Hi everyone! How was everyone's weekend? Mine was nice and relaxing, just what I needed! I even managed to get a lot of good workouts in. Sat-Imax2, Sun-Kick Max(including the leg cond drills), and Monday-4.75 mile run. I'm finally sleeping again, but still no period yet although I feel it isn't far off (low back ache). I feel like a teenager again never knowing when it will actually show up and having all the PMS stuff too. YUCK!

Orientation at college was good on Friday.....I learned a couple things even though this is my second. One thing they passed onto parents are things kids wish parents would do.....one of them was "learn to text" LOL There are just 3 yrs between my boys and yet I notice the text shift in the younger ones generation.

that's about all that's knew here.....still in the 90s and even 100s, ugh! TOO HOT!
 
Hi there! How is everyone? Today I did the bike and S&H chest and back, bike yesterday too, took off Sat. Have been running with the kids today, that is why so late, Only 80's here, but still humid, supposed to go back up by Wed, hate to turn the air off for one day, only to have to cool the whole house down again!? I just love the windows open tho. Wow Lisa, that was a long run! DS started cross country this am, it was so humid, he had trouble with his asthma, hos body needs to get used to it again! I can text, but pretty slow! Also I don't know all the abbrebviations! Hi to everyone else! have a good night. Mary

Lisa - sounds like a nice relaxing weekend. Talking of text, I was reading something the other day that reckoned email would be dead in 10 years. Young people don't use it, they message each other through Facebook or text. Sometimes I feel like a dinosaur!

Mary - you've been working hard. How's the hip doing? No problems?

Had a nice weekend, fitted in PS CST on Sunday. Went for Thai food on Sat night. Absolutely delicious, had a few drinks as well so felt a bit tired on Sunday :p!
Yesterday was SS and today MMA Fusion, I'm getting better at the second combo (still not a pretty sight, though ;)).

Hi everyone! Weeeelllllll....yesterday went downhill very fast.....work was a pain in the you know what.....all of a sudden everything is an emergency ----uh, NOT----and everyone needed everything----uh, again, NOT, and this one person just kept confusing the whole issue --- just tell me what the @#$# you want!?!?!?!? Anyway, my BP was up, I couldn't even take a break (much less a lunch) and by the afternoon I had had it and was ready to walk out. Oh, add in a headache brewing on top of it all. Thankfully my team lead helped me do the emergency code (she's much better at DB2 than me and I was just sooooo mad and fuming I couldn't even form a coherant thought). Last night the cramps came, and now today my visitor, at least this month's ickiness is almost done now......I don't think the heat is helping (thankfully cooler today --- 85), but I do feel a headache starting up....I get those from fronts moving through.

Ah, vent and rant over, onto exercise. I did PUB today, I think it helped to lift some heavy weights given my mood and believe it or not I barely felt the pain from the Bicep section. I felt like superwoman (fueled by my foul mood).

I bought Muscle endurance download last night since it was on special. I also figured out how I can take sections of some of my downloads (like the waaaaay too long gauntlet and viper) and make my own mish mosh and burn that onto a DVD. I can't wait to play with that more.

Mary, I'm thinking of getting on the bike tomorrow with some cardio coach. I'm just not a bike lover. Oh, I text, but slow and with no precision! People are amazed and what mess of words I manage to text them. It's all because of the preditive text and I think I'm typing one thing but it changes it to something else and I don't catch it (probably because I can't read the screen without glasses). Oh, I do hate the part of getting old where they eyes go and the hormones are haywire!

Ronne, You crack me up about the second combo of MMA Fusion! Oh, if you could only see me! And then one time I just sat there on the floor while CAthe and crew kept on with such a sad look on my face that DH walked by and said "hang in there honey". If only he knew how hard that one is!

So, back to work, I'm hoping for a better day. I came in LATE and my office mate asked "tough morning?"...I said, "no, I just am in no hurry"...he said let me know how long that lasts. I am determined NOT TO LET THEM GET TO ME TODAY!
 
Hi all, I tried Ropesport the other day. I did not like it at all. I don't know if it was the people or their style of jumping rope, swinging the rope a lot, or what. Maybe Michael Olajidae has spoiled me for all other jumprope dvd's. I tried another Firm dvd but just could not get into it. I need to give it another go to be fair.

Ronne/Lisa - I agree about MMA's combo's. There has been many a time when I just sat there or did a crazy looking modification or was just happy no one was watching. I don't know where Cathe came up with some of that stuff.

OK folks, I just have to say: I WAS RIGHT, I WAS RIGHT, I WAS RIGHT!!!! This guy kept bugging me yesterday and I couldn't convince him that my way was the right way at work, and I had time to run some tests, and I WAS RIGHT, I WAS RIGHT, I WAS RIGHT! nany, nany, boo, boo !!!:p
 
Lisa, congrats on being right! I love when that happens! Murphy, Micheal Olajide, is very cute! His voice puts me in a trance! Ronne, I'm glad you had fun! I think I would have to have a lot of cocktails to try Thai food! I am a finicky eater! Did the bike this am, need to get my weights in, maybe before dinner. We were bad for lunch, 5 Guys Burger and Fries, I did only eat 1/2 of my burger! Still humid here, tomorrow going hiking with friends, will that count as a w/o? Have a good night, Mary

Lisa - it's nice to be right but really annoying what you have to go through to prove it! So, the way to get through a Cathe workout is to be really angry?! :p I'll remember that handy tip! Can't wait to see what you make of the biceps on ME!

Murphy - do you have really high ceilings? Does your rope not hit anything when you're working out? I'd destroy half the room if I tried skipping in front of the TV!

Mary - Cocktails and Thai food are a great combination! Yes, hiking is definitely a workout. Everything counts!

Well, the day has finally arrived and DD has finished school for the summer. So glad! She's gone off to a birthday party, to see Toy Story 3 so I've still got some time! Did PP for the second time. I found it a bit tougher than the first time. I always hit a trough in the third week of a rotation, don't know why!
Might be a bit erratic posting from now on with the holidays. See you tomorrow.
 
Oh man, I don't know what happened but I must have hit a wrong button and my post went somewhere into thin air? Ah, I'll start again. Today I ran 4.25 miles, after the first mile I didn't think that I wanted to finish, but then the music from challenge 2 of cardio coach 8 kicked in and my legs just moved.

Ronne, How long is DD school break? Man, oh, man, my chest, triceps and biceps are SORE from PUB yesterday......I told you I hit it hard! Yes being really pissed off helps :p. Now you have me curious about ME, I have that on tap for Sat or Sun. Maybe if PP or SS is ever on sale for the download I'm thinking of getting those, how do you like them?

Mary, I don't turn off the A/C for just a day.....especially if the outside air is humid then it just seems like it takes longer to cool off later. It doesn't get all TOO humid here, but if I run the evaporative cooler instead of A/C then it isn't worth adding all that cool, albeit moist air. Hope that makes sense. How was the hike? I'd say it counts as a workout! It wasn't a flat hike was it?

Murphy, I can only jump rope with an imaginary rope :confused:
 
I only use an imaginary rope. I don't dare use a real jumprope - I don't need any extra noise to wake-up my "assistants!"

It has been so hot that I have not been doing my afternoon walks. Today is hot too, but not as bad as some other days. I tried going for a walk and OMG... I wanted to go right back in as soon as the building doors locked behind me. If I did not have bills to mail I probably would have given serious consideration to going back inside. Well, I completed the walk but am rather tired. Plus, that blast of cold air upon entering the building gave me a headache - it seemed to freeze the sweat on my forehead.
 
Hi girls! Did the bike this am, then we went hiking for a while, forgot to wear a watch! The kids don't let me take the easy route! Am getting ready for cross country picnic next. The fun never stops! Murphy, don't blame you for wanting to turn back around! I am very tired of the humidity and always being sticky! Ronne, enjoy the summer break with your daughter! Did she like Toy Story 3? I cried! Lisa, that was a good run! Well, better get moving, have to get my "healthy" side dish and dessert ready! Mary

Murphy - why didn't I think of that? Of course, an imaginary jump rope! What an idiot! Sounds like it is super hot where you are. I don't blame you for not going out for a walk in that kind of heat.

Lisa - DD's off till the first week of September, 6 weeks. Yeah, I only bought PP/SS because it was reduced. They're good. A bit shorter, PP is only 44 mins. Good for days when you want to do full body but don't have much time. PP is easier than SS. Sometimes I don't want to do MM or ME because they're so long so these two are good alternatives. PP did make me laugh the first time I did it. At one point, Cathe says 'I hope you're all getting your balls out now.' I think even she realised what she'd just said!

Mary - Yes, she did like the film. I want to go and see it!

DD's at a friend's house at the moment so I'm getting a bit of work done and I've got my workouts in. Did Hiit Pyramid and Stab Abs from Abs Circuits. Pyramid is my favourite Hiit workout. I really give it my all in that one.

Good morning! Did PLB this am, had to break it up, had to pick DS up from cross country. We are going to the pool today, I saw on the weather, we will get a break starting Sun. I hope I can turn this air off! Ronne, that is my favorite HIIT also, don't need any equipment, just go and get it done! Good job. Murphy, any bites on the house? Lisa, how is work? Hi everyone. Mary must have read my mind because I did PLB this morning too. I thought I was looking forward to floorwork....that is until I got to it. Will see if I get some DOMS, I still have DOMS from PUB 2 days ago!

Murphy, I think I would have turned around and went right back in the office. I take 20 min walks around all the buildings here (they are all connected --- like at least 12 buildings or so) and I come back with water running down my neck, in my little cleavage, etc. I have to go wipe down in the bathroom, and that is walking INSIDE A/C buildings!

Ronne, enjoy your time with DD, my kids start back Aug 20. I can't believe it's less than a month away. Cathe said something this morning in PLB like....Can you feel that, I thought so.... <insert evil laugh>

Mary, of course I'm counting down to the cruise....I have an app on the computer that tells me how many more days.... lol Work is busy, and speaking of which I better get back to it. Now that I'm into the groove again I'm coming up with all kinds of improvements....that's good and bad.....bad because there are some days I just want to be a grunt! It's nice being the NEW person because you don't have as much responsibility :) Guess I can't claim to be NEW anymore since 1/2 of the team is newer than me now :)

I must pull out PLB sometime. Haven't done it for ages. Today was Circuit Blast. That is such a killer! I was a puddle by the end of it! Also been getting the house shipshape as we've got a friend coming for dinner tomorrow night and she's not seen our house yet so I want it looking its best! DH is painting DD's room this weekend. We're gradually clearing it out ready to start tomorrow!

Lisa - how funny about that app! I don't want to wish the summer away though. It's good you're getting into your work again. I think it's always more enjoyable if you're actually engaged with it.

Mary - how was the pool? Did you have a nice time? Did you preorder the KCMs or did you decide not to bother?

Well, DD's out at the playground with the friend so I'm going to make myself a coffee and sit down with the paper!! Have a good weekend everyone.
 
Hi everyone, I have to try to make this quick. I have a headache, went to sleep with it, woke up with it, still have it. I did do Rhythmic Step --- in a low energy version :) I did still work up a sweat though.

DS21 broke his hand yesterday (fell on tile floor) so we are off to a hand specialist later today, OY!

I don't feel like working....can't wait for time to go and the weekend!
