Calling all sick, PMSing or otherwise, bodyaching HATERS!

Taking a sicko day (feeling better, but taking one anyway ;-) )

So I thought the least I could do is start today's thread.

I'm glad to hear that Jen took some rest.

And that Jennifer has sugar in the ridges of her boot for when she runs out.

:)

Later!!

Hello Haters.

Glad you're feeling better, Auggie. What did the squirrels do during your illness? Mine usually stay with me.

The sugar is finally gone!!!

Next weekend s/b a quiet one, the following will be with family.

Have a Great Day!

Here!!

Accept that today is Dec 10 so I'm gonna start a new thread, K!?

Auggie must've posted "Dec 9" while in a feverish stupor -- :p :7

RE: HATE - Dec 10

Ack! I wrote the 9th!! Can I change it? I'll try.....

Must have been the fever that I didn't have. :D

I wore a cold mask http://www.goken.com/nagae/category/11.htm to bed both last night and the night before (it keeps the throat moist and warm - fantastic for sore throats)....and it drove both Mooch and Cham away from the bed LMAO. Poor sick me, sleeping all alone. It's no wonder I slept poorly.

I got out of my pjs into outdoors pjs to go have Thai food with Mom. Now I'm back in my indoors pjs with the computer on my lap and Mooch snoozing away by my side all cozy.

I do feel better, thank goodness. Just a teeny bit of throat weirdness, but I think I'll sleep without a mask tonight. :)

ETA : Nope, the date change didn't work. :-(

ETA : Oh! Michele's starting a new thread! Woo hoo! Off I go!

ETA : Wait. I'm confused. How did it get to be the 10th? My last post was the 8th? Was there no thread yesterday?

And is Michele still working on the new thread? Who am I? :p

RE: HATE - Dec 10

Hehehehe

I haven't started the new thread yet...I hate starting threads so lets just go with this one :p

Oh! I want one of those throat mask thingys. I've been on the verge of a cold for weeks but it never fully developed. I have a bit of a scratchy throat and some sniffles. I wish the $&%* cold would either come or go -- I hate being betwixt :p

I need coffee NOW -- I'll BRB to tell you about my weekend.:)

ETA that when I said I wanted one of those cold masks I hadn't actually clicked on your link. So, I just tried to go to that website and all I see is a bunch of question marks -- literally all I see is this ??????? -- LMAO!! . It must be a Japanese website.

RE: HATE - Dec 10

Bahahaa, I kept looking for your new thread when all of a sudden I realized the last name on the Dec 9 thread was yours!

Oooooh, coffee. :9

Yeah, that link is to a Japanese site, but you can see the mask there. Do they totally not have those in the States? I only remember ever seeing them when Mt. St. Helens erupted LOL.

RE: HATE - Dec 10

So I'm back with my coffee and ready to tell you about my weekend http://www.freesmileys.org/smileys/eatdrink013.gif

Do y'all remember awhile back when DH went to Australia and I said we were planning a little getaway trip for our anniversary when he got back? Well, we never did that x( . And it's no secret that life around here has been damned depressing lately what with my sister's divorce and my brother having problems. So I'd had enough of this crap and I told my DH that he and I HAVE TO have some fun during the holidays, for crying out loud http://www.freesmileys.org/smileys/eatdrink010.gif

So we got up early yesterday and went out for breakfast, then we hit the road for Columbus, Ohio -- the city where we met and got married. First we went to Easton Town Center. I wanted to look for shoes so we headed straight to Nordstrom's. DH bought a bunch of stuff for himself and, as usual, I couldn't find a thing I wanted -- irked me to no end http://www.freesmileys.org/smileys/angry041.gif ! He supposedly hates to shop but he always buys waaaaay more than I do http://www.freesmileys.org/smileys/rolleyes006.gif . I was looking for a pair of red shoes with a wedge heel (I can't wear those spike things) to wear with a pair of black pants. Anyway, I digress...

After my failed shopping attempt we went here http://www.worthington.org/about/orangejohnson.cfm and had an absolutely lovely time. They had a Christmas open house complete with an orchestra playing period music. The docents and members of the orchestra were dressed in period costume. A woman was making apple fritters and biscuits in the kitchen fireplace. I had never actually tasted food cooked in a fireplace before and it was pretty good! Finally, we wrapped up the day by visiting with DH's parents. Johnny was very happy to see us...well...mostly he was anxious to be fed -- LMAO!

Next up on our "Holiday Fun Fest" is a trip to another city and another historic-home-turned-museum. I'll tell you all about it once we've actually been there.

So, now I need to find shoes! I guess I'll look online because I sure haven't had any luck in the stores x(

>Yeah, that link is to a Japanese site, but you can see the mask there. Do they totally not have those in the States? I only remember ever seeing them when Mt. St. Helens erupted LOL.

LMAO!!

P.S. DH bought 2 pairs of pants, 2 shirts, socks, and 3 Christmas themed neckties. Me? I got nothin http://www.freesmileys.org/smileys/angry030.gif

RE: HATE - Dec 10

Jeez your coffee took a long time! I've been checking for your post every five minutes!

http://www.freesmileys.org/smileys/love060.gif

Oh, what a romantic time you and your DH had this weekend! That's so wonderful! Ooh, fresh apple fritters from a fireplace! Those must have been yum!

I've only had one thing baked in a fireplace : sweet potatoes. LMAO. And that was just because the electricity went out one winter when I was little.

How nice that you guys are planning some fun times!

>red shoes with a wedge heel

Ooh, I hope you find those. I love wedge heels, too.

I wrote up this big post and then promptly lost my internet connection x(. Thankfully I was able to cut and paste it into a word document so I wouldn't have to start all over again.

To.die.for! :9

You haven't mentioned the sweet potato man in ages. When was the last time you had to don your bra and run after him!? LMAO!!!

>How nice that you guys are planning some fun times!

Yeah, and it's about time. All he does is work...work...work! We rarely go anywhere accept an occasional restaurant and to visit his folks. We need to have some FUN once in awhile.

>>red shoes with a wedge heel

>Ooh, I hope you find those. I love wedge heels, too.

Yeah, I have a pair of black jeans with thin silver pinstripes -- they're kind of dressy -- and I'd love to have a pair of red shoes to wear with them. AND those jeans were too tight up until about 3 or 4 days ago ;) . I'm so excited that I can get back into them http://www.freesmileys.org/smileys/dance017.gif

>I wrote up this big post and then promptly lost my internet connection x(. Thankfully I was able to cut and paste it into a word document so I wouldn't have to start all over again.

That really sucks.

I always write my long posts into an email and then copy paste it onto the forums.

Anyway, thank goodness you were able to salvage it.

>You haven't mentioned the sweet potato man in ages. When was the last time you had to don your bra and run after him!? LMAO!!!

One only runs after the sweet potato man braless once in a lifetime. http://www.freesmileys.org/smileys/angry043.gif

>I have a pair of black jeans with thin silver pinstripes

OMG, I want them. Those sound great.

>AND those jeans were too tight up until about 3 or 4 days ago ;) . I'm so excited that I can get back into them

THAT....THAT is so FANTASTIC, Michele!! FANTASTIC!!! It's inspiring to hear that hard work really does pay off!

RE: HATE - Dec 10

I'm pretty proud of myself for sticking with all this friggin exercise. I missed my workout yesterday because we left early and got home late, so I have to make sure I do it today.

Are you working out, young lady!?

So Augie Doggie, do you have any plans for Christmas?

Will you go shopping with me -- online at Zappos? I need EXPENSIVE red shoes...or black...but black would be kind of boring, don't cha think?

ETA I can't wear cheap shoes because they always hurt my feet. ;) x(

>I'm pretty proud of myself for sticking with all this friggin exercise. I missed my workout yesterday because we left early and got home late, so I have to make sure I do it today.

Ah, that brings back such nostalgic feelings for me. http://www.freesmileys.org/smileys/love014.gif

>Are you working out, young lady!?

Yes, things are working out very well, thanks.

http://bestsmileys.com/paranoid/3.gif

Hey, fresh years are made for fresh starts. Wouldn't want to ruin it, now would I?

>So Augie Doggie, do you have any plans for Christmas?

I had my eyes set on going to a particular Italian restaurant that only takes reservations one month in advance. So on November 24th, at 10:55am I called. The man was very apologetic and told me that he couldn't start taking reservations until 11am on the dot.

So I waited a few minutes and called back.

For 40 minutes.

And got wait-listed. http://www.freesmileys.org/smileys/shocked008.gif

>Will you go shopping with me -- online

I would love to, but I'm afraid I have a fear of online shopping for things that I put on my body. Plus, there's no cool free refund no shipping thing over here.

Have you found anything that interests you and your wallet yet?

ETA : LMAO, as soon as I posted, a HUGE photo of shoes came up. Look harder. Red. Red. Sexy and red.

RE: HATE - Dec 10

Oh man, I hope you can get a reservation at that restaurant. We always have an Italian feast for Christmas and Easter :9 . I'm hoping against all hope that my sister will host Christmas dinner this year. My SIL does a nice job but she REALLY gets on my nerves. She ALWAYS tries to start up a big religious and/or political debate, and it's so unpleasant. I kind of told her off last year -- but in a nice way :p

I can't find anything in red that I like. There's some really nice styles in patent leather, but I hate shiny shoes. Patent leather always looks soooooooo...plastic or something http://www.freesmileys.org/smileys/basic/mellow.gif

So, what kind of rotation are you planning for after the New Year :p

I just saw your post -- g'night Augie! I'll see you in your morning :*

RE: HATE - Dec 10

Michele - I am thinking of getting DH some cardio coach downloads for part of his Christmas gift. Any favorites? You can use them for running or other cardio machines, right?

RE: HATE - Dec 10

Hi Diane!!

Oh yes, Cardio coach workouts are great for any cardio machine as well as for outdoor running or walking. There's about 8 or 9 workouts in total, and I'm not sure I could narrow it down to one or two. I would go with #2 for short workouts. Volumes 4 and 5 are great -- #4 is about 50 minutes long including the stretch, and #5 is just over an hour -- these are probably my favorites of the lot. Volume 7 just came out and it's really good, too. It's geared more for runners and it really kicks your butt. You can listen to clips on his website and they give you a pretty good feel for what the workouts are like.

What I love about CC is, first of all, the customer service is fantastic, and, unlike iTrain, his workouts are complete with a warm up and cool down built right in. He doesn't include a stretch in every workout but it's easy to tack one on. He uses original music, too. It's not top 40 or anything like that. It reminds me of movie music :p . You should try one and see what you think. Let me know which one(s) you decide to get.

RE: HATE - Dec 10

Haven't been able to read anything above so... http://bestsmileys.com/signs11/24.gif. Hello to everyone!

I am feeling better today though so that is good- of course it helped that Chad came over last night and gave me a back rub and rubbed by back & head until I feel asleep. He is too nice to me! http://smileydatabase.com/smilies/468.gif

He called today on his way down to St.Louis to have his shoulder checked on but haven't heard from him after his appointment yet but I'll keep you posted on how it's doing.

Michele- What brand of shoe is that?

August- You still sleeping?

Okay, I'll BBL! http://bestsmileys.com/signs7/16.gif

RE: HATE - Dec 10

Hi Jen!

I just ordered those shoes :) . They're Stuart Weitzman. I looked and looked for red shoes and I couldn't find any that I liked :-( .

I'm glad you're feeling better. That Chad is so sweet :+

I'll see y'all later :*
