Good morning ladies..

Yesterday I got a great workout. I did Amy Bento's Hi/Lo Dome. I really enjoy her Hi/lo workouts. The footwork wasn't too fancy and hard to get like the step DVDs...Today I am doing Kick, punch & crunch....

ok, gotta get the day started!!!

Hi Kathy! And Everyone. Happy Friday! I'm doing the happy friday dance!

Kathy, that hi-lo dome workout sounds good! I may do KPC sometime soon, as Cathe mentioned it's one of the ones the RTers should work on. I think I'd rather do a new one though, when I think about it! :) Have fun with it!

So, did I get the cupcakes? I haven't checked......

I stayed in bed today.... was going to do an Ellen, but it's really cold here, and bed felt so good. I may do some Ellen later, we'll see....

Travis gets back today at noon, and did I tell you? We have to pick them up then. They can't keep them another two hours? Crazy, but I guess those teachers need a break. Truthfully, I'm happy to see him then..... my big dilemma is do I have some time alone with him or do I pull Dylan out then too so we can go to town and not have to worry about getting back on time? Some moms think I will want to take him straight home to a shower, but I have to get him down the the dr.....

I'm very excited! How silly am I.....

Beth: Enjoy some time with Travis!! I love taking one of the kids someplace and doing something. Every Friday Vic takes Lauren to church where she attends a challenge group for girls and I stay home with Chris. We have the best time and so do they. And of course the girls and the guys do alone time stuff together too.

ok, back to school lessons then KPC!!!

Beth, yep, you get the cupcakes! ;) I totally understand about being excited to see Travis!! I would pick him up at 12:00 and spend some time with him before getting Dylan. You can hear all about his trip. I love spending time individually with the kids. It makes them feel special, too. The shower can wait! Jameson is going away for a week during the summer to the residential high school he might attend starting his sophomore year. It's a math and science academy. I'm really sending him so he can get a feel for if he'd really like it and also it'll help with his admissions. It's one of the things they look at is if you've attended any of their summer programs. I know I'm going to miss him during that week - what am I thinking to consider sending him away! :( Although he would come home most weekends and they get some long breaks.

Kathy, those are some fun workouts - Amy's and KPC.

Hi Chris and Hottie!

OMG - I did Tonique this morning. Has to be one of the toughest workouts I've ever done. Not sure if I'll be walking again anytime soon. During it I was thinking, wow, this is a great workout, but I'll probably never do it again cause it's so hard and I'll dread it. It's weird - now I want to do it again!! I think I'm going to do some type of BBL/Tonique rotation for awhile.

Tonight Jameson is going to a "lock-in" for CCD. It's like a retreat, I guess, and they stay up all night. I have to pick him up at 6:00am. I'm not too keen on the whole idea, but he wants to go. Tomorrow he has two soccer games - don't know how he's going to manage that. We have to go register for high school at 11:00am, so there won't be too much time for a nap. Should be interesting.

BBL...

Joanne

Hey Girls!

Yes, Beth, you get the cupcakes

OMG, I just did tomorrow's workout, today. almost 90 minutes (with a pee break). Power Hour, minus abs and stretch. Actually , not TOO bad. I guess I should have gone heavier. Didn't really get to failure or almost failure status too much. And then I did 40/20! Hell yeah! Definitely did NOT do those butt kicks. I'm tired, and you want to do BUTT KICKS. Nope, ain't happening. I think I may have swore at Cathe once of twice.

Kathy: Enjoy KPC!! I'm going to do a premix of it tomorrow.

Beth: Enjoy the time with Travis, ALONE! I would. Once you get 2 together, they're going to just fight and be snarly. ;) Hope you get some Ellen time in!

Joanne: WOw, and so, you give me even a bigger reason not to want Tonique! (the accent had me! lol!). You know, I kind of feel that way about Lalo. It's tough stuff and I'm not drawn to it too often. If he had a Polish accent and talked like he was in a porn movie, I may not do him as often either ;)..... BUSY weekend there! It seems wrong to have kids do an "all nighter" for a church function and then go home at 6am! What???? They don't even give them breakfast?
to Hottie!! Hope you got a better night's sleep (I didn't!)

I have a ton to do, gotta get to the grocery store, the bank, and come home and get pre-weekend cleaning started, and then go to Alex's class play for 1:30, so I better run...

BBL!!!

Joanne: I don't think our parrish does those lock ins. I haven't heard of it. Is Jameson in 7th grade? Lauren is in 7th grade and they haven't mentioned it. Lauren goes to a challenge group every Friday at church to help her grow in faith. Tomorrow she volunteered to box up meals for the poor..Should be a great experience for her and counts toward her confirmation service hours too..I bet he will have a hard time playing soccer with hardly any sleep. Tough day for him tomorrow..

Chris: Way to go on your workout. I dread it tomorrow. 40/20 is tough enough without being tired already from power hour. We have a busy day tomorrow. I am hoping I can squeeze it all in...

Time for lunch now that I am done with KPC...

Yes, you all are right.... I had already decided I'd keep him to myself for a couple of hours! :) One mom suggested we all go out for pizza.... haven't they had enough time together?!

Joanne, that's funny about tonique! I'm definitely working in tonique and bbl for a while. I'll be really curious to hear what you think about the other toniques. Chris, you are too funny with your comments about it!!

That is a crazy workout with 40/20 after it!! You go, girls!

The lockout is crazy, too, but I have heard about them. Does sound like the makings for a miserable rest of the weekend!

back later.... (for more cupcakes?)

Kathy, Jameson is in 7th grade religious education, but in 8th grade at school. He skipped a grade, but we didn't move him up in religious ed. It's not a mandatory thing, but he wanted to do it cause his best friend is planning it. The 8th graders put it together for the 7th graders. They do have a mandatory retreat next Saturday, but if they go to this, they are excused from the retreat. So, that's good, at least. He would have had to miss his band competition cause it was at the same time. I don't think he'd really care, though, he's really started to complain about not liking band! I think those experiences are great for kids (boxing up meals for the poor).

Chris, that does sound like a tough workout! I'm sure you're glad it's over and done with! I don't know if they get breakfast or not. They do have to bring their own snacks and drinks. I did find out he doesn't have to go to the high school registration - just the parents. So, that'll give him a couple more hours of sleep. It guess it's just to take more of our money! ;) They don't pick classes or anything yet.

Beth, sorry, no cupcakes for you yet today! You would think the kids would have had enough of each other! I can't remember - did you like the other toniques better than the first? I didn't mind the voiceover but some of the comments were a bit weird. Oh, and that outfit during the cooldown. Really??? I was embarrassed just having it on the TV! I can definitely see doing this on mute with my own music.

Oh, did anyone see The Office last night. Freakin' hilarious!! I was watching with the kids (they got an education ;)) and we were all laughing so hard.

Long day....seems like it's dragging.

Joanne

I WANT THE CUPCAKE TODAY!

OH MY GAWD, you guys, my legs are KILLING me! First my shins and now my entire lower end. I can't even walk! I hate that first run of the season feel!!! I couldn't keep up with Alex in school after the play!!

The play was so freakin cute and funny! Instead of a book report, this is what they did. They sat with 4 other "characters" at a cafe. So Alex sat with Amehlia Arheart, Abe Lincoln, Hellen Keller and Barack Obama. They all had a "discussion" over lunch about what they've done in their lives. It was so cool and interesting! One of Alex's friends was at another grouping, and she was Elvis. She talked in the accent too. "Can you pass the butter? Thank you, thank you very much". ...It was great.

Kathy: Don't dread it! It's do-able. I kept telling myself I could "take it easy" or modify for 40/20. I did modify, but didn't end up taking it easy. And then , it's OVER! I was ready for more! (not really ;)). That is awesome what they do with CCD there. VERY cool!!

Beth: Have fun on your one on one today! Good decision!

Joanne: So it works out a LITTLE better with the lockout tonight. And you have one less kid at home ;)

I didn't watch The oFfice. Oh, didn't the girl have her baby? .... I'm stuck on American Idol and then Grey's Anatomy and Private pRactice (though I always fall asleep during Private Practice).

Better go clean!

OMG, it's almost 50 here and SUNNY!! I'm in a mood !!! SPRING IS COMING BABY!!!

HA - no, I want them!!!!

Chris, that play sounds so cute!! What grade is Alex in? Yes, Pam did haver her baby on The Office. I'm going to watch it again tonight with DH. Except I forgot I'm going to this jewelry party. Not really into going, but maybe it'll be fun. I watch those other shows, too, but haven't seen last nights' Grey's or Private Practice yet.

That's it - just wanted those cupcakes! :) :)

CUPCAKES!!!

HA!

Hey, no workouts for me -- Joe AND Evee managed to get sick and I got just stuck doing a bunch of "functional" workouts sort of. Tomorrow I'm going to hit it hard in the morning...I made lamb curry tonight which heals ALL but puts on about five pounds in the meantime...

CUPCAKES!!!
