Break it up! Break it up!

What's this about procrastinating? And bowels?

And who the heck is eating brains?! http://mysmileyz.com/s/912.gif

August wanted me to tell you that she's been doing one section of I Want That Body every day, but that she doesn't feel worthy to spend an hour exercising.

HEY! http://mysmileyz.com/s/Impatient.gif That's what she said. So lay off and let her go back to researching better foods for her squirrels!

I MEAN WORK! Let her get back to WORK! http://www.freesmileys.org/smileys/angry051.gif

Gooooooomorning! http://www.pic4ever.com/images/263.gif

It's Friday! It's PIZZA DAY!!!

ROTFLMAO at Augie Doggie's rootin' tootin' sheriff icon!!!

Yes, apparently my DH was eating brains -- fried brains drizzled in maple syrup http://www.pic4ever.com/images/184.gif . Ahhhh, there's just nothin' like down home Amish country cookin'. http://www.pic4ever.com/images/www_MyEmoticons_com__burp.gif

As per our usual routine, DH woke up yesterday morning and said he had to attend a meeting...in New Jersey...today. So he packed a bag and left last night. He'll be home in time for pizza. http://www.pic4ever.com/images/126fs3187096.gif http://www.pic4ever.com/images/126fs3187425.gif http://www.pic4ever.com/images/403fx8l.gif http://www.pic4ever.com/images/126fs3187425.gif

I...I didn't work out yesterday. I can explain. It was SO FREAKING HOT! It was over 90 degrees outside. I'm going to have to figure out a way to cool down our 2nd floor. That's where I workout and it gets way too hot up there. My downstairs feels fine, but the upstairs is stifling! I saw an ad for ductless AC -- it's like a window AC but instead of going in a window, it fits into a 3" opening in your wall, and then the actual cooing (I mean cooLing) unit sits on the ground like behind a bush or something :D . I don't have any place to put my exercise equipment downstairs and I'm not carting it up and down. And Eli can't be moved around anyway. x(

I did not find out anything about my bike conversion, either. I'll do that over the weekend when DH is home to help me.

Alright then, I have a bazillion errands to run and I want to do it before the temperature soars. We're supposed to be over 90 again today -- UGH! I'll try to do personals later.

Hi Cuz, Dana, Jen, Jennifer (where are you two?), and Robin just in case you're checking in :*

P.S. I saw that Dana -- BWAHAHAHA! I though everybody ate chicken bowels. I'm sure my DH would :p

I want that kitty bed thing!

Good morning!!!

Augie - did you buy that kitty perch? Actually, I guess you'd need a couple of them so the squirrels wouldn't have to share, right? Come and play... It's Friday... you don't really have to work, do you?

Dana - I guess that "bowel of soup" was before my time. But I believe it. Sounds like something Michele would say... :p

Cuz - I just about fell out of my chair when you said DH would eat chicken bowels!!!!! Hey, are you telling me your house does not have central air conditioning? You poor thing. How utterly miserable. Nobody even builds houses without AC down here.

All right. My rest week is OVER. Last night I was so utterly miserable. My workouts help get the tension from sitting all day out of my body. And not doing a workout all week is starting to show. My body was in knots last night, and I had an icky headache. Tonight I am working out. GSL, probably. I would much rather have one sore calf than an entire sore body. :p

Hey Cuz!!

Oh my, I know how hard it is for you to go without your workouts, but I'm glad you gave your leg the rest. Are you sure GSL will be alright for you? Why don't you do a full body w/o instead so you don't have such a heavy concentration on legs? That way you can work the knots out but still not overtax your leg. :*

We DO have central air, but it doesn't do a very good job of cooling the 2nd story. It's like a bake oven up here (our bedrooms, office, and w/o room are on the 2nd floor).

Oh yes -- my DH will eat just about anything. On a sappy sentimental note -- you guys know about my brother, right -- the one who is mentally ill? Well, he baked a "cake" one time, and God only knows WTH he put in there. It smelled awful. Well, he desperately wanted us each to have a piece. I, his sister, declined, but my DH took a BIG piece, ate every bite, then made a fuss over it like it was the best cake he ever ate. And THAT'S why I love him. He's so kind -- even though he forgets to tell me about trips ;) .

Cuz - I think GSL will be okay. It's stuff like going up on my toes or twisting that bothers my calf. If my feet are flat under me, like in squats or static lunges, I don't feel a thing.

Maybe you need new insulation in your attic? I'm probably going to add some in mine this fall, to help conserve energy. I should have done it early this spring, but there's no way I'm going to crawl around up there now. Talk about HOT!

Oh wow, your DH is special! That really is a neat story. I could never have done that. Did he tell you later what the cake tasted like?

Shannon I was thinking the same thing as Michele - esp since GSL has a calf section. How about MM?

Michele - your DH sure is a sweetie. Yeah, did he ever say what the cake tasted like? Wonder if scrapple is on the same line of head cheese? I know that people put syrup on scrapple too. I used to eat it when I was a kid until I knew that was in it. No wonder is is called scrap-ple. YUK!!! Is pizza night really pizza night or are trying to say something by using those smilies? You nut!!! When the heck is your DH going to have to come here for business???? Heck, GMC is a huge, teaching hospital - you'd think he'd need to come here for something???????? Can't he request it????Then you could hang out with me while he was working. Sounds like a plan, right?

I went out for a walk and it isn't as bad as people are saying. We've got people coming into the office saying how horrible the humidity is, yada, yada, yada. There is a nice breeze and I felt energized after my walk. Not drained at all. Some people! :p

My workout yeseterday was a 3.5 mile walk and the weights and stretch (NO CARDIO) from 4DS chest/back. Tonight I'm planning on doing (NO CARDIO) 4DS triceps/biceps and will add on abs from MIS. My anticipated workouts for the weekend are:
depending if I can get up by 6:00 tomorrow, 4 mile walk outside
and Sunday (if I can get up early as well) B&G standing leg premix minus the ab section and subbing #3 from Core Max. I can't do much of the exercises in the ab section of B&G and I feel that I am wasting quality time just attempting to do the exercises and not beneifiting from them since I can't do them anyway!!! Make sense?

What are you all doing this weekend? Tonight after working out, we'll probably order dinner and then I told my boys I would buy them a slip n slide at Wal-Mart. Tomorrow is cleaning and baseball in the evening and Sunday, I cannot believe I told them I would, I'm taking the boys swimming. I HATE going anywhere in public where I have to wear a swimsuit. HATE IT!

Dana - trust me, I won't do the calf section. Hey, I went for a walk at lunch too. It's pretty yucky here, but there's a good stiff breeze that helped a bit. I couldn't walk fast though, or I'd definitely get sweaty. I just moseyed around, simply to get out of the office. Have fun swimming! (Just kidding) You poor woman - I know exactly how you feel. I'm going to do yard work and clean house. And hopefully work out! Keep your fingers crossed.

Hi Dana and Cuz!

I only have a minute. DH will be home in a few hours and I have some things I want to accomplish around the house before he arrives, but I saw that you both had been back and I wanted to say hello :*

Cuz, we have plenty of insulation so that's not it. I have no idea why it gets so warm upstairs, but I can hardly take it! I'm glad you got out of the office for lunch. I remember when I was still working that I almost never got a lunch break, and I'm sure that contributed to my burnout. I mean, you just need a respite from the drudgery once in a while!

Dana, my darlin' DH loves scrapple, too. It's the German in him ;-) . As for the cake -- he said it tasted awful! He actually vomited but my DB never knew that. I fell in love with him all over again that day. He did what I wouldn't do for my own brother!

I'm glad you enjoyed your walk. It's so hot here I can barely stand it. There's nothing like Ohio weather -- freezing cold in the winter, stifling hot in the summer, and usually no spring or fall. At least we had a pretty decent spring this year.

I have no idea if my DH will ever come to PA for a meeting. He's usually an invited speaker when he goes somewhere. Today, for instance, he gave the ground rounds lecture at some hospital in New Jersey. You just never know, but if we do make it there I will DEFINITELY hook up with you and Robin ;-) .

Alrighty, I better sign off. I'll see y'all later -- possibly not until Monday.

Oh Jen, I got your email. Sorry, I don't have time to answer but you're very cute! :*
