Smile Sept 08 Check in ** Wed. 17th **

Seems I am checking in again early today.

HSTA w/ abs on tap for me

I'm finding lately its hard for me to get back online once my day starts, DD usually uses this pc for her classes so she hogs it up lol

Here's hoping everyone finds themselves well.

I will do my best to get back on here later for personals.

Good morning Vilma have a great work out.

I'm checking in with a TM run I did 5.75 miles if only I didn't have to get the boys ready for school maybe I would have done 6. It felt good to run even on the TM. I wanted to get my run in before the boys left for school and its too dark to run outdoors. My DH runs with a head light on his head in the dark I think he is crazy.

I am feeling slightly better today. Still stuffy but not a sore throat. I am glad I didn't go to the Dr.s and waste his time/my time.

Who watched Biggest Loser last night? I love that show. It inspires me to work harder. I can't believe how much weight they drop in 1 week. Heck one guy dropped more in one week than I lost in 24 weeks of WW.

Joanne praying that the germs stay away from Caitlyn so she can have her surgery tomorrow. Please keep us posted.

Good Morning!
I'm off the next 3 days!! Last night i did SB and SJ&P circuit premix 60min then upper body only from HSC. Today is my rest day! I'm not sure if I want to do another week or another 3 weeks of endurance. What would you guys do? I may just keep doing th is endurance thing for a month since i mainly lift heavy. I"m still doing the 100 push up challenge. THis is the second time i'm doin week 3 day one it's 25, 17, 17, 15 and then max 15. I had to go on my knees to max out 15, so i'm doing it again urgg
Lori awesome job on the TM I can't run like that my knees would die on me!! I'm glad you feel better!
Joanne my thoughts and prayers are with Caitlyn. Yes keep us posted!
Vilma I've always wanted HSTA. Is it really good like everyone says? Have a good workout!

Hi everyone..

Checking in real quick..We are leaving today to go to PA to visit the inlaws. I will be back on Sunday night. So, in case I can't get online while away. I wanted you all to know why I was absent..

I got up early this morning and did Butts & Gutts though. I plan to workout while away. I am taking KPC and maybe do some running on their treadmill. I got my Ipod loaded with some songs to keep me happy for a while..

Have a great day ladies...I gotta get the car and the rest of the stuff packed before we head out for the long about 6 hour drive...

Good morning guys!

Vilma, I hope you have a fun workout.

Lori, that's a funny image for your husband. But you know, I actually hate Biggest Loser. I used to watch it in the beginning but then I got pretty annoyed with it. I'm happy that people can find success on the show, but I get upset with the unrealistic/healthy weight loss. I feel like it almost trivializes weight loss for the people at home. I know when they're at the camp, they're in a not so real environment where they have trainers and doctors making sure that they won't die, but the conditions that they put on themselves should never be asked of any of us outside of TV land. I much prefer Fit TV shows where they show people trying to lose weight in their own environment. Don't mean to bash on you or anything, I just wish the show would show the viewer how to lose weight more realistically.

Randi, enjoy your rest day! Man, each time I look at your workouts I think you're so buff. Do you think the PU challenge is working for you?

Kathy, have fun with your in-laws. That's pretty cool that you're planning to workout there too.

Yesterday, I did manage to get C&W in the morning (went later than usual into work) and I was very happy I did so. Then I didn't lave the bench for about 5 hrs straight. I have another largish experiment today but I'm hoping to cut it down to about 4+ hrs, finish up some paperwork, and come home early. If I come home early and the house is cool enough, I'll work out but if not, I'm going to call it a rest day or do stretch max or something.

Have fun with all your workouts!

Good morning everyone! I think I may have caught what my son has -- or maybe it's Lori's germs getting me! I did work out, but I feel achy in a way that doesn't seem like doms. I did imax extreme, and I was disappointed it wasn't more weights. I skipped some of the c&w cardio segments, I confess, but still did workout for an hour and seven minutes.

Lori, yes, your husband is crazy to run in the dark. I totally understand it, because even with Coach Sean I'd much rather be outdoors, but I wouldn't do it in the dark. About this time of year is when I either go back to the machine or sometimes I might get a run in the afternoon while my kids play outside. Or, I wait til the weekends when I can workout later.

Kathy, have a great time with the in-laws!

Chris, how's your toe today?

Ivy, did you have your extra heart check thing? How'd that go? Or is it today?

Randi, if you normally lift heavy, I'd stick with another week of endurance. It seems like you always have killer workouts one way or another!

Hottie, good luck with the experiment today.

Joanne, I know we won't be hearing from you much between the broken computer and your daughter's surgery. Know that we're all thinking good thoughts for you.

Have a great day everyone.....

-Beth

Hi All
No one is home so I figured I'll report back in here while the pc is free lol

I did my workout as planned but I don't think I'm 100% yet. I was feeling really good until mid way through the workout at one point I felt so dizzy and nauseous that I had to stop and pause HSTA to just get my sick feeling off me. I kept on until my body said no more I stopped at the last cycle and went into the stretch part which I felt myself falling asleep.

I hate feeling this way yesterday on my run I didn't go as fast as I usually do but today I just felt off. I guess I'm still fighting whatever bug got me last week. I plan on staying up with my workouts but I 'll see what my body tells me through it. Bah! I have a sharp dull achy feeling in my left lower back so I'll be taking some advil for that. meh

I hate being sick as I know what I'm capable of doing when I'm at 100% and realizing I'm just quite not there yet really bugs the crap outta me

Joanne- I'll be keeping you all in my thoughts that all goes well on Thursday big hugs to your dd what a trooper she is.

Lori - Good going on your run Listen to your body you don't want a relapse as I'm guessing thats what I'm dealing with now - its not a good feeling.

So funny about your dh with the lamp on his head while out running. Thats why I use my TM because most times when I do run it's still dark out, plus being from NYC I just feel safe running on my TM at home.

Randi enjoy your days off. I really like HSTA as it goes by fast and I can usually go heavier than Cathe but alias not today as I ended up cutting it short just 10 minutes before the entire workout was over.

Kathy
have a good and safe trip.

Hottie - enjoy whatever you end up doing. I'm not one for reality tv either - shrugs I usually end up reading a book or watching what my kids watch usually Nic tv or Disney lol

Beth - I hope you don't get sick its not a good thing at all as I'm dealing with it myself even though I thought I was feeling better . Listen to the body lol

Okay ladies well my lower back is really bothering me now so I'm off this pc for now.

Enjoy your day!

Hi ladies - thanks for all the good thoughts and prayers - you all are the best! I'm here at work today. So far, so good, no sniffles for Caitlyn. I'm feeling pretty miserable, though. The cold really hit me last night. Nose like a faucet and sneezing non stop. I felt so bad - I just wanted to snuggle with Caitlyn, but I tried to stay as far away from her as possible. And I must have washed my hand 20 times. We'll find out today what time the surgery is tomorrow. I do have my laptop at home, but I found out yesterday the power cord was fried during the flood. So, if I can get a new one today I'll try to pop in here maybe on the weekend to let you know how it went.

I skipped my workout this morning - figured the extra hour of sleep would be better for me. I may go for a walk during my lunch, though.

Randi, I do like HSTA. Burns alot of calories and the weight work is good - I like the upper body premix. Great mish mosh again!

Lori, wow, that's a great treadmill run! I'd probably have to giggle if I saw someone running with a headlight on his head! But, good for him - he's getting out there. A treadmill is on my wish list - I'd love to get one.

Vilma, yes, listen to your body! Maybe you need a day or two of complete rest? Then try again and you may be back to normal.

Beth, wow, you did Imax extreme feeling icky? That's tough on a normal day! Hope you're feeling better. So, who on this check-in isn't sick???

Hottie, hope you can get home early and your workout in. If not, enjoy your rest or stretch! I do watch Biggest Loser and enjoy it, but I agree, the weight loss isn't realistic for "normal" people. But, I do think it's motivating for people watching, hopefully. I can't believe the pounds these people lose in a week. Wasn't one close to 30???? That's like a 90,000 calorie deficit. I'm sure a big percentage of it is water, but still.

Kathy, hope you have a nice trip.

BBL...

Joanne

Good Morning Girls!!!

I got my workout done for the day: Legs & Glutes (skipped the lunges of any kind due to toe pain) and then ME: Abs. I really felt my BUTT working today. Excited about the chance of this rotation making that end a bit smaller....

It is VERY cool out here, but sunny. Nice, but I do feel a little chill. My cats sit by the windows waiting for me to open them. I DON'T WANT TO!!!

Vilma: Ooooh girl! you need to rest and take care of yourself. I understand pushing a little to do a workout, but you're definitely not ready with THOSE signs!! If it's been over a week, I'd give your doctor a call to be seen. And what's with the pain in your low back? Could it be a kidney infection? DO take care!!!

Lori: Good run on the TM today! Your husband is a definite diehard runner, huh? Though if given the option, I'd run outdoors too. I really don't like the TM ... too boring for me! I DVR'd "Biggest Loser". I do love watching that show! At first, I was appalled at it, like you said, Hottie. For the same reasons. I just felt it was unrealistic AND dangerous to boot! And I totally refused to watch it. But somehow I got hooked! I love seeing the transformations. I love seeing people get and feel healthier too!

Randi: I would go for another month of endurance too...

Kathy: I probably missed ya, but have a safe trip! Are you any where near Hershey Park there? My 13 yr old says that's his choice for summer vacation next year!

Hottie: Hope your day goes well, NICE , you get to come home early! Enjoy the downtime! Maybe a good stretch would be good if it's too hot?

Beth: Oh crap! Sorry you're sick. I'm soooo paranoid of catching cooties this time of year too. I went to my son's open house last night, and thought about all the bugs on the stair railings, and desks, etc. *shudder*. I washed my hands for 5 minutes when I got home!!! I can NOT believe you did IMAX extreme (what the heck is that??). But I guess it doesn't hurt to try. Because you don't know what you can do until you do try..... My toe is ok. I'm walking a LOT better. It's a tiny bit sore, still bruised up nasty. I did everything from L&G this morning, except anything that had me bending my back foot. Although I did do calf raises (just not so high).

Joanne: Another sick one!! Oh no!!! I'm going to be sanitizing my computer and wearing a mask when I come online now!!!! You were smart in taking the extra sleep this morning. You have to be at your best for tomorrow. I will be thinking of you guys and saying extra prayers tonight for you and your daughter. How long do they expect she'll be hospitalized?

randi: Hi-5's on all those push-ups!! I need to try that challenge once my toe mends. which might not be for a few months!!, but one day I'll do it!

I think I'll go chill out and watch Biggest Loser now..

I did watch the finale of Big Brother last night, and was THRILLED who won!! He deserved it! I think my favorite personality was Renny though. in the beginning , I thought she was a total nut, but in the end, she was the sweetest with the biggest hear, plus a ton of fun to watch!1

BBL .....
