Just finished my w/o. It's really been a couple of weeks since I did heavy legs. I was squatting 90# but didn't want to push it. So I pyramided up 40,50,60,75 all sets of 6 and then did 85# for 4 sets. Then did RDLs 102.5 4 sets of 6 (after warmup sets), Bulgarian squats 3 sets of 6 (20# DBs in each hand), and lastly calf raises with 102.5# for 25, 15 & 15. Only 4 exercises, but man o man, what a workout!! I am exhausted.

School doesn't break until a couple of days before Christmas. I am ready for one week. I enjoyed Thanksgiving, but I am definitely already looking forward to the next break. It was cold today and I didn't feel like doing anything. The kids wanted to go out, but I was just too lazy. After I mentioned putting up the Christmas tree, they got so excited and forgot all about going somewhere. I had a lot of work to catch up on that I have been putting off, so that is what I did today. No exercise....and no junk food today either. I guess I should admit that there is also no junk food in the house. My kids don't like that right now, but it a good thing for me and DH.
 
So Affirm, how much time do you have off for Christmas? I think it's smart to keep the junk food out of the house!! My DH has a sweet tooth and so that'll never happen :D

My legs are so sore I can hardly move today :eek: Planning heavy upper body today.

I wonder if Rose went shopping??

I am sitting here watching Charlie Brown Christmas. I love watching those oldies. Makes me feel like a kid again :+

I have some SERIOUS lower body DOMS. Really, can hardly move uggggghhhhh!!!

I did heavy upper body today. I was finally able to increase my bench to 77.5 (up 2.5#) I know it doesn't seem like much, but I was stuck at 75 for sooooooooo long. Had a pretty good w/o. Eating has been good today.

Hey ladies. I didn't exercise for 4 days and my diet has been a-w-f-u-l!!! My dad totalled his SUV (major crash with another SUV, then lost control and hit a tree) and although he's better now he's using a walker. Now my parents have only one car and I've been trying to help them. Ugh I've been so stressed out about that, I haven't had any time to exercise or to eat well and yes my back was killing me. Today I felt somewhat better but I had to go see my dad and I popped KM and did the kick/punch combos only (that's the first 30 mins or so before the blasts) and I did some stretches on my own and that's about it. As you might guess I haven't had any time to go to the mall, but next Wednesday I have a medical appointment and I have my afternoon off and I'll probably go to the mall that day. I feel so much better when I exercise. I know it's the endorphins not that my back actually got better, but at least it counts as some kind of relief. I definitely have to do some weights tomorrow, probably PS: SL&A which I've been rescheduling for 5 days now.

Catherine - Lower body DOMS is always a good sign, although it can slow us down with our cardio.

Affirm - Holiday vacations/breaks start on Dec 21st over here so I know how it feels, but Dec 21st will be here in no time.

Rose,hang in there. It is good that you live close to your parents to be able to help out. I live very far away and often wish I was closer to be able to help out when needed.

I have not exercised at all this week. Eating has been good, but I have enjoyed a small serving of icecream today.
 
Hey ladies. My diet was good today and I *finally* did PS: SL&A. I had trouble in the beginning (I've been so tired) but when I got to the floorwork my energy was back and I could finish the whole workout. My dad is better, good thing he had that car insured for every single thing that might happen. The insurance company gave him a really nice new car for about a month and they will settle as soon as possible. That taught me the importance of insurance (mine has minimum coverage, whatever is required by law, but I will definitely consider better insurance coverage when I get my next car).

Tomorrow I'm doing a short cardio + PS: CST.
 
It has been so cold lately. Today I did Muscle Max.

Rose, congrats on your PS workout. I am sure you feel great about that! Hang in there.
 
Hey ladies. Eating is still good. Did take an early rest day yesterday. Muffie (my oldest dog) is sick. She has a mass in her abdomen and we don't know what it is. She will likely be undergoing exploratory surgery next week. I've gotten very little sleep because she is up all night whining. Poor thing, I feel so bad for her.

Rose, I hope your dad is still doing ok.

Affirm, it's been cold here to. Makes it harder to get going doesn't it?

Fitfairy, I will be thinking positive thoughts for Muffie. They look so sad when they are sick. I hope she feels better soon.

I did IMAX this morning. It has been a long time since I did a weight DVD. I brought my step to the bedroom. However, I never brought up the weights because it was suppose to just be temporary. I bet is has been a month. I just decided to workout right in the bedroom for a while. I had planned to head back to the basement by now, but just hasn't. Now, we are getting ready to have some work done down there for the next couple of weeks. When it is all finished, I am sure I will be excited to down there more often. I just didn't want the weights in the bedroom and tempt the kids with touching them. We have established rules about my weights, but you know how kids can get if you are not watching them.
 
Hello ladies. Catherine I am so sorry for your doggie. I hope everything goes well. Affirm, I love IMax and sure miss doing it. Maybe if you can't move the heavier weights doing a circuit cardio workout with lighter weights might be an option so you don't lose muscle in the meantime. Since the weights are lighter you can also hide them from view when you're not using them so your kids don't get curious.

Today I did LIC cardio only premix (the first one) and it felt good. I can't go too low in blasts 3 and 4 because of my back, but I still got a good workout. Tomorrow I'm doing a short cardio plus BBA and on Sunday I'll do cardio only. I've been eating a lot of treats these past few days. Stress does that to me. Today I did better so I hope I can keep it up. My mom came from the doctor today and her cholesterol is down to 180 (remember when I posted that she had 360?), she's been on medication but I guess my diet habits are affecting her as well. She has lost some weight also and is down a size in clothes. I told her she has to keep it up and that these are changes she has to stick for life (not until she reaches her weight goals). Hopefully she'll listen. I love my mom and I'm glad she's much better now. My dad is also better after the accident.
