RE: HATE - Dec 10
So I'm back with my coffee and ready to tell you about my weekend

Do y'all remember awhile back when DH went to Australia and I said we were planning a little getaway trip for our anniversary when he got back? Well, we never did that x( . And it's no secret that life around here has been damned depressing lately what with my sister's divorce and my brother having problems. So I'd had enough of this crap and I told my DH that he and I HAVE TO have some fun during the holidays, for crying out loud

So we got up early yesterday and went out for breakfast, then we hit the road for Columbus, Ohio -- the city where we met and got married. First we went to Easton Town Center. I wanted to look for shoes so we headed straight to Nordstrom's. DH bought a bunch of stuff for himself and, as usual, I couldn't find a thing I wanted -- irked me to no end
http://www.freesmileys.org/smileys/angry041.gif ! He supposedly hates to shop but he always buys waaaaay more than I do
http://www.freesmileys.org/smileys/rolleyes006.gif . I was looking for a pair of red shoes with a wedge heel (I can't wear those spike things) to wear with a pair of black pants. Anyway, I digress...
After my failed shopping attempt we went here
http://www.worthington.org/about/orangejohnson.cfm and had an absolutely lovely time. They had a Christmas open house complete with an orchestra playing period music. The docents and members of the orchestra were dressed in period costume. A woman was making apple fritters and biscuits in the kitchen fireplace. I had never actually tasted food cooked in a fireplace before and it was pretty good! Finally, we wrapped up the day by visiting with DH's parents. Johnny was very happy to see us...well...mostly he was anxious to be fed -- LMAO!
Next up on our "Holiday Fun Fest" is a trip to another city and another historic-home-turned-museum. I'll tell you all about it once we've actually been there.
So, now I need to find shoes! I guess I'll look online because I sure haven't had any luck in the stores x(
>Yeah, that link is to a Japanese site, but you can see the mask there. Do they totally not have those in the States? I only remember ever seeing them when Mt. St. Helens erupted LOL.
LMAO!!
P.S. DH bought 2 pairs of pants, 2 shirts, socks, and 3 Christmas themed neckties. Me? I got nothin
