Cathlete
Good morning! http://www.freesmileys.org/smileys/char094.gif

You know what sounds good right now? A big creamy bowl of black pepper ice cream. I like mine drizzled with sweet hot beef gravy. http://www.freesmileys.org/smileys/eatdrink010.gif

But since I'm fresh out of both, I'm settling for a regular ol' frozen banana strawberry greens whey smoothie. I'm freezing, but it's good.

On today's rotation was -- Christi's Still Stepping! I got it out all excited......and........the DVD wouldn't play. Is that cruel or what? I tried and tried but it just wouldn't read the disc. But I was able to get it to read the other workout on the same disc, which was Step Heaven which I knew was too hard for me (especially right now), but I was all geared up to start, so I just went with it.

I started stepping and things were great! Until five minutes into it and Cham announced that she was not approving of my doing step.

She came onto the step, looked up at me and started howling at me LOL. I tried to do my twists and turns but Cham would have nothing of it. She tried to wrap herself around my legs. http://www.freesmileys.org/smileys/angry013.gif

When she saw that her howling and wrapping weren't doing the trick, she left,...to get her favorite toy and put that on the step and she sat right between me and the step and howled some more LMAO. http://www.freesmileys.org/smileys/angry016.gif I'm not kidding. It was really pretty cute. And I gotta love a gal who tries to make me stop doing cardio.

Step Heaven really was too confusing anyway (Cham must have known), so after about 20 minutes of it, I decided it would be best to put in Cardio Fix Kickboxing and did a 10-min thingy to round out my cardio to at least 30 minutes. I felt good....enough.

Now that I'm done with my smoothie, I'm off for a shower and then down to Mom's to hang out and do what people should do over the holidays. Nothing but watch TV.

Laters!

DANA - Good for us for doing our workouts! Yay!

>blueberry buckle coffee cake with the blueberries

Ain't no way I'd have missed out on that either. LOL at chicken & waffles! Kind of like bacon and pancakes, right?

>the dog out on the front porch which was really muddy and then Ralphie got mud everywhere!!!

http://bestsmileys.com/doh/1.gif

>The malls are open and so are most restaurants and department stores. Post office and banks, some places of business, etc are closed though. Everything is back to normal come tomorrow.

I had totally forgotten what it's like in the States. Nothing, nothing is open here. Even some convenience stores are closed. Restaurants, stores, everything!.......Everything is closed EXCEPT Starbucks LMAO. Mom and I went for a walk yesterday and that is the only thing plus a couple convenience stores that were open. Mom bought a scone and a cinnamon roll.

I was able to resist, but that's only because I had JUST worked out LOL. http://bestsmileys.com/marching/1.gif

JEN - Yay, so glad to hear you're feeling better and very good timing what with Chad coming back. Is he feeling all the way better, too?

>I DID take it easy Fri/Sat and for the most part Sunday(once I threw up

LMAO!

>they've got you right where they want you

I am completely slave to my squirrels, no doubt about it. They just make me so dang happy.

JENNIFER -

>Just woke up from my extended nap today

LOL! I wonder if that means that you woke up once, got up and then decided to go back to "extend" it, or if you opened your eyes, blinked a couple times and then decided to "extend" it.

Your sister has a snow blower! Wow, that must be nice to have enough space in your home to be able to keep a snow blower. And you with your shoveling snow and raking leaves..I just imagine a fabulous yard!

Okay, pokes, I'm off.

Have a nice day! :D

ROTFLMAO at Cham!!!!! Would you send her over here please? I have cardio on tap for tomor...er...today.

Um, I just -- yes JUST -- finished my Tuesday workout. Well I've always said I'm a procrastinator -- LMAO!! It was the first time I ever used my PS DVD :D . I liked it!

Okay, now that I'm all pumped up it's time for bed ;( :7

Have a nice day, Augie :*

G'night :* :* :*

P.S. OMG! Click on the Picture Trail link in the very first post of this thread! It's totally cute!!

I'm out of the shower and Mooch and Cham are fast asleep on my down jacket. :) (I leave it out for them for that purpose...I am slave.)

MICHELE!

>ROTFLMAO at Cham!!!!! Would you send her over here please? I have cardio on tap for tomor...er...today.

LMAO! I'm sure she'd be happy to disapprove of whatever cardio you have on your rotation!

I'm glad to see you're up on your rotation, woo hoo!

>P.S. OMG! Click on the Picture Trail link in the very first post of this thread! It's totally cute!!

LOL! How cute! I love the one with both paws up. That round bed looks pretty cozy, too. Love the extended foot action. :D

I'm hungry again. Love how working out does that to you. x(

Night night, Michele!

Night night August. Oh yeah, I'm going to the kitchen on my way to bed for a little snack :p :7

See you later tater :*

:9

What snack?

ETA : Your avatar cracks me up.

I'm eating an apple, whole grain crackers and a cube of cheese. :)

Happy New Year Haters!!

Not much to say this AM, gotta get ready for work. It'll be 3 long days.

Hope you all have a Great Day today!!!

Hi haters. I"m at work so I gotta make it quick.

Jen - Here is how one makes chicken and waffles, and it is not clean by any means. Roast a chicken, then use the meat from the chicken. Make gravy using the drippings from the roasted chicken. Make homemade waffles. Then you put some chicken on top of the waffles and put gravy on top of the chicken & waffles. It is actually VERY good. Glad to hear that you are feeling better.:)

August - last night Gabe and I were watching some show called Entertainment E from Japan. Have you been to the Yoyogi Park and seen Stitches the Clown? That is all that I was on about Tokoyo and also some crappy opera singer. HA! When we were watching the people in the park and Stitches Gabe insisted you were in the crowd and he saying, there she is, there she is, in the crowd. I let him go with it. You're cats are so silly. I don't even let Ralpie in the room when I'm working out b/c he gets obnoxious. Yeah for you for getting your workout done, even if it wasn't the one you had planned.

Hi Michele!!!! What's up with you this cold morning?

Jennifer - I saw on the news this morning that Detroit got 16 inches of snow. Did you get that much?

Tonight's workout will be Push/Pull. I started logging my points in WW and including my dinner tonight, I still have 4 points left and will get 3 points for doing my workout. So that leaves me with 7 points for snacks if I want.

I'll BBL during lunch.

http://bestsmileys.com/yawning/1.gif G'mornin'

Oh man, I've gotta quit working out at 11:30 PMish -- LMAO!!

My New Years resolution is to be a real go getter -- you know -- no more procrastinating! http://bestsmileys.com/yawning/4.gif

But seriously -- I'm getting so lazy in my old age. Maybe I need a job! http://smileydatabase.com/smilies/321.gif

Nah -- that's crazy talk :p

I'll think of somethin'!

So today is a cardio day but I haven't yet decided what I'm going to do. My plan is to work out BEFORE 4 PM. I know what you're thinking -- that I'm procrastinating -- but...but...it's sure as hell better than 11:30 PMish!

My ultimate goal is to get my workouts done IN THE MORNING, but I'll have to work up to that slowly :p

Oh hey -- aint' it cute the way we're all working out and cleaning up our diets!? :p

Augie - You win for the most creative use of smilies! http://bestsmileys.com/tropheys/3.gif

>You know what sounds good right now? A big creamy bowl of black pepper ice cream.

ROTFLMAO!! Our fav restaurant had a prefix menu on NYE and they served up a scoop of fig ice cream for dessert. It was awesome!! I'd never had fig ice cream before -- indeed, I never HEARD of fig ice cream -- but it was really yummy! It was basically vanilla ice cream with chunks of fig in it. I'm quite certain that it was much better than black pepper ice cream -- LMAO! So, did you at least try it? Did it have like big hulking black peppercorns in it, or little black specks that you might mistake for real vanilla? :p

Jennifer - I'm sorry things haven't been going better for you in the dating department, but you have a fantastic attitude! Being content and happy in your own right is so important, and a very appealing trait ;)! I was so proud of my sister over the holidays. She was in a great deal of personal pain but wore a smile on her face and remained upbeat despite her depression and sadness. I have such a deep respect for her -- and for YOU for bearing up under all the strain that you've had to endure. You've had a lot on your plate and you've dealt with it with great courage and character!!

Jen - I'm so glad you're feeling better! It sounds like you had one heck of a bad cold! Our weather is abysmal, too. It was really windy NYE, then on NYD the temp dropped and it began to snow. It was 11 degrees this morning and we have about 3" of snow on the ground.

I'm sitting here in my nice warm house, sipping coffee, looking out the window, and watching a man plow out my driveway http://www.millan.net/minimations/smileys/gotcha.gif

Poor Chad -- he just got home and he has to turn around and make a long drive in this awful weather to take his granny home. My word! He's as close to a saint as I've ever not met -- lol!!!

Take it easy, Jen, and ease back into your workouts -- K?

Dana - My mouth is watering over your blueberry buckle!! Please post the recipe when you get a chance. I'm so proud of you, young lady, for developing a plan and jumping right in!

WOO HOO!! Dana has points in the bank!! http://www.millan.net/minimations/smileys/queen.gif

Robin! - Ladies, say hello to the newest CC convert! IMHO CC is WAY better than iTrain, although some of the iClimbs are pretty good. Truth be told, I rarely use my iClimbs. Maybe the iCycles are better than the iClimbs, but Keith just doesn't speak to me like Coach Sean does.

Alrighty -- here I go! I'm going to get a few phone calls out of the way, run some errands (bank, groceries, etc), then do my workout. I'll report back as soon as I do that pesky cardio -- before 4 PM -- yep, that's what I'm doin' :*

Hi Michele. Seriously, are you working out that late at night? You're nuts! :) I too really want to do morning workouts but I've tried in the past and failed. It is so hard to drag my butt outta bed at 4:00. I'll have to look in my cookbook for the recipe b/c I can't remember it although I've made it many times.

Listen to this weirdness. This morning when I came into work there was a can of jellied cranberry sauce on my desk. It was on my desk, right next to my coffee cup. So far nobody has admitted to putting it there. Then I reached over for a tissue and they're gone. I hadn't noticed earlier but the cranberry sauce was in the spot where the tissues were. The last day that we all were at work was on the 21st and there wasn't really anyone in here during break, except for the custodians (I think). Very odd.

Tomorrow night Gabe & I are supposed to start his behavior classes at the hospital but now I"m not so sure about it. I figured it out and it is going to cost me $400!!!! I think we'll go to the first class, maybe I calculated it wrong?????? It is supposed to be 8 classes.

WTH is everyone?????

Hey Dana!

I know, it's crazy, but I really did work out that late...and I've done that many times before

It's just that I don't like to work out -- even work outs I like I don't REALLY like -- ya know what I mean? It's just not my idea of a really good time. Now if I could train myself to LOVE working out -- that would be the answer!

I wasn't thinking I'd work out at 4 AM. 10 -- 10 AM would be good -- LMAO!!

Here's an inspirational quote from Sherlock Holmes that you might find helpful:

"There can be no question, my dear Watson, of the value of exercise before breakfast."

You know, I like this quote so much that I'm going to put it in my signature line!

>This morning when I came into work there was a can of jellied cranberry sauce on my desk. It was on my desk, right next to my coffee cup. So far nobody has admitted to putting it there. "Come, Watson, come! The game is afoot." LMAO!

$400 per class or for the whole course? I guess just see what you think after the first class and go from there. Maybe they have some sort of a payment plan or sliding scale. If you can't afford it but feel you need it, I would talk to them and see if they are willing to work something out for you. Good luck and I'll pray on it for you. :*

It is $25/week, per person. So it will be $50 a week for the 8-weeks. You pay by the week. I'm going to go tomorrow and see if it will be beneficial. Since I am so very anti-meds we were referred to these classes. We have been on the waiting list since November.

10:00 am sounds like a plan. Wish I could workout at 10:00am. Yesterday I did my workout at noon which was just perfect!!!

Tonight will probably be around 7:00 ish. I"m making porkchops in foil for dinner tonight. Saw them in a cook book. You take a porkchop, a potato, an ear of corn and season with butter, onion and salt/pepper and bake for an hour. I may be able to use the time that they are baking to get my workout done. Push/Pull is only 45 minutes.

Can you tell that I don't feel like being at work? I'm really starting to get rather sleepy.

WOO HOO!!! I did it! I'm done! I started my workout at about 3:30 and I was finished by about 4:15. Oh man, it feels so freaking good to have it out.of.the.way!! I'm going to do a little stretch, jump in the shower, and then the rest of the evening is mine to do with as I please :D

http://www.freesmileys.org/smileys/dance009.gif http://www.freesmileys.org/smileys/dance011.gif http://www.freesmileys.org/smileys/dance001.gif http://www.freesmileys.org/smileys/dance015.gif http://www.freesmileys.org/smileys/dance017.gif

Dana, I hope everything works out with that class. I remember when you first mentioned it and it struck me then as a good idea. I agree that meds should be a last resort. It's so easy to pop a pill these days, and you wouldn't believe the parents who would rather do that than put forth any effort on their own part. I commend you for trying to find other alternatives!! You're a wonderful and loving parent, and that's the first step in the road to treatment.

Your dinner sounds absolutely wonderful! I may have to try that. Any meal that doesn't require pot scrubbing is always of interest to me :p

Alright then -- it's off to stretch and shower, and veg out :D :D :D

Have a wonderful evening, everybody! I might check back later to see if anyone is around:*

Hello Haters.

Thank you, Michele, for your encouragement. I wish my work attitude would be as good as my dating one. It might be post Holiday blues or just plain fed up with work. My supervisor is basically gone emotionally, phsyically she's there so I had a few surprises for me today.
Our snow only ended up being about 4-6 inches, it got bigger as it hit Detroit and the New England areas.
Time to burn some stress, anxiety, etc. with LowMax tonight. Thanks for allowing me to vent.
