~Looking forward to something new & different today for legs – I love the surprise element of a brand new workout!

~ STILL heading to Dr tomorrow gang- gotta see what I’ve done over past year to this thing.. all swollen again today and shooting forearm pain last night.

~ Thanks for all the boat/DH/Juicer comments. It is making him happy and as much as I might get distraught over the $ the fact is he works so hard and has changed his carefree spending so much over the last 6 years that I really cant stay upset for long. He’s a great guy – I just want a million dollars in the bank to retire but will settle for a happy mate I suppose. It’s all give & take right? – I do think I should have gotten the better juicer tho! LOL:p

~ For having so many MIA Xers we sure chatted it up yesterday!!!!

~ QUESTION: A Lot of you seem to be doing SH now… Is this because of new series – if yes WHY? –Did I miss the Xers/SH rotation post??? Whats going on out there??? Don’t ya’ll know I can’t lift SH yet??? WHATS UP????

LOVED your last post yesterday.. Had a “I’M BACK!” feeling to it!!! So rock tumbling must be exciting to DD? I think it’s a great little hobby for her- or is it for mom? Hey wait a minute… you aren’t going to use all those rocks to throw at anyone are ya? If the cops find all the rocks in basement you’re screwed! Get rid of the evidence! ~ AWESOME way to get SH Chest done and that’s as a DOUBLE! ! I agree that the planks at the end are too much! I am always in awe of the endurance of Cathe’s muscles… Does she EVER burn out? I tell myself all the time that she & crew film abs on different day than w/o’s! LOL- I just lie to myself to feel better! ~ ROFL WB and Seaman! THAT’S WHAT I SAID when I met him!!! When we met he had a 28 ft off shore boat that was so friggin big it looked like the Titanic to me… His arms & legs were HUGE with pumped muscles because he’d fight 800# Marlin offshore for 12-14 hours each fish! Add that to his Marlin tattoo that is on his shoulder…. He looked like he’d been off to sea for months at a time! ~ ~Your entire day just sounded perfect yesterday! You sounded EXHAISTED in your last post & that was BEFORE GKs!!! LOLOLOL!!!! You do seem to run on super high speed and then crash! I have this tendency as well- all it takes is for me to sit in WBs recliner and I go from 150mph to asleep in about 30 seconds! LOL ~ Wendell ill be taking it down to bay (it stays there) this coming weekend but Sandy & I will stay at home… I wont get to go for a ride until November sometime and that’s IF Sandy can handle the stairs… My EVERY weekend bay days are over as long as Sandy hangs in there… That’s OK- she’s worth it. ~ ROF about Dr/Charley Horse!!!! I sure will ask… Just remember that this guy is an arm specialist so I may get strange advice! LOL

Why am I up at 7 o'clock on a Sunday morning you may ask??? I have no idea...I am sure I will crash around 2 this afternoon! I hate being awake early on a day that I could sleep as late as I want...GRRR! I am planning on doing a long ab session today plus tacking on the planks I didn't do yesterday...and then a 30 minute cardio of some sort. Then finally an end to this rotation week...which I think last 2 weeks....one more week of SH then I think I will do a one body part rotation. Haven't planned it all out yet...but will let you know when I do. Tomorrow will be a rest day for me. I have some paperwork I really need to get to...and I am also helping in DD's class tomorrow morning for an hour or so. They are painting tshirts for some project or another.

Traci...Glad Wendell is so pleased with his boat! Don't know why everyone else is doing SH. My rotation with it has lasted much longer than I planned due to unscheduled days off, boredom, etc. Hope DH has a great day at the Texan game! I am sure you will get lots done while he is away. Glad to see you are still headed to the doc in the morning. I will be interested to hear what he has to say. Let us know about your new workout too...always in the market for something new. If I can just keep XDH off the computer then my week will be just fine! Although after out last exchange I haven't heard from him. I think it is finally sinking in to him that this is over...the problem is now he is going to get mad...and then it could get really nasty. Oh boy.

Tracy...Actually XDH hasn't even made his trip to the States yet...I have that joy to look forward to in 2 weeks. We just had a few bad email exchanges which always frustrates me. Hope you got some of that laundry done last night....I finally put away a weeks worth of laundry yesterday...still have to put DD's away today. Hopefully she will be old enough soon to do it herself without making too big of a mess! What fun do you have planned for today? Is FIL at your house for the weekend?

Nicole...LOL about the cheese...I figure whatever healthy you can sneak into their diets is fair game!

Wendy...Glad your DD's had a good time with the pumpkins yesterday...and aren't you just Becky-homecky making pumpkin rolls! Phil must be glad he finally got the kitchen to a point that you can cook again. And a workout done too yesterday...What a woman you are!

Teddygirl....I did stay away from the pizza yesterday...but then I really didn't eat anything but crackers and cheese for dinner...so I don't know which is worse! Glad you had fun with the kids...I bet you can just toss them around like feathers!

Hi all,

Today is a bike ride and I'm going shortly, so I can get it over with. I need to go to the grocery store. I still haven't planned the rest of my workouts for this week. I need to do that today too, plus prepare meals for the nights that I get home late so I don't have to worry about cooking on those nights.

Traci - I don't think you missed the memo about S&H. I haven't done it in a while. I thought it would be a nice change. I have to be in the mood for that one. I had to clean my workout area, so I was wiping up the floor and mopping in between sets. That took some of the boredom factor away and I felt like I was multitasking. I did the smaller muscle groups first, then left chest and back for last. Yes, the chest was shaking by the end, and I didn't have to go as heavy, but I've found that I can still get the same strength/toning/muscle density benefits using lighter weights when the muscles are prefatigued. That was a revelation from when my back was at it's worst and I was only lifting 15 lb dbs. I actually did incline and decline work only for chest, just to change things up a bit. I threw the pit workout in the trash. I made the mistake of previewing it in while I was cooking and OMG, the kids had a field day with it. DS gave me so much grief about the poor form and overall poor quality of the dvd that I just pitched it. I don't know why I fall victim to those things. The other day I previewed Amy Bentos pictures from the new workouts and they had some choice comments about her chest too. I hope I didn't waste $50 on those.

Debra - I was up at 6. I tried to sleep a little longer, but the dogs were ready to get up. Sounds like XDH doesn't like it when things don't go his way:) How many weeks did you do S&H? I'm thinking I might do 3, but it will probably be 2 just because of the boredom factor. If you figure out how to get DD to put away her clothes at that age you are doing a lot better than I ever did.

I guess I'll go get my bike ready so that I can head out. Happy Sunday to all who are around, and those who are not!

PS. Traci - Sorry about the arm. Could you have overdone it yesterday with so much stretching? I'm beginning to worry a little. I'll be waiting patiently tomorrow to hear what the specialist says. Hang in there.

[font face="book antiqua"][i ]Well hello biker chick! Hope your ride this fine morning makes you feel free as a bird! I KNEW you sent a SH memo out & didn’t copy me! I like the sound of multi tasking with SH- definitely would help with boredom… I like the sound of how you did the work & of course I totally am in agreement about actual weight used and muscle reaction. – I think if I did it as all upper I’d probably do only 2 exercises per part… If I recall theres 3?.. anyway, I usually look at what you do and drop about 20% then I have my ultimate max! LOL~Do tell me I didn’t waste more $ on The Pit! SH**!!!!!!!! I shall see what I think of lower & avoid previewing anything else. I looked at the slideshow for SloMo (only one I ordered) and as usual AMY gets highly creative with her equipment! Not saying its good or bad because that is based on safety of move & results for me but it does look interesting. I think for sure that it will be the last non-Cathe I purchase tho- I have 6 or 7 diverse Kickboxing now so that should do me fine – for strength I have all of Cathe + a couple Amys + a couple MISC… I think my body will be just fine without additional purchases for a few years. (REMIND ME OK?!) ~ On the arm… The odd part about yesterday was that after the actual w/o not making it feel good – yesterday overall was by far the best day I’ve had with it in weeks… laid in bed watching TV and all of a sudden the forearm starts having small spasms with shooting pain and hand became swollen immediately… It stopped after about an hour and is swollen and achy this morning. WEIRD huh? The only thing I did before bed was took Ibupropin for my cramps… Who knows- maybe now I’m allergic to that! LOL [/i][font/ book antiqua]

[font face="book antiqua"][i ]Loverly having coffee with you today! No doubt we will BOTH be taking naps today.. Its day 2 of ttom for me so its my worst feeling day usually. Did I ever tell you that Cheese & Crackers is my all time favorite dinner? When Sandy & I were single it was usually in bed at midnight! Ahhhh those were the days. I am indeed already getting lots done & DH is still here! My office is piled high with paperwork for business & personal and it is all sorted and ready to be filed. I also cleaned out (again!) the office closet that seems to attract all my “What do I do with this” items. ~ Sorry the next stage for DH is anger.. good thing he’s FAR away – you can always let him know that if in October he chooses to act like a beast you shall have lawyers talk for you! As much as I understand the roller coaster of emotions I should think that the love people once had would keep true raw anger in tact somewhat. Good morning. Hows it going everyone??? No workout today. I woke up completely sore from doing Yoga X, feeling like I received a big massage yesterday or something.

Traci X - We are going to head to the beach today. Maybe the beach air will clean up my nasal passages. If not, then I have to purchase a netti pot like Miss Wendy X. ROFLMA about Wendell. Two peas in a pod is right.

Debra X - 7 am is waking up early? Gosh I want to live at your house!!! Great dinner last night. I am sure that you thoroughly enjoyed yourself :).

Tracy X - I hope that your bike ride is good. I am jealous. I want a bike too. Maybe Santa will be nice to me this year. I hope for your sake that Amy Bento's workouts are good too. It's a killer when the guys make fun of that stuff.

Nicole - Love the sneaking in on the cheese. TJ's sells Rice cheese too if you don't want to give them soy. I switched my milk on the kids from the cow's milk to hemp milk. I feel much better about giving them that. I also tend to sneak the non-dairy cheese in too. No comments so far. LOL. I hope that you didn't get rained on too bad yesterday. It poured here in the afternoon.

That is all I have time to write right now. Must not neglect the kids any longer. They are hungry. Have a great day and hi to everyone that follows!!

Rest day for me:D Resting from what I don't know. Sundays are our family day so I take this day off every week.

Traci-X, I hate to hear that your shoulder is acting up again! It's probably better that way so you can show the doctor. It seems whenever I make an appointment the problem goes away:p The pb comment was mine. I read up on it once and it grossed me out! Peanuts absorb a large amount of pesticide because of how they grow. Mix that with some nasty shortening and sugar and you have commercial peanut butter:eek: I only buy organic with nothing added because of the fact that no pesticides are used to grow them. And there is my rant about peanut butter:)

TracyX, I sure do hope you can convert your DH over to organic peanut butter. I wouldn't touch regular with a ten foot poll! So sorry you had to wast $ on the Pit workout:( I've never heard of it but I'm glad I didn't get it. I'm sure Amy Bento's form is great and the boys will like her if not just for a pretty face:)

LeaX, Have a ton of fun at the beach! It's a bit too chilly for the beach here but it is going to really warm up next week:) All told I think we got 1/32" of rain, maybe. I'll have to look at the rice cheese. I don't know if you've ever had Soya Kaas but it tastes a lot like regular cheese. I use to eat it all the time when I was vegan.

DebraX, I am bummed to hear XDH may start to get nasty. I am sure it's a hit to his male pride to have to tell everyone his wife is leaving him. I was really hoping he would have long ago come home to sweep you off your feet and make all well again, but I see that isn't going to happen. What does he do that he can't manage to come home straight away? Well, at least there are fun activities to distract you a bit. Fall is my favorite season too! I love the food, the weather, oh and the food:9

SandraX, Where are you? Are you in cake baking land? How was DD little party? How did your final go? I hope all went well and you are working hard on Tuesday's cake:)

LOL on the PB! I KNEW I missed something (again!)..... I just read in a Raw Food book that peanuts (even in whole form) are not a good choice at all.... Cant recall WHY at this moment (must be a senior one) but I shall looksie...... You had me chuckling with the Rest Day from what? ROFL- FROM YOGA WEEK!!!!! You are so funny!

I had a great ride. The weather is absolutely beautiful today. I finally was able to push past the 35-40 mile plateau that I haven't been able to get past and I rode 45 miles without hitting a wall. I averaged 15 mph, which isn't any speed record, but considering how many people were on the bike trail today, and my increased milage, I felt really good about that. I ate some beans on my salad last night, so maybe the carbs helped, plus I ate a Power Bar Triple Threat before I rode, and 1/2 of a regular Power Bar and 1/3 of a Protein Plus while I was riding.

Traci - If I recall, muscle spasms are part of the healing process. I think when those started is when I ended up going to the dr for my back. It was so painful I just couldn't stand it. I'm not a medication person, and I took 1/4 of what was prescribed, but the muscle relaxers did stop the spasms and allowed the whole mess to start healing. Glad you are getting something done. I got past the OMG stage, so now I can just gleefully walk past what mess is left and ignore it! I hope you enjoy the pit. I'll be waiting to here what you think. I hope the girls' form is better for the lower than the pushups; it was dreadful.

Lea - The bike is nice, but with young kids it would probably be difficult to fit in because it is time consuming. Maybe when they get a little older.

Nicole - Enjoy your day with the family. Your recovery week is over isn't it? What do you have planned for next week? Aren't peanuts known to have a lot of mold? Sounds inviting doesn't it?

Just a quick fly by. Stayed up till 1 in the morning rolling dough and making apple pies with middle son. Told him he had to help if he wanted to eat any!:p Off to make some coconut sticky rice with bananas steamed cakes. Then to run some errands before dh gets home.

No workout scheduled for today. Looks like chair spinning time with videos scattered around. Where I'll stop, nobody knows!:7

Hi all...back again with my workout completed! I did the Self Firm, Flat Abs, plus my left over planks from yesterday. Then I did an Imax3 premix...nice 35 minute interval cardio workout. DD and I went to the farmer's market again and got some more mums and a couple of decorative cabbages...plus a couple more pumpkins and some gourds...and some bittersweet too. Nice quick outing. Now I just have to work up to actually planting all I got...LOL! It's pretty hot outside right now...and I am feeling pretty tired from getting up too early..so I may just take a nap first!

Lea...It is just that Sunday is a great day for me to sleep late, so I don't like to get up before 8 if I can help it. Hope you guys have a great time at the beach today! Get those hungry children some carrots!

Traci...Thanks for all the moral support with XDH...He is really just realizing that I am completely serious about all of this...I think he has been fooling himself into thinking that I wasn't completely done. It's amazing that after 14 years together he still doesn't know me as well as he should. He's going to be mad because things didn't go his way. We'll see how nasty it gets...I am certainly hoping for DD's sake that he keeps himself in line. Have you done the Pit yet??? Glad you are at least getting your space all clean and organized...are you sure you don't want to come up here and do my office too?? That is worse to me than laundry...LOL!

Tracy...Sounds like you had a great ride...I'm sure you are much faster than I am! You had me LOL about throwing the Pit away after the ridicule of your family...That's pretty bad! You and Nicole are cracking me up about the peanut butter...I guess it's a good thing I don't eat much of it! Let's see...I think I have been doing SH for 4 weeks now....I have one more week until I switch up. And you're right..XDH doesn't like it when things don't go his way....in fact that is a bit of an understatement...LOL!

Nicole...XDH offered to come home and sweep me off my feet...but by the time he offered it was just too late. Hope you have a great time with all your boys today...and yes, you need a rest day even though you just did yoga this week! Fall does have the best food!!! Pumpkin pies and apple pies and squash casserole...Yummo!

Okay...I think I am going to take that nap now...and then I will head out to plant all my foliage. My mom is bringing over spaghetti later...The local Greek church has a spaghetti dinner as a fund raiser a couple times of year...and so that's what we are having! Have a great afternoon all...

Traci, so sorry your shoulder is still acting up. Definitely time for a trip to the doctor, I say! Hmm, glad you made it through the LB workout. Not something I'd do voluntarily on TOM day 2... but now it's DONE, hallelujah, eh?

Debra, yuck on the nasty e-mail exchanges. And I'm sure it's far from over. But as long as you are moving the right direction you can bear in mind that every day is new progress.

Today was Step Blast (fun!) plus B&G abs and a little of Stretch Max 2. Just right. Haven't done SB in a very long time. A classic drip-on-the-step style of Cathe experience.

Can I just say I can't wait for the new Cathe workouts to ship?
Tomorrow will be GS Legs, I think. Gotta do my tough LB workout for the week. I try to hit each body part 2-3 times, but LB is the biggest dread factor for me. Hate that booty DOMS and love it, all at the same time.
