Morning Fit Ladies -

This morning I did P90X Plyo X listening to my own music (can't see how anyone can do these over and over and not listen to their own music). I modified some of the higher tuck jumps on the rebounder for my sciatica that's acting up. I had a much better workout than last week.

I'm really getting sick of Plyo X but I just can't think of a good replacement for it. One of the Imax's would be a good cardio option to replace it, but I think Plyo X really works your legs...so I stuck it out opposed to substituting.

Diana Sue - Did you continue to do Plyo X and Kenpo X all the way through to the end of your P90X rotation? I know you did additional aerobics and I'm not, other than my Saturday and Thursday additions of step aerobics. Do you think my body is too used to PlyoX and Kenpo X? Next week's a recovery week for me, so I'll do different aerobics next week and then I have my final 4 weeks of P90X. Should I keep doing the Kenpo & Plyo? I don't really want to start subbing Cathe's Imax, as I'm planning on doing a Cathe rotation next. thanks for your help. Also, do you think those Crouching Cohen curls they do for biceps are good enough for concentration curls since your resting your elbows on your legs? My arms don't seem to get as sore from Shoulders & Arms as they used to. I wish P90 had 2 different arm workouts....maybe I'll throw in Power Half Hour Arms for the next phase to shake it up. I know I do Back and Biceps in the last phase also, so that should shake it up a bit more.

Have great workouts everyone. I'll try to check in from work...but you know how that goes.

ETA: Attn: Beachbody Fans - Debbie Seibers is coming out with 4 new DVDs....only 30 minutes each. One is upper body and core? (I think), 1 aerobic, one core and one aerbobic/weight one (I think). Someone posted about it over at VideoFitness. She states they are meant to compliment the Slim Series/Slim in 6 since those are so lower body oriented. They would make good add ons to the Slim Series or Slim in 6 to shake up the rotation.

Lori, sounds like you had a great workout.
I am really into the GS right now. I love the burn i get from them and i am seeing results(so are others).
Chest and tri last night. There are alot of sets in the chest. I have a hrd time sticking with 20's after the pushups. I usually have to move down after the bench press...
SOMEDAY, I am singing, I will be able to do it.

My P90X is on e-bay right now , and it is moving on up.
Diana Sue , I am going to get that wheel out and try roll outs . I never thought of using that thing and we have had it forever.
I have the 3/4 in puzzlematts so the barbell will sink in too much. I am going to try them tonite.
Have a happy fit day ladies...

Today is my rest day and I need one. I am sore all over after yesterdays workout.

Diane Sue - yes I can do pykes but I can only do them once in a while. If I do them often my low back starts to get aggrevated. So you do the the rollouts standing, not on your knees, right? That has got to be hard.

Good Morning,
This mornings workout will be Straight Up Step, some treadmill, abs and Yoga. I was going to do Low Max but like using the weighted gloves and felt like doing 3 total body weight workouts a week and then using the gloves on the other days would be too much for the joints.

Lora, I did Plyo X and Kempo X through the whole rotation. Sometimes I added more on to them. I think the Crouching Cohen curls for biceps are fine for concentration curls. They are kind of like doing concentration curls for both arms at the same time. I do find that I drop the weight a little from what I would normally use because crouching like that I tend to lose some of my concentration on the biceps because I am feeling it elsewhere.

Anne, when I first got the GS series I had to keep the remote there to take some breaks on all of those push ups. I can do them all now and do the bench press with 25# dumbbells so I have finally advanced up some:) It is hard after 72 pushups. Actually after all of the pushup variations in P90X thses seemed pretty easy. I have to roll my mat up out of the way for the barbell rollouts. I would think that would increase the difficulty having it stuck in your mat. Good luck trying the wheel.

Hi to everyone

Debbie, yes I do them on my toes bending over from a standing position. When I first started out I did them on my knees and built up to these. If pikes aggrevate your low back you would probably not want to do these.

Diana Sue -

Have you learned SUS yet? Just curious. I still love that workout. I'm not sure what I got myself into buying The Next Step though!! Rock Steady also.

Good Morning Lora, Deb, Anne, Diane Sue

I am planning a circiut today, incorporating Imax segments for the cardio. I am really not that sore today. I thought my abs would have a bit of DOMS, but no. I feel it just slightly in the obliques and that is it. I really need to step it up for my abs I think.
Does anyone have suggestions on an advanced video for abs? I really need to challenge them more (safely of course;-))

You guys all have great WO's today. I really need to get gym styles. Guess I better start playing the lotto!

This was my circiut WO:
10-12 reps of each

DB Chest Fly: 15lb
Push Ups
Lat Pull Overs: 15#
Shoulder Press on the ball: 10#
Lateral Raises: 8#
Hover Squats: 30#
Static Lunges: 30#
One Arm Rows: 15#
Lying Tricep Extensions: 10#
Concentration Bicep Curls on the ball: 15#

Then I did 2 Imax2 Segments, then repeated it 2 more times (total of 3). THe last Imax2 part I did 3 segments with no recovery in between.
I feel like I could go heavier with some, but I really need to buy some 12# and 20# dumbells.

I was dripping, and it felt great! It was just over an hour.

Finished my workout finally. I started much later than usual. I did Straight Up Step, 2.25 mi. on the treadmill, 4 sets of 35#barbell rollouts 15 reps, 4 sets hanging knee raises with 12# 15 reps, 2 sets of 15 hanging leg raises, Ab Jam with my jolie shoe weights and weighted gloves, Yoga X stopping after 23 min and forwarding to crow through the end. I omit the corpse and ohms. We are getting things ready to go camping this weekend so I probably wont exercise then. Unless I take Core Max and Str Max w/ me.

Meaghan, it sounds like you got a good circuit in.

Lora, I got through SUS pretty well today. I still have those areas where I mess up footing but I think I am getting it.
