Sounds like you had a fabulous time with your in-laws! Congrats on getting so much accomplished while they were there- cant wait to see landscaping pics!

Ψ Debra X
So sorry you have caught the crud! I usually end up sicker than when I started if I go near a Drs office… Hope you are going to take it a bit easy or being sick can make the move prep feel like a mountain to climb. Thanks for posting your generic rotation… Sometimes I make them so difficult and yours is simple and gets the job done! Glad you are enjoying some of your “new” DVDS… At least theres options on the shelf right? We gals just gotta have that!

Ψ Cheryl
Big big hugs! That is so frustrating when in essence your business comes to a halt! I sure hope you are back up and running and sorting thru the backlog! I think Mary’s starting X with you today… Theres always company around here! Go for it and let Tony help you take out all your aggressions! CONGRATS on the high step topper! I actually use mine (with risers) as the “chair” in Tony’s workouts… great investment and timing!

Ψ Wendy
Every time I tune into WORKOUT it’s a repeat… What day/time is the “real” episode each week… I keep catching the same 5 or 6 episodes!
Glad you are going a different route with Waverly… cracked me up about the office visit tho- kids can really make their parents look like they spend zero time with them at home! Too funny- I can hear you in the car now- “Honey, why didn’t you tell mom you were……” Still muddling thru yesterdays AFPA mess… I’ll be happy if its in mail before next week at this rate. Life marches on! I caught your tidbit last night that your friends MRI was normal!!! HOORAY! I’m sure she is thrilled to have that off her mind! LOLOLOL on Shiva- energy THIS B*- was what I took from your little rant! hahahahahahaahah

Ψ Jeanette X
^5 on beating yet another personal goal! You so deserve to see all these improvements with your dedicated focus & training. I’d freak out going 34mph downhill! My tummy would be well up into my throat! LOL on all the vasectomy talk… My DH came out of the procedure room white as a ghost I said – Ya OK honey and he said Lets get out of here! He didn’t speak an entire sentence to me for 48 hours! CRACKED ME UP! Then he tells me all the details which of course had me in stitches! He wasn’t laughing… I finally got so tired of the looks of indignation that I told him detail by detail of annual ob/gyn check-up- then I told him about my 2 female surgeries in detail and the recovery time on those! That put Mr… “You just don’t understand” in his place! LOLOLOL

جججججججججججج جججججججججججج جججججججججججج

Off to get workouts in as our phone service was disconnected yesterday… DH was in charge of transfer of service…. That should explain it all!
ANYWAY- new company scheduled out today before noon- so now the 3 places I have to go to resolve my AFPA fiasco has to wait til the afternoon. Urrrrrrrrr – Today shall be a better day! I just know it….

RE: ::::: Xers :::::

Hi all,

Yesterday's bike ride was memorable only because it was 20 degrees hotter than the weekend and there was a horrilbe cross wind that actually moved me and the bike on more than one occasion, plus the pollen was so bad my contacts felt miserable even with glasses on. Oh, and I really did feel like cra*. Then I came home and did Shiva yoga. I can finally get my hands flat on the ground with my legs straight.

Today is Sweatfest and probably some extra leg work and then magically hips.

Jeanette- Congratulations on the speed. I wanted to ask you, how long does it take you to get warmed up on the bike? I'm finding that it is at least 5+ miles.

Wendy - You have to learn a new language to do Shiva, it makes it all the more challenging and relaxing, which improves the flexibility.

Traci - sorry about the tech problems. I know how frustrated I am when the internet is slow, much less things are down. No doubles day? Do you think the ttom/workout planning is helping?

If you've only done Tony yoga and you get Shiva it will be quite a switch, but stick with it. It is really effective. If anyone wants me to help with programs using the matrix, let me know. I know most of the segments pretty well.

To all who are starting the X today, have fun. It is quite an adventure.

BBL,

Tracy

RE: ::::: Xers :::::

Good morning!

How are you today?

TraciX - oh dear, what went so terribly wrong with your AFPA pictures yesterday?? I'm sorry you're having such a frustrating time. You were very smart to set yourself an early deadline so you have time to deal with problems like this. Back & Biceps today, hey? The Popeye workout! Love it! My protein sources are from beans and soy, primarily. I also sparingly eat nuts, nut butters, and hummus. Oh, you reminded me!: Ages ago I bought some frozen edamame beans. They're still in the freezer. What do I do with them??? Steam them for 10 minutes?

TracyX - I found Shiva's new workout on Amazon.ca, as well as the core one, and an audio cd that looks like it's the music from Shakti. I think I'll be ordering myself a Shiva-package today. Woohoo! I understand your description of Shiva's transitions; she does something like it in a few of the segments on Shakti. I like that very much. And I also love the idea of a yoga without sun-salutations! They're wonderful, for sure, but I don't need more-of-the-same. Hands can be flat on the floor with straight legs? That's amazing progress you've made! Wow! I'm sorry your bike ride was not the blissful, relaxing experience you were hoping for. Maybe today will be a better day for you.

LaurieX - congratulations to DD for her 1st place finish! You're raising quite an athletic family. You must be proud.

JeanetteX - Over the years I've noticed that physical appearance and athletic conditioning are two completely seperate things. It's interesting to me that there are people who compete in "Physique" competitions, and they're training is very different than someone who is competing in an active sport. I feel that I'm in above-average conditioning, but my physical appearance doesn't reflect that, and that is my goal. I want to *look* like someone who works out! Vanity rears its ugly head, as usual :) Yes, the bicep work in SS is pretty tough. Makes for a great workout! I like your back-and-forth approach to weight training. I think it makes good sense as a long-term plan. I'm sorry your father is dealing with bladder cancer as well as his COPD!! It amazes me how the human body can keep on trucking, despite so many challenges that are thrown at it.

Teddygirl - if JeanetteX has to ask why you can't workout the morning your exBF sleeps over, then she's been married too long LOL!! ;)

DebraX - Moved 10 times in 14 years? :eek: How do you do that? It sounds absolutely dreadful! We're also planning on painting the master bedroom sage green. I'm glad DD is feeling better; I'm sorry you aren't. Did you pick up her bug, perhaps? A four year old with a kidney stone?? What's that about? I thought they were a problem for aging individuals who have had years for stones to grow and accumulate. How does a four year old get them? Poor thing. Was she in a lot of pain? 10mm is HUGE! Did she have to pass that through her urethra, or were the doctors able to extract it in a less painful manner?

Amy - I'm so envious of your landscaping! We're stillllllll waiting for the builders to lay our front-sod. It's been a year. Get those guys over here, pleeeease! That's very funny about your FIL watching you workout. Maybe one morning you'll catch him giving it a go? I'm looking forward to seeing your pictures.

Wendy - I lol about your frustration with Shiva's terminology. I hope you click with it soon. The yoga really is so melodious and enjoyable. OMG, Phil's father has brain cancer? What is his likely prognosis? Is it manageable? I'm very sorry. What a dreadful thing to hear a doctor tell you. Don't worry; if you hang around for the whole rotation, we'll help you get on the right track afterwards. I'm soooo glad you didn't go through that elimination diet with Waverly, only to learn after a few weeks that food is not the problem! My fingers are crossed that the antibiotics are the ticket. My father is one of 17 children. It's a crazy-large family. Now take my hand and let me escort you quickly past my post to Nicole, and on to the bottom of this email. Don't look!

Lily - I can identify with the squishy middle dilemma. BTW, we almost named our second DD Lily (I love the name), but then it would appear that we'd named her after DH's racist old coot of a grandmother (Lillian), and I didn't want that.

Nicole - Come closer. Lean in. Speak softly, and don't tell Wendy: another great substitute for PlyoX is a one-hour DrillMax cardio-only premix. But you didn't hear it from me! As a first time Xer you should be following the plan as written! Naughty you for subbing with IMAX2 yesterday! It's too bad you weren't able to stick with veganism. I've gone back and forth with the animal-protein for years. Convenience is the primary reason I end up eating it again. I'd go ballistic, and not in a huggy way, if my DH spent $1800 on anything without talking to me about it first!!!! Especially if he took *our* vacation money to do it!! As a Canadian, the concept of spending money, especially lots of it, on a gun is bizarre. I'm sorry, but now I'm picturing your husband as Ted Nugent.

Cheryl - I feel your frustration from yesterday. I hope CB & ARX go well for you today. I always find the Week One reviews so interesting. Give us the low-down, if you can still type later.

My Dad:
Thank you everyone for your prayers and good wishes for my father. He goes for his CT scan this morning, so hopefully by the end of the day we'll know the full extent of the cancer. The doctor is currently optimistic that it's a Grade One tumor, which is means it was caught early enough to do something about it.

Lice Check:
Yes, we do appear to be a family of grooming monkeys!!! LOL!!

Vasectomies:
This talk about the Big V is very interesting to me because DH will be getting one as soon as we get around to it. When we were having his 40th b-day dinner with 2 of his childhood friends (also turning 40 this year) and their wives, the topic of the night was vasectomies. Made me LMAO, because I thought it was so indicative of how old we're all getting. What will we be talking about when we're 50? Colonoscopies and mammograms? Telling DH he can recuperate on the couch for a few days during the Tour de France is a great idea! I'm pretty sure he'll go to extremes to get to do nothing but stare at the tv during July.

Xflosion:
I'll start snooping around for reviews of these workouts. If any of you end up buying them, be sure to let me know, please.

Yesterday's workout:
The rotation called for cardio yesterday (Step Blast, specifically). I subbed IMAX3 instead. I had a ball. I don't know why, but I love that workout. Blast 7 works the core really well, as do the airjacks and tuck jumps in Blast 8.

Today's workout:
It's lower body today. Supposed to be Legs & Glutes, plus PS abs, but I'm going to do Butts & Guts, as-produced.

Time to go get the kids ready for the day. Have a great day!

RE: ::::: Xers :::::

Good morning Xers,

Today was the step portion of Christi Taylor's Cardio Collectibles. Warmup to stretch was 45 minutes. I remembered most of it, had to rewind several times to go over some of the steps. It's a really fun routine. I have to listen hard to Christi, but she is an excellent cuer, fun, perky and I like the music. Not as intense as Cathe, but I wasn't looking for intensity anyway. It also has a hi-lo section that I remember being not too tough to pick up. Maybe do that one later this week.

Will be going grocery shopping with my Mom right after work today. Need to help her pick out the ribs and chicken for the big bash on Friday. I have a couple of dishes that I'm bringing too so need to shop for those items.

Traci, how are the cautionary workouts going for you this week? I'll be anxious to hear how taking it a bit easier helps with your workout next week. I'm taking it easier too (except for yesterday's bike ride), keeping the intensity low, hoping it pays off and I feel strong, strong on Sunday. Men think they have it so tough. My DH should have a colonoscopy as he's now 54 (almost 55), but he hasn't come to grips with that. Oh, the humility of it all! I'd like to see them up in the stirrups and scootching closer to the edge of the table. None of it is pleasant, but we just go anyway. LOL about you telling him about your surgeries and recovery. I'm sure they weren't nearly as painful (in his mind) as his vasectomy. Why, you have no idea!

Tracy, I've had some memorable bike rides for sure. Got blown clean off the road to the right hand side once on an uphill. Not fun to ride in conditions like that, and I usually don't. The heat will really sap me when it first gets hot, takes a while to acclimate to the suffering on the hills in the heat. I warm up in my middle chain ring for probably a few minutes is all then keep the cadence up in my big chainring. Just depends on how my legs feel.

BBL,

Jeanette

RE: ::::: Xers :::::

Good morning to all! Still not feeling my best today...and it took me FOREVER to get to sleep last night...and I had nightmares...Yuck! I don't know if I am going to workout today or not...may just do some upper body weight work and let it go at that.

Jeanette...My cardio lasts from 30 minutes to almost an hour depending on what I am doing and how much time I have that day. The SH routines are about 25-30 minutes each, so it definitely stretches out my workout time a bit. WooHoo on your time! That is wonderful. I am sure you will do great this weekend.

Sandra...DD has calcium in her urine which she still takes medication for. At about 3 years old she started having blood in her urine and e went to lots of docs to figure out what was wrong...and did lots of tests...none of which are fun for a 3-4 year old. Once they finally found the stone, she had to have a lithotripsy done...and instead of the laser at half power...which they usually do for kids, she had to have it doubled because the stone wouldn't break up...then she had to have a stint put into her ureata (between your kidney and bladder) to keep it open so each time she peed for a week she was in excruciating pain. Her whole back was bruised from the lithotripsy too. Aren't you glad you asked?

Okay...back later with more personals...my diva is done for the morning and I must get her to school.

later gators....

RE: ::::: Xers :::::

Sandra, I'm with you on wanting to look in shape and BE in shape. I'm getting to the point of being satisfied with my body pretty much, don't have to be "ripped", just don't want any jiggle or a double chin. In fact, I haven't weighed myself for well over a week, which is something for me as I've been a slave to the scale since high school days. I just look in the good mirror in my room (light shines on me from behind) and if I like what I see, I'm happy. I have so many DVD's now that I think are really fun and for me, that is a major factor in me being consistent with my workouts. Sending you good vibes for your Dad's dr. visit. Hope the lice pickings are getting scarce. Who is your DH rooting for in the Tour this year? Boy, that's just around the corner isn't it? Is Basso out now? I'm behind on the cycling news. Enjoy Butts & Guts today. What a great workout that one is.

Debra, your poor DD! What a terrible thing to go thru for a child, for anyone really as kidney stones are so very painful. 30 minutes or so of cardio sounds great to me, I have lots of options for that. I'm not a person that has to finish a cardio segment as produced. How are you feeling today? Cold gone?

Jeanette

RE: ::::: Xers :::::

Morning Xers,

Doubles: Ph2/Wk7/Day1/Rnd2
Workout: Sh/Ch/Tri / ARX / 3-1/2 Mile Run

Yesterday I did Kimberly Spreen's Absolute Kickboxing, and this is a great workout. She uses a bodybar for one section of the workout. I don't know if this is what makes it fun for me, or if it is just Kimberly. The workout itself is 93 min., but it has premixes that I am looking forward to trying. The bar was a little different for me at first. The next time I do this one, I think it will be better. Only because I will know what needs to be done. I give this one two thumbs up! :)

You guys are making me remember my DH's vasectomy. He was giggling like a little kid with the drugs they gave him. But the giggling stopped when those drugs wore off, and then he was just your normal complaining hubby. I don't know if any of you have one of those when they get sick. :7 :7 :7

Jeanette, I hear ya on the contacts. I haven't had contacts in my eyes since September of last year. :) Just to lazy to put them in I guess. But I will have to wear them this weekend. Just glad my eyes are feeling much better today. We have a little faire that we are doing this weekend, and my glasses just don't look 16th century. :) ^5 on beating your personal goal. What an amazing speed, way too fast for me.

Tracy, That bike ride doesn't sound like alot of fun. But it sounds like the yoga made up for it. :)

Wendy, I have watched Workout also. They don't seem to have that many shows, or did I miss some of them. I didn't get a chance to watch the show last night, but I'm sure they will do a repeat. My DD's are into Shear Genius also. They had me DVR the episode for tonight. :)

Traci, Let me know what you think of Absolute Kickboxing. I'm a person who loves KB, so I may have a different take on this workout. :) Hope your technology problems are all worked out for today. :)

Debra, Sorry to hear you are not feeling well. I can see that you are really glad to be getting near your parents though. :) My oldest DD has an Ipod, but she will not share. :) And I don't blame her, she spent her own baby sitting money on it.

Amy, Sounds like the landscaping project is moving along. Can't blame you for skipping the workout. You already had one from the sound of it. :) Hope your in-laws had a good visit.

Cheryl, Have fun with your first P90X workout. I think Chest & Back is one of the best. :)

Nicole, You have every right to be upset about your hubby spending that money. Especially since it concerns money that has been saved for another purpose. x( Would be another thing if he had been saving the money for the specific purpose of a new gun.

Sandra, I had to chuckle at what people talk about as they get to certain ages. It is so true. And when we hit our 50-60's we will talk about retirement communities. :)

Have a great day!

Laurie

Day 4/Ph 1/Yoga X tonight

Hi All -

Shoulders and Arms last night. I really liked it; the hour flew by. I thought I would be feeling DOMS today, but I'm not. I think that's due to Cathe! I feel like I will be weight training less w/P90X than I am used to doing Cathe. But...everyone says the upper body results are awesome, so I'm sticking to it. Didn't anyone else feel this way?

I'm getting lots of info on this site and I really appreciate it. Still working on the diet - Rome wasn't built in a day!!!

RE: ::::: Xers :::::

I'm awake! Gotta run out the door to art lessons. Had to reschedule since a friend is coming over tomorrow for the day. BBL for personals.

RE: ::::: Xers :::::

Good Morning,

How is everyone today, as for me, feeling good. It is so gloomy today. No workout last night I took my sister home.

This morning, NO workout, but tonight I plan to do GS Legs or go for 1.5 hour walk, providing it doesn’t rain I shall see.

Me and my X had a wonderful evening. L’ll check back later

Teddygirl~

RE: ::::: Xers :::::

Hi ladies...I'm back from school...and breakfast...Now I have to take the doggie to the groomer because she is a stinker! Still not feeling well...chest tight, throat hurts, lots of juices running down the back of my throat...and just generally fatigued.

Teddygirl...You keep talking about your X...does this mean you're getting back together or is it one of those things where you really are just good friends after? Good luck on getting your walk in tonight. Hope the weather holds for you.

Traci...So why do you think you are feeling so sore? Just ttom? Maybe your muscles are feeling all the strain of your brain working so hard to get done with your exam! LOL I have to take DD back to the Drs office today and I am tempted to wear a surgical mask so that I don't catch anything else. Have fun with B&B today. Are you doing pullups or using a band? I am sure you have said before...but of course I can't remember.

Tracy... So glad you are continuing to make gains with your flexibility...who needs those darn doctors anyway?!?

Laurie....Glad you enjoyed your kickboxing video yesterday...I am always in search of new kickboxing...I don't know why, but I am really picky with that. My DH is always the worst when he is sick. You would think that the whole world has to stop because he has a cold. He wouldn't get a vasectomy...I ended up getting an IUD instead...which is pretty uncomfortable going in, let me add....but we wouldn't want to hurt his manhood at all! LOL!

Sandra...Sounds like you are really enjoying your current rotation. Good for you! Keep those nits away from me! Keep us posted on your dad....thinking about you guys this morning.

Lily...Glad you enjoyed Sh+A...I always like that one too. I think you will find the further you get with Tony the more you will learn about his style of weight training. The one thing you will notice is that you really have to push your muscles to complete failure...I didn't know what real complete failure was until about the second or third week of the X...It takes a few workouts to master that feeling, I think.

Waving to Wendy as she runs through thread!

Okay...gotta take the stinky dog out to the groomer...then I think I am going to work on DD's play room for a bit. Really not up to exercising right now...so I'll see how I feel later today.

Hi to Katie, Cheryl, Mary, Swifty, Lea (if you're lurking), Amy and Nicole...Who did I miss?!? Hi again to Jeanette, of course. Okay...outta here for now!

Phase 2/ Day 45 / Back & Biceps X + Abs /Rd 2
Cycle Day 3: Cautionary Workouts
~~No Doubles Day~~

Did Back & Biceps & Slim Express 6 minute abs… plenty for me today… I was hardly about to lift dumbbells by end of B&B so I just lightened load & increased reps… My Biceps weren’t hurting just really weak. Express abs was quick and intense… just right for a day like today.

Phone service is now connected with new carrier…. AFPA re-writes are done, printer is fixed…. 5 re-do pics tonight and I should be ready to mail on Thursday or Friday. Whew~
Planets are in much better alignment today!

Ψ Tracy X
Congrats on Shiva improvements! Real progress on the rehab. So how exactly have you leaned out so much- was it intentional or an added bonus of something you were doing with rehab? Hope you enjoy Sweatfest- I really like the Kickboxing on that one. I do think the revisions with the “cycle plan” is working well for me. I wish this week were recovery but only because I had a very painful first 2 days but I’m better today. By tomorrow I’ll be feeling awesome and ready to double up again starting Saturday.

Ψ TeddyGirl
Is there a reunion in the works with X???? You guys seem so very close- I love that! I have always remained on great terms with my ex’s throughout the years. Hope you are OK today!

Ψ Sandra X
You are right- the only good part about yesterdays mania was that I have a little cushion- I do that as I know that when stuff starts to happen it usually really rolls for a week or so before settling again. If its going to happen its always during my ttom so I know its negative energy that I carry around for a few days. Steam/boil Edamame for 5 minutes… You want them to still be a bit crunchy (the bean) unless you like mushy ones. Hope you like them- I added to my grocery list when you said that. Congrats on Shiva purchases! We can get in the flow together. My thoughts & prayers are with you guys today.

Ψ Laurie X
The more you talk about Absolute Kick the more excited I get for Saturday! I love real (more real) KickBox vs. just cardio Kick. Great job to you for really bringing it second round! I don’t feel like I have- not sure if its mental or just some physical issues that have come up.

Ψ Jeanette X
LOL on colonoscopy… My DH says… I see no reason… LOL He is good about annual checkups tho- his Dr is a flake but at least he goes! What a fun weekend you have ahead of you! Hope the shopping/cooking goes without a hitch.

Lilly & Debra be back in a bit! Gotta feed the growling tummy

RE: ::::: Xers :::::

Back from breakfast, then dropping off the in-laws at the airport. I was really sad to see them go, they are such fun! I am still suffering from DOMmy booty, but will get Kenpo-like workout done this afternoon.

I am going to nap a bit before my workout, then I have some stuff to plant outside as well as setting out the sprinklers. Oh, MIL surprised us with a few months of lawn service so I don't have to worry about mowing/edging for a while!!! Yea!!!

BBL!

RE: ::::: Xers :::::

Ψ Debra X
I am so so sorry that you are feeling so awful! I do think I am so terribly sore because of ttom. My body pretty much wants to shut down for 48 hours when I start, day 3 is like the first day after you’ve been sick – you feel great mentally but like a Mac truck ran over you… day 4 I’m a new person. I have a door gym so it’s a cross between using bands and pull up bar. No desire to hang a bar in the master bedroom! Hope stinky gets all pretty for mom! Take it easy today.

Ψ Lily
I agree that SH & A is a great workout- its one of the few that I’m not watching the clock! I do that with all workouts tho- not just Tony. Interesting comment about feeling like you are doing less weight work than your Cathe’s.. What type of rotations of Cathes did you do with so much weight work?

Ψ Amy
Hugs on the down side of guests…. Its like the weeks after Xmas isn’t it… kinda sad the hoopla is over. AWESOME about lawn service for awhile! Yippee! And just in time for heat & humidity!!! Back to work this weekend I guess eh? Have fun with “Kenpo-like” workout- caught ya!

RE: ::::: Xers :::::

Good Afternoon Ladies!

I'm so relaxed right now! I did or should say, tried Shiva Shakti's Basic Flow. The last thingamagig, er.. Shavasana almost put me to sleep! I couldn't believe how fast 45 minutes flew by! I was thinking that's it? Wow, I'm substituting Shiva for Tony for the remainder of the X! ;-) :) I think I'll try watching the instructional part again. This time, taking notes. I'll try translating it into plain English! I forsee a lot of pausing while thinking and writing. ;-)

The wind is kicking!!! Baby has stuffed herself underneath my computer desk. Now where to put my feet? Nice day to cuddle up, all warm and relaxed inside. Thanks Baby and Shiva! ;-)

I believe tonight calls for LB and ARX. Yippee! I can almost see recovery week.

Traci-X: I know what you mean! CST leaves my back feeling worked as well! I wished I would have thought of doing that for my biceps. This week wasn't a good time to start going heavy with lower reps. My biceps are still crying! What's pathetic is that I didn't go any heavier on most of the exercises. I just went lower reps for all of them!!! I'm not sure what time WorkOut comes on. I usually catch it late. If it's a repeat, I keep checking back every hour for the episode I want. The reunion episode had a very uncomfortable feel to it. I don't think Jackie is a good team leader to tell you the truth. And, I don't care what type of business it is, the boss casually dating one of their employees doesn't make for sound judgement. Just my 2 cents. I'm so sorry your having problems with getting your AFPA paperwork straightened out. Thankfully, you gave yourself time to clean up the mess! Me ranting? Nah, Shiva doesn't rub me that bad! I do think she's kinda out there, and I don't necessarily agree with Eastern philosophy. But, I'm trying to understand the breath/movement connection, and I am warming up to her. It's not to say that one day I hope to figure out the moves so I can play the dvd music only! ;-) Enjoy the company. Try not to Kenpo kick them out the door too fast. You'll get your work done! You're an X Grad!!! :) LOL on informing Wendell of the joys of being a woman while he's looking for post vasectomy sympathy. Phil doesn't even think to try looking for sympathy from me! For one, I'm a cold, cold woman! And, well, you know the rest. :7 Yippee! I read your latest post! Glad the world is in order and my cheering vibes made it to you! ;-)

Tracy-X: Your bike ride sounded more like an extreme sport than a nice jaunt in the countryside with a basket of flowers and a flowing skirt. At least you had Shiva to relax you afterwards. *hand up in the air* Me, Me, Pick Me! :) I'd like a better program flow for Shiva than the beginners. Can you suggest one for me? I'd like one that will open up my back when it's tense. I'd also like to skip the breathing openers and closers. But, I take it that's part of the program, huh? Well, the shortest breathing segments would be nice. ;-) How is Eion Finn compared to Shiva? Will I be able to understand him? Isn't he a sufer? Sufer talk should be easier for me to interpret.

Jeanette-X: I slipped in another post before I went to bed last night. Hope you got caught it. Thanks for reminding me that I have to buy cheesecake ingredients for MIL's birthday cake. I still nominate you and your family to cater the 1st Xer's get together! The BBQ sounds so fun and YUMMY! :9 Enjoy the low intensity workouts. You're a smart woman to save your strength for this weekend.

Laurie-X: What weight bodybar do you have? I've seen them at Modells and they look like fun! LOL on your dh being drug induced post-V! Phil's favorite playtoy was a bag of frozen peas. Yes, we threw the bag away instead of thawing them for dinner! Yuck! :p My son and I watch Shear Genius too! I secretly love Tabitha! You just gotta love someone so transparent! She's so open with her evilness! You have to check out the Project Gay's blog on the show! They cut those hairdressers apart and call the models, wigstands! LOL I don't know if I'd recommend their blog to your dds though. Those Philly Gays need their mouths washed out with soap! ;-) In you voluminous free time, check them out:

Sandra-X: Your personal to me is funny. I almost jumped out of my seat reading it about Shiva to OMG! You go from one extreme to the next! I'm thinking a lice jumped on you!!! Unfortunately, Phil's father's brain cancer is the worst type of brain cancer. He was officially diagnosed right before we started the X. Odds are that he won't be with us for more than a year. It's still kind of a shock to us. Like we know what's going to happen, but we're in logical thinking mode. For instance, Tayler is learning how to play Amazing Grace on her harp. By the grace of God, we'll be fine. Phil's dad isn't afraid of dying, he's mainly concerned with Phil's mom. She married him when she was 16. They are best friends. It chokes us up to think of her alone without him by her side. What smack are you talking?!?! I'm NOT going anywhere! I plan on finishing the X and sticking around for Round 2!!! You're not getting rid of my epic posts anytime soon!!! I'll be keeping your father in my prayers. Waiting for an official dx can be more difficult than knowing for sure what it is. Man, with that many relatives, snooping out which one passed on the lice will require mighty fine detective work? Got any solid leads on who was the generous clan member? Waves seems to be taking to the bubble gum flavored antibiotics. She's not complaining of a hurt head anymore. Thankfully, I didn't go through with that diet! Too LATE! I'm not holding your hand anymore. You forgot to put blinders on my eyes!!! I saw your DM comment! Fine, be that way. I feel like the red headed step child now! Why is she allowed to sub and not me? Well, that does it! I'm subbing Shiva from here on out! :p LOL about Ted Nugent!!! Poor Nicole! I'm sure her dh has other redeeming qualities she'll soon share. It's not like he let the dog out and forgot about it till 3 AM!!! ;-) I'm not going to even mention my next thought having to do with guns and Old Yeller. With that, I'll talk to you later! ;-)

Debra-X: Are you feeling any better? Did you take a nice nap while dd was romping around with toxic children at school? No nightmares about children with noses full of green slime coming at you for a hug, I hope! Poor little thing! Her kidney stone experience sounds was traumatic! I hope that's the worst physically painful experience she'll ever have to go through and the last emotionally painful experience for you! Oh, I see you had a busy morning with post nasal drip and chores. I think cleaning up a girl's room counts for steady state cardio!!! With my girls' room, it would count for HIIT! ;-)

Teddygirl: Is x now back? Or have you not fully cut off that part of your past? Was it the clear heels that brought him back for more teddygirl? LOL }(

Well, this took me wayyyyy long to write! My fingers are so relaxed.

Good Luck Day 1 Xers! Hello to everyone in our Bring It On group!

Off to see if I can sweet talk a bicep ballistic hug from Phil. ;-)

Ballistic Hugs to All... only so your energy can ricochet back into me! I'm selfish that way! ;-)

Classic: Phase 2/ Week 5/ Day 3/ Round 1

Back & Biceps + ARX

I enjoyed BB and felt a bit pumped. I need to get a tougher SPRI band. ARX seems a little bit easier after all the core work last week. I can actually finish it all even if a bit behind. I have been going since 4:45 a.m. I took the boys to school at 7:30 then went workout clothes shopping per Wendy's request. Didn't find much, but I tried:) Then it was off to the orthodontist for my DS then to the eye doctor for both DS's. Now I'm home for 1/2 hr. before I go to mt mom's for dinner. Needless to say I'll be back for personals tomorrow. My husband actually does think Ted Nugent is entertaining but the guns he gets are for protection. He hunts with a bow, says it's more sportsman like. We eat all of the meat so I'm glad to not be buying beef all year. Of course, the cost of hunting is probably more than the purchased beef:)

Talk to you all tomorrow,

Nicole

RE: ::::: Xers :::::

Hi, everyone! Made it (sort of) through 1/2 of Chest/back/ARX and realized I had to switch to Cathe SLow and Heavy Chest/Back/Abs. Couldn't live without the flies, pullovers and planks. But I did get a good 75 min. workout and yes, I am already sore. Yahoo!

My hat goes off to ALL OF YOU X'ers TODAY. I am bowing.

Have a great night, everyone!
