Default STS Body Rockers week of February 5th

Good Morning Body Rockers!

I have been suffering since doing Intensity! on Friday morning- my calves are killing me! I don't know if it is due to being relatively new to high impact, if my sneakers are old, or a combination of the 2- I'm walking like an old lady! Maybe some yoga would be appropriate for later today.

Terena- all step is from the cross train series isn't it? I think I got it free as a VHS with my step many moons ago.

Wendy- have you started the STS/LIS rotation yet?

Wiggie- I had a nap yesterday too- I like mine to last about an hour though.

Katie- and I thought you were talking about Erin, our triathelite when you were discussing the Ironman- how silly of me!

Will attempt to get out of bed and walk now!

Bridget

Hi Bridget!
Hi girls I am on lunch at work and have a few mins=} did a BR wo yesterday .. Was a good 12 mins! Then jumped in pool and did some laps. Swimming is not my strong suit. It is soo hard when I try to do the right swim techniques. We have our kick off meeting on 2/16 for my triathlon. We meet our coaches at that time so I am excited. I like having a plan and am desperate to see what they set up for us! For now I am doing Monday spin, tues full body, run/swim, full body, swim, full body..mixing with cathe n Body rocking. Ok back to work I go .

Happy Super Bowl Sunday!!

Anyone watching the game tonight? I'm a Colts fan (clearly we didn't make it this year, lol) but i'm still going to watch because I love football so much (and the commercials). I'm cheering for the Giants because: (i) as a Colts fan, we naturally dislike the Patriots, and (ii) at least A Manning will be playing in Indianapolis!

As for my workouts, yesterday I did Athletic Training and today I did Low Impact Challenge + the stability ball abs segment from B&G. Loved both workouts!

Bridget: Intensity has BITE! I hope the DOMS ease up a bit for ya. Now that I think about it, what I meant to say was an IronGYM, not an IronMAN. HAHAHA!

Erin: Nice job jumping into the pool! Can't wait to hear what your trainer has in store for you. Please share!

Hi Girls.

Sorry I've been MIA. Busy weekend. Pretty much non-stop the whole time! Thankfully mostly fun stuff too!

Y'day I did STS D16 as per the first day of the STS/LIS rotation and today D18 because I am moving all of the STS work outs to the weekends since they take longer then most of the LIS work outs. Tmrw I will do Trisets L/B which is what I think was actually on tap for today.

I have chili in the crockpot and plan to make spinach dip and nachos for the game. Going to have tons of left overs I am sure since it's only the three of us eating. Oh well. It'll be good!

No time for personals but just wanted to pop in to let ya know I'm alive and well!

BBITAM!

Cool

Hello All!!

Friday's workout was Cardio Strenght by Michelle Dozois. I've always used it as cardio & used 5 pound weights, always found it to be very difficult. Well this time it was much easier, not easy, but much easier. Next time I'll go heavier. Saturday was STS Total Body, Single Sets premix. I went much heavier since I was doing one set.

We went out of town Sunday for a Super Bowl party & we are spending the night. It's still going on right now, I had access to a PC so here I am.

Have a great night All!! Our team is winning right now, but it's close!!

Morning gals!

Today's workout was Disc 6, Back and Triceps. I'm still skipping around a bit to make my rotation work. Felt great this morning!

Wendy: Glad you're feeling a wee bit better! and WOOHOO on starting the LIS/STS rotation! How did those longer STS workouts feel??

Wiggie: Yay for improvements! I love when a workout that was so hard before suddenly seems doable (still hard like you said, but you can survive). Hope you had a great time at the Super Bowl party!

Spinning this morning- thank goodness for spinning to melt off the DOMS in my calves, they still ache me so!

New England is in mourning today- I live in CT which is close to NY, so there are some happy souls here at work- not in my house though...

Didn't do yoga yesterday, spent the day instead painting my daughter's room an electric lime green, and celebrating her birthday a few days early- it's too hard to do during the week.

Tomorrow morning will be doing TRX at the Y.

Katie- glad your team won- though it was tight! I should pull out some of the shorter segments from B&G- there are so many ways to do that DVD

Wiggie- its cool when every workout gets a bit easier, especially those that once beat you up.

Wendy- I made a nacho dip last night and buffalo chicken fingers for the game- the dip was 1 point per 1/4 cup, and I easily ate 1 full cup it was so good! I didn't make the fingers hot enough though...

Erin- keep us posted with your training schedule, I'm curious to see how that works!

have a great Monday everyone!

Bridget

Good Morning!

Lower Body Trisets DONE this morning + my own ab work on the dip station!

Katie:: I enjoyed the STS work outs! In an effort to save time on Saturday though, I did not use the tower so I used dumbbells for all of the barbell chest work and any other exercises it worked for. I also used DB's on Sunday for back/bi's just because it was easier/quicker then loading/unloading a barbell. I used a bb for some stuff but not much. I did, however, set up the tower to do the pull ups on Sunday. Got a great work out! Definitely got DOMS from it too! Oh and I am thrilled to be able to tell you that my biceps have gotten stronger since the last time I did STS!!! Woot Woot! Good job with your work outs! Keep it up! I need you to inspire me to keep going with this rotation!!!

Wiggie:: ITA with Katie. Such an awesome feeling when a work out isn't as hard as it used to be! Sounds like you probably had a blast at the SB party last night! Good for you!

Bridget:: Your SB food sounds yummy too! Happy B'day to your DD! Sorry your team lost. My DH wanted the Giants to win so he was happy. I didn't care much either way though being from NJ, if I have to choose I will always root for the local team. I am not a sports fan though so it doesn't mean much coming from me. LOL

Starting to see cobwebs forming again!

Today was CSS for me as per the rotation! Not easy to do with an azz and hamstrings that are as crazy sore as mine are today! OMG!

BBL to see if anyone stops by...

Hi ladies!

Today's workout was HiiT 30/30 + AC: Pilates Based abs. I'm not feeling 100% so the workout was rooouuuggghhh but I did it.

Wendy: I'm here, i'm here! YAY on increased bicep strength! That's fantastic, and such a great feeling. I don't have a barbell so I only use DBs and, for the most part, they work great!

Bridget: Nice job spinning! How was TRX this morning? Yeah, I must admit i'm happy that the Giants won.
