HATE - Dec 21

August

Cathlete
Morning!

Mooch and Cham woke me up both being very frisky this morning. I think it's because they're moist.

http://www.freesmileys.org/smileys/gen166.gif

Mooch found a teeny tiny bug and he was just so happy to be "hunting" it. It was so adorable and once he lost site of it, I totally wanted to go outside and catch some bugs to put in my apartment for him. Maybe I can take him to Michele's next year when her ant family come back from holiday.

Anyway, I, too, being moist, am feeling very frisky. Henceforth, for today's post, I shall give completely frisky responses.

http://www.freesmileys.org/smileys/gen156.gif

(As I write this, Mooch is on the window sill trying to find another bug.)

MICHELE -

>Oh man, I feel awful, and I can't believe you're making me start this thread again!

LOL. Oh, but that's awful that the cold got you. Didn't you wear your cold mask like I told you?

http://www.freesmileys.org/smileys/gen017.gif

>My throat is so sore, I have a headache and a runny nose and goopy eyes. And I haven't had any brekkie yet.

I don't know if that would make for a very good catch phrase for any cold medicine company. If you're going to pitch it though, you might leave out the goopy eyes bit.

Thankfully you have lots of relatives to whom you can give your bad germs. Because I heard a doctor say once that if you give someone else the bad germs, they totally leave your body. http://www.freesmileys.org/smileys/gen121.gif

OMG, look at your AVATAR! LMAO!

>August, I think you need to buy a few of those "the Winter Outfit" and send them airmail to the rest of us Haters

No kidding! And I'd include a special face mask, too.

http://www.freesmileys.org/smileys/gen017.gif

>I just take it to the post office, walk up to the window and say, "Here, this needs to go to Japan". Then I hand over a credit card.

You pay for postage with a credit card? Rub it in why don't you.

>Dana, I'm sure August won't mind paying the postage due -- ROTFLMAO!!!

http://www.freesmileys.org/smileys/gen149.gif

DANA -

>Moist like a fresh piece of bread!!! HAHAHAHHA!!!!!

Yeah, well with the lack of exercise I've been doing lately, you ain't far off! LOL.

http://www.freesmileys.org/smileys/gen147.gif

>I need to see the winter outfit. Where did you buy it from?

My The Winter Outfit was completed by several select brands and cannot be bought. But it's really more an outfit to be worn, rather than seen.

>Give me link so I can check it out.

Did your cold make you a Russian spy? Hee hee. If you'd have worn a mask like I told you....

http://www.freesmileys.org/smileys/gen017.gif

I'm sorry to hear about your co-worker. That must suck, for her especially (if it's for attention or not). I hope she'll be able to get help to solve her trouble.

>I put a regular old 41 cent stamp on Aug's Christmas Card. So . . if you don't get it, I really did mail it out. Really I did.

LMAO,

JEN - You didn't wear your mask either?!

http://www.freesmileys.org/smileys/gen017.gif

>August, I did get my "back rub" last night!!!!!!!

Oh sure, rub it in why don't you.

>shipping charges to Japan:

http://www.freesmileys.org/smileys/gen123.gif

JENNIFER - Hi there, thanks, I'm here! I got caught up in my moisture LOL. Actually, my uncle was in town yesterday so I was dressed LOL. I'll be sending good vibes for your travel days! I'm sure you'll have a fantastic birthday weekend!

Okay, I have to get dressed again now as I'm off to the hospital. The hospital people know us now, so I'll walk up to the counter and not have to say anything...not that I don't greet the person LOL, I mean that I don't have to explain what we're there for. Saves me two seconds of air time LOL.

LATER! http://www.freesmileys.org/smileys/gen127.gif

PS I love my humidifier. I have not turned it off since the moment I plugged it in and I have sucked up several liters of water LOL.

Augie Doggie is here! http://www.freesmileys.org/smileys/ad/dog.gif

Just as I'm going to bed -- LMAO!

Oh hey, I pay for everything with a credit card -- EVERYTHING http://www.freesmileys.org/smileys/gen155.gif . If I need a pack of chewing gum I whip out my credit card. A bottle of water -- charge it! A pumpkin spice donut from Tim Hortons -- no problem, here's my American Express Card, thank you very much.

You really outta get one, Aug :p . There must be some way you can establish credit in Japan. Have you tried to get one from the USA? You really should http://www.freesmileys.org/smileys/gen017.gif . Bank of America gives them to illegal aliens, for crying out loud! Seriously, they do. http://www.freesmileys.org/smileys/alien004.gif

Alrighty, it's off to bed I go. I'm still feeling icky and that's not a good thing. I really can't afford to be sick right now. G'night everyone. I'll do personals in the morning, I promise.

I'm HO--ME!

I go out of town tomorrow. http://www.freesmileys.org/smileys/gen130.gif

Wow, chewing gum on a credit card! It's...it's but a dream for little August! A DREAM!

>A bottle of water -- charge it! A pumpkin spice donut from Tim Hortons -- no problem, here's my American Express Card, thank you very much.

LMAO. Being that I've never used a credit card in my life before, the thought of it totally scares me...and thrills me....but that's probably mostly because I can't get one.

Jennifer - you might not know why I can't get a credit card...and it's better left that way. LOL. No, no, I can't get a credit card because I'm a self-employed foreigner living overseas and the Japanese credit card places are all sticklers and twits ;) .

>Bank of America gives them to illegal aliens, for crying out loud! Seriously, they do.

LMAO!! Actually, my brother did a bunch of looking around for what credit card (from America) would be good for me (I asked for that for my birthday, honest to god, LOL) and I have the info - I just have to apply now. I don't know what's keeping me. I think it's that he said we could do it together and we just haven't had time to sit at a computer to try it out.

Anyway, I hope you're having a good sleep and are feeling better.

That goes for the rest of youse, too!!

I'm going to make myself some tea and enjoy my moisture now. :D

ETA : My Mom wants a humidifier now. :D

August, just reading your posts makes me tired. I CANNOT keep up with your wit and humor. And the horse smilie? ROFLMAO!!! I'm glad to hear you are moist and frisky. And credit cards? The work of the devil. Along with ATMs. They both make it way to easy to spend. Just ask my DH (after he gets all the bills from Christmas.)

Michele, I'm sorry you aren't feeling well. Hope it all clears up quickly. I heard pumpkin spice donuts are good for that. So far (knock on wood), we are all relatively healthy.

Hi Dana, Jen and Jennifer. I have to go read the last couple day's threads to see what's up with all of you. I'll try to get back later.

Hiya, Robin!

>And credit cards? The work of the devil.

Let me burn! Let me burrrrn!!

:D

LOL about your DH.

Thanks, Everyone.
Yes, it's my birthday today.
Called my Mom last night and most everyone is home for the Holiday.
Morgan loves my brother Don, whom she never met before. Morgan is 18 months and Don is her Uncle. She's in NY and he's in TX.
And, I will take all the prayers and vibes for safe traveling this weekend. Rain on Sat and snow showers on Sunday.
I just posted a thread to Cathe, keep it bumped up so she can read it. Thanks.

After work, during my packing party with the boys, I will check back in and be back on Sunday night.

Morning haters.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY JENNIFER!!! Sorry but I don't have the cute little birthday smilies like August does. :+ Have a safe trip and a great time!

Aug - here in the States we do not have the face mask doo-dad that you are referring to. Isn't that the same look that Michael Jackson was sporting a few years ago? The way that I'm feeling I really could use one. Every morning I wake up feeling poopier then the day before. I'm giving it ONE more week and then I may, note may, call the doctor. I really HATE going to the doctor. It is a major PIA. First I call to make the appt and I"m on hold for at least 10 min. First you call in, then have to choose from the menu why you are calling, then you are transferred to the receptionist who then transfers you to the department you are trying to make the appt with. Then after all of that, you're on hold. That alone makes anyone not want to go to the dr. Then once you get there try finding a parking spot, standing in the long line to check in and then waiting. And once your name is called it is like, alright it is my turn but they are really just fooling you b/c then you sit in waiting in the room for the doc for at least 15 more minutes. NOT WORTH IT!!!!!!!!

Michele -thank you so much for the card. It is beautiful. Where do you get your cards? How are you feeling today?

Robin - hi! You're lucky that you haven't gotten this dreaded cold. How is Greyor doing? Are you making a feast for Christmas?

Jen - how are you today? I also got your card yesterday. Thanks!

Today is my last day of work until Jan 2. YIPPEE!!!! Last night I had to bake more Christmas cookies for Gabe's party today. His choices were pretzels, chips or cookies and of course he wanted to bring in sugar cookies and he ate all the ones that I made. I totally forgot that Gannon was also having his party and I signed him up to bring cheese, which I forgot in the frige.

My DH is such an idiot. We got our electric bill yesterday and it was about $30 more then usual and he is trying to say it is from me baking Christmas cookies. Yeah right. Whoever heard of such a thing. I honestly think that they hike it up at Christmas time b/c of all the lights that people put up. But, this year we didn't put any lights up outside.

I'll check back later. I have just a bit of work today that I want to finish before I go on break.

JENNIFER - Hiya, birthday girl! Glad to hear that your birthday is off to a good start. I'm sure you'll have a wonderful weekend!

DANA - No masks! That sucks! And it sucks that your cold has gotten to the point where you think you may even have to go wait in the awful doctor's office. I've been taking my mom to the hospital for shots 3x a week, and lemme tell you, I know the bummer of waiting in the lobby forever (although I must admit, it's quite a good place to play Nintendo DS Lite LOL). I hope you were able to disperse some of those bad germs into the cookies you made so that you can give your germs to someone else and then you'll be all better. ;)

Mmm. Sugar cookies.

Well I just caved and made a dr appt. I go today at 11:50. What a way to spend my lunch. Maybe if I'm sick enough I'll get some meds and feel all better.

Hiya Haters!!

DANA - I just saw your post about making an appointment with the doctor. OMG I sure hope he can fix whatever ails you. You do too much, young lady. You need a day or two where you can REST. Why don't you hire a sitter to watch your kids for a couple of days so you can sleep and baby yourself for a day or 2. I'm serious!!!

I feel about the same as I did yesterday. I don't have a fever or anything -- just a cold. The bad thing is, once I get a cold, I tend to have it for WEEKS ;(

AUGUST - Your smilie talk made me laugh out loud last night!! You are pretty creative when it comes to smilie use ;) .

You must sit down with your bro over Christmas and fill out your credit application http://www.freesmileys.org/smileys/gen017.gif

Don't let Robin scare you -- LMAO!! Credit cards aren't the work of the devil, they're a gift from God to those who've been good http://bestsmileys.com/angles/6.gif

Actually, I've been paying for everything with a credit card for about 15 years now and I can't imagine going back to using cash or writing checks. What does cash look like -- LMAO!! I am totally anal about it, though. I constantly check my credit card balance online and I don't buy anything if I can't pay the bill. I've never EVER carried a balance over on my card. I pay the whole thing off in full every month. It was scary at first, but I've been handling my finances this way for so long now that I'm used to it and I know what my limits are. And it didn't tempt me to go crazy buying stuff. If anything, it's made me acutely aware of my spending habits because it generates a record of every penny spent ;) . This is THE one area where I'm disciplined, though. I'm in charge of our finances so I have a thorough understanding of what we have and what we can afford. The benefits to using a credit card FAR outweigh the drawbacks, IMHO.

Robin is right about debit cards, though. Those are from Satan -- LMAO! Really, I cannot believe anyone would give direct access to their checking account to anyone! Debit cards are not secure in any way. And your purchases aren't insured like with a credit card.

Alright, Credit Card 101 class is dismissed.

Oh! My water softener man just pulled into my driveway. I'll BB as soon as he leaves. :*

>credit cards aren't the work of the devil, they're a gift from God

LMAO!

Wow, how great that would be to walk around with just a credit card and not a wallet. I am like the Queen of Small Change. I LOVE to use up all the change in my wallet so that it's empty. Nothing feels as good as having the exact change!

That sounds so pitiful LOL.

I think I would be good with a credit card. I'd love paying in full, too.

I've no idea what a debit card is, but it sounds totally scary.

All right. I've got to get to bed. Depending on what time I wake up, I might not be able to post until Monday so you guys BE GOOD!

:D

But if I can't sleep I'll be back later.

:7

Merry Christmas everyone!

And Happy Birthday Jennifer.

We are leaving town today for our first of several Christmas celebrations so I wanted to say Merry Christmas to everyone before we leave. I have been out of sorts lately with breastfeeding issues so sorry I haven't been by. I met with a lactation consultant yesterday and I think we came up with a good plan and I think things are getting better. Apparently I make too much milk and it comes out too fast so it is like Ella is drinking off of a fire hose. So of course she is not thrilled about that.

Anyway, also wanted to do some gratuitous picture sharing :)

And of course you know I love the crying shots. Tummy time is no fun.

Merry Christmas Diane!! Thank you for the pictures!! Ella is so cute -- I love the last picture where she's sticking her lower lip out -- HA! She's practicing the pouty look -- LMAO!! I'm glad the lactation consultant has been able to help you and good luck with that!

Fellow haters -- I need to skedaddle. I'm sorry I didn't make it back to complete personals, but I've got to get over to my IL's now. There's a buzz of activity going on over there and I need to help out. I'll BBL this afternoon or tonight.

Dana, feel better! :*

Jennifer -- be safe in your travels! :*

Jen -- what you up to!? :*

Robin - I'm on the lookout for yummy goodness :*

Augie - sleep tight :*

Very quick drive by check- in for me... http://smileydatabase.com/s/97.gif
I am on a conference call right now just listening... http://smileydatabase.com/s/90.gif

Chad came over last night for a while, didn't do much- just hung out. Probably won't get to see him much in the next week or so- his grandma is staying with him Monday night on and then they & the boys are going to his mom's in KC either the 27th or 28th and probably won't be back until the 1st... so, we'll probably see each other a little Sunday, maybe Monday before we both leave town, then maybe for an hour or so Wednesday... but not sure.

Ran out this morning to fill up the Jeep with gas, mail a couple packages- just returns, not gifts ;-), and then ran into PetsMart for kitty Christmas gifts. Plan on working until about 4:30 today then heading home for a few before going to meet Mom & Diana for dinner at 6. I will try to check back in either before or after dinner.

Jennifer- HAPPY B-DAY!!!!! http://smileydatabase.com/s/709.gif

Diane- Ella is so darn cute!!!

Dana- Hope you feel better soon. :*

Robin, Michele, August- HIYA!!!

Hi Jen!!!!

Diane - Your little Ella is so gorgeous. I love the last pic too. Have a very Merry Christmas and safe travels.

Just got back from the dr. Nothing is wrong w/me - just the common cold and was told to take over the counter meds. I My I was there for like 50 minutes!!!

OK, I'm gonna ty to get some work done for the next few hours.

Toodles!!!

Hello Haters.

Michele_glad you went to the doctor. It's better that you take some meds and get some rest.

Jen-Have a Happy Holiday. You've got yourself a good man.

Diane-Miss Ella is adorable. Does she know she's a Hater too? And, has all these Aunts across the country and globe?

Starting to pack and get ready for Sat.. Winter Storm watch is posted already, which might affect one half my trip up north and some of the most remote areas.

For my Birthday, my Supervisor and co-workers got me Panera Bread Bagels, and cash for the bar on Sat. night or just driving money.

BBL.

Hi Jennifer!

It sounds like you had a nice birthday. Money...I love money gifts 'cause then you can get whatever you want.

Oh hey, that was DANA who went to the doctor -- not me. Dana's been under the weather lately, too. I feel so bad for her because she has two young, rambunctious boys to care for on top of a full time job. I don't know when that girl ever gets to rest!!

Dana - I'm glad you went to the doctor. Now here's my prescription; hire a sitter for 2 days and get some rest -- I mean it!!

Jen - what are you gonna do for Christmas? Are you going to your mom's? You're gonna miss Chad -- I know I will :p

Augie - I'm LMAO about your mom wanting a humidifier!! So did you run out and get her one? Are you all nice and moist? I think our humidity level is set at about 40% or 45% and that seems adequate. When we set it higher we get too much moisture and condensation forms on our windows http://www.freesmileys.org/smileys/chores008.gif

Robin - are you off for the weekend? Do you have to work Christmas Eve or day? Gosh, I hope not! Will Tristan be coming home for Christmas? I still didn't get a package but I'm sure it will come tomorrow. Either that, or one of my neighbors got it and kept it. I wouldn't be the least bit surprised -- x(

I'm in the middle of Mt Washmore http://www.freesmileys.org/smileys/chores003.gif , and I have a few Christmas decorations I want to put out. I didn't want to decorate my family room until after the carpet was installed so I need to do it tonight. DH and I will be visiting with damily all weekend so I may not make it back here. Just in case I don't, I wish each of you a very Merry Christmas. You guys are THE BEST!!
