Morning Fit Ladies -

This morning I did P90X Core Synergestics playing my own music. I used a med ball for the ab portions and kept my ankle weights on throughout. I probably did too many pushups this week and I'm sure I'll pay for it with my pain flaring up.

Diana Sue - How long of a workout does Yoga X come to doing it the way you did it yesterday and what sort of focus is the practice on done that way? I may want to try it. Also, you didn't mention if you like SUS. Do you like it? Do you think it's fun?

Have great workouts everyone. I'll try to check in from work...but work has been rough this week. I'm glad it's Friday.
 
Good Morning,
Today I plan on doing Low Max with my weighted gloves, Muscle Max Timesaver Premix and Muscle Max Lower Premix. This way I do total body but focus more on lower. Wed the focus was more on upper. I have been trying some pretty good recipes from the new Oxygen Nutrition issue. Last night I made the honey dijon salad dressing for my salad. It was good.

Lora, Yoga X came to 54 minutes doing it that way. I get the w/u-some of the warrior segments, then go to the floor at the point where there is 36 min. left and it starts with crane and goes through the plough, bridge/wheel, table, core and stretching. I think it is pretty balanced this way. I like SUS a lot. I have been trying to use it at least once a week. Maybe when I feel I can run through it smoothly I will go back to RSS:)

Good Morning Maniacs!!!

Just finished BC and will do PUB later today. Going to look at homes all day today cuz the one we wanted sold just as we sold ours...how ironic and sad! So sent dd to the store to get food cuz I ain't starving. Gained 4 pounds after vacation cuz I ate bad so I just had to do BC today as I don't want to be a cow coming home. LOL! The beach was beautiful and the days were just right with plenty of sunshine. Son and I rode a bike together in Virginia Beach while hubby and dd rested in the hotel. The rest of the time was great too.

Diana Sue - I was thinking I'd do Rock Steady Step tomorrow for a lower intensity aerobic (semi-rest day). I don't know if I'm ready for the mental challenge though. I DEFINITELY won't be doing The Next Step tomorrow (if ever). Maybe I'll do the core work on it tomorrow so I don't feel like I wasted my money. I think the stretch was good too. :)

Charlotte - Welcome back. The place is NEVER the same without you. I missed you. Buckcherry next Tuesday night BABY!!!! I hope I can get up front again.....I don't care if I'm in the mosh pit again.

Hey Charlotte! Glad you had a great time! Sounds like a real vacation. Hopefully no weirdos followed you again, geez! Glad that turned out alright. Anyway, I am having GREAT results from this rotation, even though last week, the days got a little messed up, so I had to push back a bit.

Morning Diane Sue and Lora, great WO, as usual.

I am supposed to do an extended LLowmax version, but of course the episode of Lowmax I tivo'd from Fit TV got erased, and I don't have the DVD. So,I will probably do a straight step, and maybe add in the extended parts between segments.

Diane Sue - did you get that recipe out of the Sept. issue? I love good salad dressing.

Wow, the humidity kicked in big time this morning, very hard to breath. I did Rhythmic Step and was sweating like crazy. Its so hard to do cardio in humidity, I really hate it. I was in my zone for 47 minutes and burned 318 calories.

I am still so sore from Wednesday's workout. My glutes are really hurting. Those 65# lunges did me in.

Hope you all have a great workout today! Hope it cools off again soon.

I got the recipe out of the special issue that is just Nutrition. there are several dressing recipes in it. The on that I made is Nonfat Honey Dijon Dressing. There is another I want to try but need to buy some sesame seed. It is Soy Ginger Sesame Dressing.There is also a good dressing on the Great Wall Steak Salad recip. I have made several of the recipes out of that magazine so far. They were all good.

My neck/shoulder felt perfectly fine yesterday. Well, of course now I am in quite a bit of pain. x( I am icing it right now. Plus, when I was putting the kids down for their nap and looking foward to WO, I realized I feel like crap and had no motivation to WO. So, sore throat, runny nose, sickly feelin, and lots o pain = no WO.:-(
If I feel better after work tonight, then I might try again. I really want to WO, but I better listen to my body.

Hi Deb. I know that humidity can put a damper on my WO's too.

Those dressings sound really good.

Missed yesterday, work , grocery shopping then out to dinner.By then I was beat.
I nees 48 hrs in a day..

Anne - No, I'm doing a P90 X Recovery Week next week, which actually just omits the heavy weight workouts. You still do Functional Fitness, cardio and Power Yoga. I'll get a chance to do a little variety this week...starting after Sunday's workout. At the end of September, when I go to Vegas, I take total rest and just walk in Vegas for 5 days.

Diana Sue - I meant to mention the other day about you saying the twists and bends in yoga tend to bother you if you go to far into the pose. I was just thinking that twists and bends are my favorites!! I have never had a problem with those. I have enough problems with balancing poses and backbends though. Generally, it all goes back to "push up like" movements or strengthening postures. It's so frustrating for me! I can do them (as in being strong enough), but then I suffer with the horrible disc pain. I wish I knew ahead of time when Oxygen has special issues out. I never get them cuz my DH does the shopping and he doesn't know to grab them. (ETA - what rotation did you do after P90X? Did you feel you need to go with a rotation with more leg work afterwards? I'm debating my next move....fat loss....lower body...etc. I know a lot of people like to build with P90X and then lean out...correct?)

Debbie - You don't have air conditioning? Yes, it got humid here the last 2 days also. It's supposed to go down into the 50's again at night starting on Monday.



Megadoo - Get better soon. Sorry your not feeling well.
 
Hey guys, well I was feeling a bit better so I just did RS and then 2 segments from SB, plus the challenge on an 8 in step. I limited my arm movements, and did extra stretches. I will probably ice my neck/shoulder night just in case.
