes me;) . I absolutely love the book. Sorry to hear about Wendell. Guys don't deal with pain very well do they? And I just have to say mmmmm...DD coffee:9 .

Debra - Hey there missy, what is your meez doing? Looks a little sassy. Sorry it is raining there yet again. But on the brighter side, the retreat at your house does sound fun. I know that all of you will have a blast!!

Sandra - You are just miss workout queen these days. Go girl!

Jeanette - Great job on your cardio. I am glad also that you have avoided being sick. It is not fun.

TG - So sorry to hear about you and Ted. I also agree with Sandra's advice. I can't wait to see the dreads. I bet they do look really good.

Nicole - Have fun with Kenpo. Enjoy the sunshine.

Wendy - HI!!!!!!!!

And hi to everyone else behind. Have a great Friday.

Lea

It looks like Laurie and Kim snuck in...

Laurie - I am sure that it gets tiring snowing and being cold a lot. I know I wouldn't be able to handle that. Of course I am a California gal and 50 degrees is freezing to me. Don't laugh, I am such a wimp, I know. Good work on the chin up bar. How fun is that going to be? Thank you so much for the info on Winsor Pilates. I will definately check it out.

Kim - (((HUGS))) on your sick DD. It's a bummer when you have a day planned and rearrange your plans. I do hope that she gets better quick.

Lea

Laurie: I’ve been really enjoying all three CC that’s all me :+ have but they are awesome. You probably stopped running cuz you got bored, as I sometimes do, that’s why I made the comment need to get back to KB and stepping.

Kim: you are a sweet heart:)

Well HELLO from Luxembourg. It's all white here... It started snowing a few hours ago and I am now looking through my office window to a white covering. It's so funny as being from Montreal I was so used to snow till at least March if not later. They are all complaining here and it's only beginning of February. It probably won't stay and I'll most likely wake up tomorrow and it will all be gone.
I was a party pooper for the last few days. Just didn't get to my laptop to catch-up. Ballet was god Wedensday. However I am more of a classical ballet lover and this was very contemporary. I just cannot appreciate it as much as classical. And the second piece was to Stavinski music which is way out there...:eek: But I might as well get use to it because DD would like to make the change to contemporary eventually...;(
Today was Day 7, Week 3, Phase 2....So YE... into the recovery week. Although I did some catch-up, I did not w/o Wednesday....BAD, BAD, BAD}( }( }( , so I cought-up Thursdady with L&B and subbed ARX for Core Max-1. Today I did Kenpo and I'll add a stretch after this post.
I really have to take myself under control...nothing bad but just a lack of focus...doesn't always feel like w/o and not too good with the diet. Again nothing that will take me back, but just lack of consistency. OK Christiane, kick yourself in the booty and FOCUS...}( }( }(
On to personals. I did not go all the way to my last post as I would be here for a few hours, but here it goes...:+

Wendy~~ So good to hear from you. I hope all is well with your travel experiences and welcome back to the US.

TraciX~~ I guess I miss the whole discussion about the Java... As many said, there's so much I am willing to give up and my AM coffe, well I need/want/will take it. I've already givin up most of my wine drinking...No I wasn't a wino...;-) but just enjoyed a glass of wine with diner. Now I have some just once to max 3 times/week. And just one glass...:( Oh poor DH... What a sorry bunch of folks we are with all our little (sometime serious) "bobo" ...that's real Quebec speaking...:+ I am with you about being organized. It feels that I am not productive unless my days and weeks are planned.

Debra~~ DD is not my only child. I also have a 23 yr/old(almos 24) DS. He is finishing up college....one of those Supeeeeeer Senior...}(

TeddyGirl~~ Oh... what a situation with Ted...:-( I hope things will get under control and you will sort out what is best for you and your relashionship.

Laurie~~ Talking about skunks and Cami... Years ago when our house in MI was under construction we were living in an apartment and decided to take a walk with Tiger. DH couldn't stand to have him leached so he let him free. A man walking by suggested we leach him as he smelled something like a skunk, which we did. But of course a few minutes later DH couldn't stand it so... YEP, as soon as he was unleached, he ran to something and sure enough it was a skunk...got him right in the face... and we were living in an apartment... Needless to say I was not very happy!x( Ah!...pull-up bars... it's a love/hate relationship. I am anxious to see if my Woody bands made it home in MI. Here I've been using the Bowflex as we have no door frames.

Lea~~ So sorry about the little ones being sick. It seems that you are doing better if you were able to tackle a run. But please take it easy and come back slowly but surely....like we look like a bunch of girls that take it easy...:+

Jeanette~~ I am sure your cardio capacity is quite good with all you're doing!:p

OK it's all for now. HUGS and KISSES to all the other Xers... A bientot.
