Hi ladies!

Getting us started for the week. No work (or workout) on Friday. I rested all day and it helped tremendously with this cold situation. I still didn't feel 100% yesterday, but I forced myself to do Athletic Step (no cool down) + TBT:LB Express. Today's workout was Disc 8 (back/triceps) + AC: weights and plates abs. I'm feeling my back muscles, woohoo!

Wendy: I'm a fan of blowing off yoga for more sleep. LOL! :p

Terina: Nice job with HiiT 40/20. So dang tough!

Wiggie: AB AND AT? Yowza!! Hope you had a great weekend with your granddaughter!

Bridget: Love the new avatar!! Did DD enjoy her birthday party?

Hello again! :)

This morning's workout was Afterburn + 5/8 of STS Extended Stretch. :D I originally planned to do abs, but decided at the last minute my body needed a stretch. Felt great! :)

BBL!

Good morning All!!

Sunday’s workout was HIIT 25 that morning & my daughter & I did pushups & squats that afternoon. Today I’m starting the STS/LIC rotation by Cathe.

Wendy, glad you a great weekend!! Mine was pretty good also!!

Bridget, cute avatar!! How did your DD handle the pizza?

Katie, glad you’re feeling better!! Great workouts, listening to your body is always a good thing!!

Have a great day All!!:D

Oy! I totally forgot there should/would be a new thread for the week and posted on the old one this morning! Thanks for confusing me Katie! :p

Well, at the risk of repeating myself (depending upon who read my post in the old thread)...

Y'day was TurboBarre Lower Body Premix and Ab Ripper X (oh boy do I have DOMS from ARX today!) & today was Athletic Training.:D

Katie:: 5/8's of extended stretch? Seriously!? LMAO! :D:p Nice work outs! I am feeling all of my back muscles too! Chest and Back using the tower for pull ups fried me! My lats are ON FIYAH for the 2nd day today!

Wiggie:: Oh yay! Another person joining in on the STS/LIS rotation! Do you plan to do it as is or will you be needing to modify it at all? It's kickin' my butt so far! You will love it! ;)

Good morning All!!

Monday's workout was Disc 16. I intended to ride my bike but it didn't happen.

Wendy, I will probably have to modify it here & there. For example, today is TBTLO, but I plan to do Turbo Barre. I'm trying to fit that one in at least twice a week.

Have a great day Everyone!!:D

Happy Valentine's Day!

Today's workout was HiiT: Pyramid + AC: No Equip. Abs. Even though Afterburn doesn't have a separate abs section it hit my abs hard yesterday and I could barely survive NEA this morning. Is it Friday yet? :p

Wiggie: YAY, so glad you're starting the STS/LIS rotation too!! Woot, Woot!!

Wendy: Oops sorry for the confusion. I don't usually start new threads, and now I remember why! LOL! :p Nice job with TB and Athletic Training. Is your lower body on fiyah to match your upper body? ;)

Good Morning.

Today was Low Impact Challenge. I did the challenge first thinking I was going to do it more then once since I don't know all of the step routines. Well, IDK what got into me but I ended up atleast ATTEMPTING all of them! I didn't do the part where you string them all together. I would have killed myself!:p But I DID attempt them all..even combo 4!!!:confused::eek::confused: I forgot that I am pretty capable of combo 3. One move trips me up but I can fake my way through it easy enough. Combo 4 OTOH..OH.MY.GAWD.!!! LOL I musta' been a sight tryin' to do that!:D So anyway my work out was about 40ish+ minutes having done ALMOST all of it. ;)

Wiggie:: Good job with D16! Modify away! Me and Katie are too! :)

Katie:: LOL re starting new threads. It's okay. You can start one again. I am easy to confuse so not your fault! ;):p:D HiiT pyramid is tough! Great job! IDK which is harder-pryamid or 40/20. They both kick my butt! This whole series is all about the core so I'm not surprised you were feeling it while doing NEA! Only a few actual ab work outs yet she constantly hits your core SOME HOW! Brilliant! :) My lower body isn't as bad but it IS sore. My calves were all fired up last night but they seem to have eased a bit over night. Tmrw I will finally hit the 2nd X work out. I've been putting off out of fear after all of the DOMS I got from C&B! LOL Enough stalling though...time to BRING IT! ;)

Forgive me for starting a new thread when one was already there!

My post from Monday:

I did spin this morning- she extended the class to 60 minutes (usually 45) to increase the suffer-fest for those of us loyal enough to stay. I love morning exercise, it feels so good driving to work knowing that is done.

This weekend, no workouts happened, other than an intense party of 15 10year olds at the Y pool, followed by them attempting to destroy in indestructable workout room after filling up with pizza & cake- there were stability balls everywhere, punching bags being hit, mats & steps everywhere...they all slept well on Saturday night, I did too. DD had one of her friends stay until Sunday afternoon- Sunday had a bridal shower in the afternoon, and spent the evening seeing Shreck, the musical- which was awesome! See it if it comes to your town!

What a whirlwind of a weekend- glad to be back to the normal intensity of work.

Wendy- Athletic Training is a killer! Last time I did it my inner thighs tingled for several days!!

Have a great Monday everyone!

Bridget

Ok, my Tuesday post...

TRX this morning, impressive amount of progress being made in the ab region! I have to option to take the course again in March- and I like it, but was thinking of starting an STS rotation- which I can do later. I like the progress I am making with TRX for now.

I changed the Avatar, couldn't figure out how to put a pic of myself in the RT group- will need to add wonderwoman back again, because I am she...

Wendy- Low Impact Challenge is fun! Last time I did it I broke up the step routines and added them to 4DS lower intensity's step section- to nullify the frustration factor from some of the moves.

Katie- those are some tough workouts you have done, very impressive!

Wiggie- modify away my friend!

So, how many threads did we end up putting up for the week? I apologise again.

Bridget

Good morning Everyone!!:)

Well Tuesday I did Athletic Training Leg Cardio premix & Turbo Barre Leg Express skipping the moves that were done in AT. My add on was 20 minutes on my bike.

Bridget, I'm going to have to check out this TRX, is there anywhere I could watch it online?

Wendy, I'll be waiting on your review of X-TrainFit!! A credit card in your hands is a dangerous thing!!:p

Katie, you've really been hitting it hard lately!!

Have a great day All!!:D

I was just in the workout manager & it kept going to December 1969!!:D

Spinning this morning- kicked my HR monitor into the upper levels! I've come to a cross roads for my next rotation- looking for some advice.

Do I sign up for another 8 weeks of TRX? I like it- my core is super strong since doing, but I feel kind of maxed out on it. I want to do another STS rotation- cannot do that and TRX too.

I also am considering signing up for swimming for dummies lessons. At my daughter's party in the pool, the kids had to be tested to see if they could swim in the deep end. My daughter and most of her fishy friends passed it, I really wondered if I could do it. I won't sink if you threw me in, but my strokes are ineffecient- or non-existant. Perhaps in the back of my head there is a mini-tri in my future...

Any thoughts or insights?

Wiggie- here is a link to the TRX training site TRX Suspension Training & TRX Rip Training: Total Body Workouts | TRX I cannot see the videos from work.

Katie- intense tear-it-up workout today?

Wendy- BR with a colorful name on the calender today?

Take care all
Bridget

Morning. :)

P90X shoulders and arms this morning! I brought it! ;) Another great work out courtesy of Tony Horton! :D

Bridget:: Swimming is EXCELLENT exercise!!! I say go for it! Nope, haven't been BR'ing in a couple of weeks (since I finished the challenge) and there are none in my future for another couple of months minimum. I am doing Cathe's 3 month tranformation rotation which leaves me no time for BR'ing right now!

Wiggie:: Nice mish mosh for you! You rock! Yeah-I am a sucker when it comes to all things fitness...ESPECIALLY when I spot a good deal! I may get the new work outs as early as TODAY! :D I plan to try them out during my recovery week from Cathe's rotation! ;) I had a brief opportunity to try a TRX a few weeks ago. It really is an awesome thing but you need something sturdy to attach it too and a little bit of space.

BBL!

Hi all!

Today's workout was STS Disc 7 (shoulders, biceps, and chest) + Stability Ball Abs.

As promised, DH bought me a pull-up bar for V-Day. Woohoo! I'm very excited. Now i've just got to learn how to do pull-ups. I tried last night and couldn't even do one. Of course DH proceeded to show off and do several. Jerk. :p

Wendy: How was Tony today? Looking lovely as usual? :D ;) Wow, the X-Trainfit at Home program looks great! and what an awesome price!! Can't wait to hear what you think about the program! Or maybe I don't want to hear because if it rocks i'm gonna wanna buy it! :p Nice job sticking with LIC. Are you going to kick me out of the check-in group if I tell you how much I love combo 4?   :p

Wiggie: oohhhh buddy your legs are going to be sore tomorrow! Awesome mix! Like Wendy said, modify your rotation as much as needed! You gotta do what's best for your body.

Bridget: There you are! I was wondering what happened to you this week! LOL! Sorry for the thread confusion. I LOVE swimming! I used to have a membership to the YMCA and would swim all the time! It's a great way to change up your routine. With that said, what are your current goals? Are you trying to gain muscle? lose weight? cut? maintain? Your goal(s) will dictate your rotation. :) I'm not being very helpful am I? :p

Katie:: Great job on your work out!!! If you can do a full regular unassisted pull up right off the kick then you are my hero!!! That being said, you need to grab your high step or a chair..or whatever will work for you to use as an assistance tool. They also sell something called a "woody band" to help assist with pull ups but they are pricey so I never purchased one. Yes, Tony was looking lovely as ever this morning! ;) You WOULD like combo 4 the best! Show off!!!:p LOL Ofcourse I will keep you and the rest of the gang abreast of my thoughts on the Xtrain work outs. They are being delivered today! I hope I can hold out on trying them til my recovery week!:eek: I went to the website and filled out my email address in a form and they sent me a pre-program assessment to fill out along with a fit test to do and work out sheets to print off for myself. I'm very excited! :D I hope I like it when I try coz I want it to be my next rotation after this one is done!

Good morning!!

Wednesday's workout was Low Impact Challenge, I went to church last night so no add on.

Katie, I love the last combo too!!:D My legs really were not sore, only if I sat for a while, then I would feel it for the first few steps.

Bridget, swimming is an awesome way to mix it up!!

Wendy, you are really making me want to pull P90x out!!

Have a great day All!!:)

Hi All.

This morning was AfterBurn but to mix it up a bit I decided to do the Double Trouble Premix. 5 mins shorter then the work out as produced but NO EASIER! Kicked my tushy big time!

Well today is my friday! DH and I have off tmrw to extend our already long weekend! We are heading to the casinos in the morning after dropping DS off at my MIL's and will return on Monday. I will work out before leaving but then not again until Tuesday!

Wiggie:: Oh so you are another LIC show off huh? UGH!:p;):) LOL Nice job!!! Hey no reason you can't pull out the X and so some subbing like I am in the LIS/STS rotation!

BBL!

Good morning!

Today's workout was Disc 9 (legs). I think i've become a "leg junkie" because I LOVE working my lower body. I used to despise it with every fiber of my being.  I added LBB to my pre-order (to avoid shipping charges, lol) and i'm hoping it arrives today or tomorrow. So excited!

Wendy: LOL, I think I was a little cocky when DH first put up the pull-up bar, thinking I could do at least 1 pull-up....yeah.... :D  So, does having the high step/chair make it easier? Because i'm definitely going to need assistance! So did you get your new training system yesterday?!?!?! ETA: Oops posting at the same time! :) I might have to check out the Double Trouble premix. Just to change it up a bit. Have a GREAT TIME this weekend!! Win big money!

Wiggie: WTG with Low Impact Challenge!!! I think I like combo 4 so much because, even though, it's hard to learn, it is easier on the heart than some of the other combos. LOL! :D  I still screw it up all the time, but I just jump around like a loon until I can get back on track. Thank goodness no one else is awake when I workout!

Katie:: Yes, use a chair/high step of the appropriate height so that you can do your pull ups from a bent arm position which makes it easier and also keep a foot (or both if you want) on the chair to help assist through the entire move until you are strong enough. They say working the negative helps with strength for pull ups (and push ups) so assist going up so it's easier and then come down slowly using all of your strength (assist if needed tho). I used to own a door gym and used it when I did my P90X rotation. I used a chair for assistance and by the end of the 90 days I was able to do a few (very few! LOL) unassisted pull ups! I was ecstatic! :D I now use my Cathe tower or my dip station for pull ups. Don't see a need for another door gym/pull up bar now that I have these two options. Thanks for the big $$$ vibes!!! I usually need em coz I usually lose! :( It's still fun though! :) Loved your jumping around like a loon comment to Wiggie btw. Made me laugh!

Hey I almost forgot! I did a dip station ab routine today as well! It went like this...

All Front Knee Raises broken down into the following 6 sets for a total of 60 reps:

15 reps
15 reps
10 reps
10 reps
5 reps
5 reps

Hello again!!

Today's workout was Burn Circuit 1 & 2 from Chalene Extreme. 1 was 36 min & 2 was 38 min. I enjoyed them, very different. They are weight workouts with compound moves.

Wendy, I hope you win big this weekend!!:D you're really getting good at those dips!!
