I **heart** KETTLEBELLS....Valentines day weekend!

Good Morning and happy Valentines day


Today I did a quick workout:
I warmed up with:

the AOS flow drill:
starting on the right side:
half get-up
high pull/snatch
presses
squat with bell racked
long cycle cleans
swings
figure 8 to a hold ending in left hand
swings
long cycle clean
squat with bell racked
press
high pull/snatch
reverse half get-up ending on floor
except for the get up everything is for 30 seconds. I took a full 30 second break before the presses on the left side:mad: they are so hard for me!

then I did 3 cycles of:

  • kettlebell snatches r/l
  • Air Dyne sprints (I subbed with the ropes- doing alternate waves with squats)
  • Spiderman push ups
  • Weighted jump rope
I used 30 seconds of work and 15 seconds of rest intervals on the GymBoss. I got this workout from the NJ crossfit website.

Gayle~ I think you are right! I am going to try the SSST!!:eek: but I am going to work up to it, the next 2 weeks I am going to increase my snatch time and at the end of the 2 weeks (before I start ROP) I am going to try it!!!:eek::eek:

Good morning! I have to tighten my treadmill belt today so I can do a little HIIT later, I was very happy yesterday when I did Empire State I used my 25# for swings and deadlifts and did the whole snatch challenge with my 20#. Guess it's time to invest in a 30#! I hope Santa Monica comes today! If it does that will be my workout tomorrow!

Hi All !

Not sure If I'll be doing any kettlebell work or workouts today as I'm a bit hungover from drinking just two darned glasses of wine last night - I just am not a drinker and when I do imbibe it is really hard on me blech.

DH and I went out to dinner last night for Valentine's day, so I didn't get a workout in. I'm going to try to get a workout in this morning...maybe Providence with a light KB for a cardio/endurance thing. I'm driving part of a transport for a Boxer rescue this afternoon, so it's going to be a busy day.

This morning I did my kettlebell challenge as follows:

14 Kettlebell Thrusters (7 each side)
- 18# double armed kb
13 Russian Twists - 25# kb
12 Cleans (6 each side) - 18# kb
11 Walking Swings - 35# kb
10 Single Leg Deadlifts w/kb (5 each side) 35# kb
9 Calf Raises - 12# dumbbells
8 Kettlebell Push Press - 18# double armed
7 Squat Thrusts
6 Windmills (3 each side) - 14# kb
5 Renegade Rows - 12# dumbbells
4 TGUs (2 each side) -10# kb but I didn't use my arms to help me up!! yay!!
3 Planks
2 Mr. Spectaculars - 18# double armed
1 Burpee
150 jumping jacks.

I also did 10 kettlebell swings with 44#!!

I did the following workout this afternoon. Wow...very humid this afternoon due to all the rain this morning.

200 Jump Rope
25 kb high pulls
200 Jump Rope
25 Swings
200 Jump Rope
25 Goblet Squats
200 Jump Ropes
50 Weight lunge steps
200 Jump Ropes

Happy V Day to all. Did a section of Core Max yesterday. Nothing today because I am working on a research paper that is due on Monday. If I don't check in tomorrow, I will be back Monday.
