I Hate Cardio - Oct 3

Good morning, good muffin, to you!

Okay. I'm sick :eek: . Today's cardio will be blowing my nose intervals and some coughing up a lung training. Afterwards, I'll stretch out my swollen lymph nodes.

But man do I have an appetite! }(

Anyway let's see here...

Ellen - Was I around when you were? Michele mentioned a pool boy, and I definitely remember reading about a pool boy LOL. Anyway, welcome back! Are you starting a rotation that you made or the one that's posted on the rotations part?

Diane - Don't worry, I won't ask you to come clean my apartment LOL.

Michele - That's great news that your MIL is making positive progress! Oh gosh, nothing to eat or drink? Well, it will make food and drink all the more tasty when she's able to partake again! Hey, wouldn't it be great if when you needed to stay at a hospital if you could request certain meal plans? Like, "I'll take the 5-Factor meal plan." Or, "BFL for me, please." That would give a hospital a nice ritzy resort kind of feeling. Anyway, with her fever gone, it sounds like she'll just get better and better. Which is much, much more than we can say about your shoes. LOL, so the shoes didn't work, eh? Ech! Who needs 'em! LOL.

Kate - Please, please tell us you did skate! LOL.


I tried the oatmeal with chocolate whey powder and blueberries this morning.....however I couldn't taste a DANG thing because my nose was so stopped up LMAO! But I think it tasted pretty good. x(
 
I have done nothing but lay on my couch eating all day (good clean eats, but all day! :eek: :p ). I've just been famished...I guess all the coughing and blowing my nose WAS good cardio after all. ;)

I'm starting to feel better now. But I know, I know, no workout tomorrow. :-( I've got another out-of-towner this weekend, so I want to be healthy for that. Well, jeez, I just want to be healthy period, of course! :D

How're the rest of you guys over there?

August, I'm glad to see you finally took my advice and vegged out on the couch. There's nothing like the couch and a warm blankie when you're under the weather, except for maybe some chicken broth. I'm telling you, chicken broth infused with lots of veggies is just the ticket for a bad cold. It has to do with the antioxidants and warm steam. Anyway, I'm glad to hear you're beginning to feel better. I've been worried about 'cha. I strongly encourage you to drink, drink, drink, and drink some more--lots of water and juice. That will help to thin out your secretions. I wish I were following your lead and eating clean, but I polished off about 1/2 of a loaf of pumpkin bread yesterday--all by myself:eek: :9 :eek: :eek: :9 :eek: :9

Jana, Diane, Ellen, Kate, Dana--what are you girls up to today?

I'm going to be home today doing laundry and paying bills. I'm making dinner for my FIL and then going to see my MIL later this afternoon/evening. I wasn't able to do my workout yesterday so I want to try to do a double workout today. I better get crackin!

I didn't skate, my back was out. See, you can make a positive out of a negative and no, I am not working out today either. I am still a bit sore. Guess that is part of getting older...NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

Anyway, I have nothing to say. Imax 2 was easier to do this past Saturday. My heart rate hit 162 when it used to hit 180. I don't have a heart timer or whatever they are called, just a watch with a second hand. I used to want one of those monitors but I have heard they are not that good with the calorie count so what is the point? And they are much too expensive.

I will work out with you tomorrow. I feel so guilty when I don't get my workout in and fear that I am going to like not working out. Panic panic!

Sorry, I've been on the sofa all day.

Well, I didn't make chicken soup or stock (hey, what would be the difference?), but I did grill up some chicken that had been marinating in my fridge and had it for dinner with green beans and asparagus. Then I had a really gross grapefruit for dessert. Actually, I must have had a fever today because everything I ate tasted slightly bitter. But the funny thing - the only thing that didn't taste bitter was...my green beans! They were so sweet that I actually laughed out loud.

So whatcha cooking for FIL, Michele? My Mom ran to the store and bought me some apples and soymilk (now that I remember why I stopped drinking cow milk ;) ) so I gave her some chicken and veggies and told her to get away from me and my virus. I sure hope she doesn't get it. I wore a cold mask while I was cooking...

Kate - oh yeah, your back is out. Bummer. I wanted to hear the ice skating story. Was it a good party?
 
Oh, hey, Kate, I got a HRM when I was in the States this last time. It's a Polar F11 and I pretty much have no idea how to use it. But it's fun to have and to see how many calories were burned (true or not who knows) and the beeping, though some people hate, I find to keep me motivated. Except when I forget to stop it when I'm doing situps. :*
 
Hi Ladies - I did not do my flylady cleaning last night as planning. I talked on the phone to a good friend forever last night, and by the time I got off the phone, it was 8 pm and I was starving. So I will try and clean tonight instead.

Today is another one of those days where I slept in really late but still feel exhausted. I am not sure what is wrong with me, I can never get enough sleep. I slept in for 11 hours on Saturday! I am not sure if that is normal, but I just love sleep these days.

I still have not done a workout for over a week. I am starting to feel flabby and I have to wear a bikini next week! I am in serious trouble.
 
Hi Girls!

Today is a big renewal for me!

Made up my own beg/int rotation of Cathe and Turbo Jam. So I planned that out for 12 weeks.

Today I did LIS (90%) of it. Feels good to be back on track.

Made a big pot of home made Chicken soup (*shares with all*)

Have to go take the dog for a walk.

Michele - I'm so sorry that all the shoes didn't work out. I should be getting two packages from zappos today. Some ballet flats I ordered and a new order of those brown boots, hopefully without any black smudges on it this time. I really hope the ballet flats work because I need them for vacation. Otherwise, I will have to go back to the mall this weekend and try again.

What do y'all think about these shoes for work? They look like they may be a little bit more comfortable with extra cushioning, which I really need. And mary janes are in these days.
