Around 4am this morning, the Squirrel Jungle decided it was time for a wild chase back and forth between the two rooms at Chateau August. It was pretty funny, all the scrambling and bursts of frantic climbing here and there.

Though I would have probably more enjoyed it if it had been, say, at 11am or so. http://www.mysmiley.net/imgs/smile/indifferent/indifferent0003.gif

Of course then after their wild play, they each one by one had to go to the bathroom LOL. And pretty much all the kitties have this habit : They do their business, then they balance on the sides of the litter box and scratch all around the plastic edges for about five minutes, lean down and smell that their #2 is still stinky and completely exposed, and then they scratch at the plastic sides for another five LOL.

So after the big Jungle Chase, I was treated to 4x :

"Geez, I've been covering up my Doo for 5 minutes. Why on earth does it still stink? Hmm. Maybe I'll scratch the plastic sides some more." (5 more noisy minutes later...) "Hmm. Still stinks. Weird. Oh well."

But, oddly enough, I woke this morning around 10am feeling revived and good........

and happy to see that sleeping with me were Chami, Yoyo and Lulu. http://www.mysmiley.net/imgs/smile/happy/happy0047.gif So I guess they do feel comfortable being here.

All right. I've got a meeting on Friday that starts at 4pm, so I've decided this is the day that I MUST buy dining chairs. I MUST!

JENNIFER - Urgh! Don't you love the Winter Blues? All the piling of clothing and piles of snow sure take their toll. It's just the time when you're really hankering for Spring to come and it won't. But it's just around the bend, so hang on there!

I'm on a mission to get more NEW in my life -- some dining chairs would be good LOL, and I need to do something different with my hair. That will bring some good Spring cheer for me.

Can seeing Mark be for fun and going out? Does it have to be something to lead somewhere?

Ah, after the one I failed? Since I was gone over the weekend and came back to half a big bowl of sweet potato and bean stew, and an overflowing big bowl of tomato glue, I have not yet tried something else. I did finish the sweet potato one with Mom last night and it was really delish.

But I've made my grocery list and am roaring to try out some new ones, though, this week!

Morning haters. I just have a minute here to let Michele know that when we visit my mom in VT, we often go to the Cabot cheese store for lunch. They have free samples of all their wonderful cheeses and we just stroll around and around with our toothpicks. Then, for dessert, we go to the Lake Champlain Chocolate Shop next door and have a free sample of their orgasmic chocolate.

Hi August, Shannon, Jennifer and Jenn. I hope to get back later to chat with the rest of you. I just couldn't pass up a chance to talk about food with Michele!

Hello Haters.

It's Wednesday and I have a breakfast meeting this AM. Not the healthy kind either. The more McD's burritos kind.

Bummer, Seville and Madrid may never meet Mark. It would be great just to get to know Mark, without it going anywhere.
But, GOD literally only knows if/when we'll see each other again.

So, when something exciting happens here, I will be sure to let you all know. The winter blues are hanging in. Cabin Fever too. The time change is not helping either.

Robin-VT, I should and could visit there. My sister lives in the Albany area but I don't think we'll cruise to VT this time. Those places sound exciting. A chocolate cafe' opened in South Haven, a resort village on Lake MI..

DH and I overslept this morning. Oh man I hate that! Whenever this happens this overwhelming feeling of not being able to catch up stays with me all day long -- Grrrrrrrr!

I know I said that I blew it with my diet "yesterday", but it was actually more like the past 4 days . I really need to buckle down here. I probably regained the weight I lost last week x(

Hey haters. Just checking in quickly. I'm taking a break here - just had my apple & once I'm done typing, I'll have my yogurt and then back to work.

Jennifer - sorry you've got the winter blues. I hate this time of year too. There is a trail close by where I live that I love to walk and although it is warm enough here, I know that it is probably nothing but mud. It is mostly wooded so no sun, which means, there is probably still snow there too!

Michele - that candy bar sounds yummy!!!! I think I have to pick up Gabe's candy order tonight. He sold Gertrude Hawk so not as good as what you ate.

Robin - if I don't talk to you within the next few days, have a wonderful trip!!!! I'm envious of you!

August - you have got some seriously wild kitties on your hands. OMG, I'd go nuts! Although last night at exactly 12:43 I woke up to Ralphie staring in my face. I took him downstairs and he went right in his kennel. Are you going away again this weekend?

Jen - hey, glad to see you posted last night.

I didn't workout last night. I was so tired, I went to bed at 8:00. I was going to do L&G but didn't feel up to anything. So read the latest issue of Cooking Light and went up to bed. Exciting!!!

Not sure if I'll do anything tonight. Thinking about taking a powerwalk but not sure yet.
