YESTERDAY WAS WEIGHTS AND STEADY STATE. For cardio, I chose the 20 min premix from Tracey' Kickbox Challenge

Supersets 3x12 for all
1-lunge 20's
row20's
gliding disc leg curl
alt chest press on ball 15's

2-box squats 40#
rotation press-9's
1 leg deadlift-20's
dips

That did it :D

This morning, I did CC#6 and tonight I'll be doing abs, that's it:rolleyes:

Stats:
500 cals burned
4:37 miles traveled
60:00 minutes

Buttercup78: Nice work:)

Today was cardio and I did Tracey's Cardio Kickbox Challenge. The more I do this workout the more I love it. It is so fun and I like every combo they do on here. Usually there is always some part of a workout I don't like, but that is not the case with this workout.

HR STATS:
1 hr. 3 minutes total
4 minutes below zone
18 minutes in zone
42 minutes above zone
509 calories burned

The snow storm wasn't as bad as predicted. We got only about 3" yesterday and we might get another 3 more today. Schools are closed, though, which I can't figure out. The roads are cleared off and just wet. Go figure. Teachers must have needed another day off.

Lora - I agree with Theresa, what you described isn't sciatica. Sciatica is pain in your low back and down the legs. It causes numbness sometimes when it gets bad. Its hard to sit and stand when you have sciatica. Your problem sounds more like your IT band needs to be stretched. Use the foam roller on it. Work it near your glutes to the back side and up along your side. See if that helps.

Theresa - Nice workout yesterday! I did Tracey's workout this morning. I love it!

Teddygirl - Hey girl, you ok? I read your post in OD yesterday. What's up with your job? Are you looking elsewhere?

Morning Maniacs -

This morning I did not want to work out. Wanted to stay in bed. Did 30 Day Shred with Jillian - workouts 1 & 2. I added extra stretching at the end. Workout was 65" and I burned 533 calories. Max HR was 153. I modified most of the cardio on the Rebounder.

I call my pain sciatica, as it starts in the low back and goes into the butt in the sciatic distribution. If I ever had pain down the leg, I'd definitely go to the doctor. My pain seems to start in the low back and go into the butt and then it also travels all the way up the right side of my back into my traps and neck. I used my Jill Miller Tension Tune Down balls to lay on last night to get into my spasms deeper than the foam roller. It helped a bit. I think my sciatica is mild and I believe it is caused from Piriformis syndrome. My pain only radiates down into my shoulder from my cervical bulging disc, but in the past when I did not exercise, the pain travels farther into my arm. I think working out helps me to some extent. I think my pain I'm experiencing now is a combination of everything, bulging discs, bruised ribs from my fall last year and a whiplash injury exacerbating everything. I have been going for massotherapy lately.

Have great workouts everyone. I work 12-9 today and we'll probably be dead cuz of the snowstorm.

Workout today was STS Meso 1 disc 9 legs 55 minutes and burned 397 calories went a little heavier than last time with some of the weights. Then I did Tracey's Walking Strong for 40 minutes. Not always going to the top incline level(left forefoot started hurting

even with the new running shoe) I burned 335 calories and max hr was 154. I did it till I was just a little past the 2nd lower segment. I finished off with Insanity Cardio Recovery. I like the way this incorporates some non weighted strength for legs and core and fits in yoga and balance. This was 33 minutes and I burned 191 calories

Have a lot to accomplish today. Will come back and post weights etc.

Does this link above work? It reminds me of Debbie's kitties!

Anyway, I skipped going to yoga class yet again due to an unbelievable ton of grading and other things to do (so glad this is the last week of intersession). I did a brief, light workout at home, though, and it made me feel a lot better overall. I did the intermediate workout from Amy's Absolute Beginners Kettlebell, then I sort of watched the intro and preview to her Kettlebell Dynamics, which I haven't done yet. While sort of watching, I did 2 sets of 8 bicep curls, tricep extensions, and push ups. Then I did some halo ab things and the "bench abs" section from Tracey's core dvd.

A quick post here. Got a lot of things done today. Sitting here with taxes and some stuff I added up last week are missing:( Now I have to do them over. I need this done since dh is coming home this weekend. We are doing our taxes Monday. Yikes!! I have to get my backside in gear for sure. Pick him up from the airport Friday.

Hermia, that link did not work for me. Glad that you found some time to get a workout in. I think kettlebells are so much fun.
