Morning Fit Ladies -

This morning I did Barry's Bootcamp Butt and Legs. I probably could have gone a bit heavier on weights...but I wasn't sure what weight to use since I've never done this before. This was mainly squats, lunges, lunges with one foot up on the step, plyo squats, donkey kicks, hydrants, and hydrants with a kick. I didn't use ankle weights, but next time I will.

The aerobic session on this DVD was really tough to complete after working your legs. I don't know if I could use heavier weights and complete the aerobics right after. The aerobics were stepping up and down quickly on a high step (they used 4 risers), side to side quickly on the step, plyos, flying jacks, running, high knees, skating. I did my own cool down and then did the stretch from Cathe's Butts & Gutts. Took me an hour and 15 minutes to complete and I burned 360 calories from w/u to c/d.

I'm pretty happy with my Barry's Bootcamp purchase. The only one I haven't done yet is the full body with Barry. I can't wait to work out with Barry again. I really like him. I almost did his aerobic session today just so I could work out with him. I've been waiting for a week or so to report this, but I think I might have lost a couple pounds. I know that doesn't sound like much...but it's really hard for me to shed a couple pounds. I think maybe the change using Barry's Bootcamp with the weights and then short, intense aerobics is helping. I also have done 5-6 days of cardio last week and this week.

Charlotte - I'm wearing White Moon today. I also picked out Mum Moon and Kindly Moon to wear over the weekend. I'll probably wear my White Moon tee shirt and oil again on Sunday for the full moon. I wish I'd get the C&S for my Yule/13 order. I'm dying to try Snow Maiden and 13. I used my Villainess Whipped Cream today. It's very nice. I love the texture and scent of course. Are you sore yet from Butts and Gutts? (Just checked Pollstar. Where's Cambridge MD? Is that near you? They are playing there on 11/29).

Debbie & Megadoo - I'm so glad that Sam and Jason are finally back together on GH. For some reason, I just love them together. I don't know why. You know....I'm starting to turn into an Elizabeth hater. I used to like her...but ever since she slept with Jason, I can't stand her. She's not even a very good actress! I'm so bad this mornning, aren't I??

Have great workouts everyone. I'll try to check in from work but not sure if I can. It's just me and my boss today. Charles is off and it's Pay Day...so I'll be in my ball and chains!! (I'm even afraid to drink water on Pay Day...as I'm not allowed to leave my desk).

My cat just erased everything I just typed. She was on my mouse and I heard a click.

Anyhow, starting over....

Yesterday I did arms and then Butts and Guts. I have DOMS in my bicep muscles this morning and only slight soreness in my lower glutes and hamstrings. I am pleased because I am trying to work the lower part of glutes anyhow. I really enjoyed the firewalkers, but I kept tripping on my shoestring, it became untied and then I was messing up so I kicked them off. Next time, no shoes for those. Another thing that will be different...I will go down to 12's instead of 15's. The 15's was a bit too much when jumping into the air into a plie squat. I had so much lactic acid build up in my legs I could hardly bend my legs as it was to go into a deeper plie squats. I will also use 10# db's for ab work. I thought 8's were too light and I will use 15's for the oblique twist and overhead still.

Last night I cleaned. Suppose to have people come out to look at house this morning so more cleaning. I have shoulder work to do today so it will be a shorter workout. Looks like we might get our buyer for our home. These are the same people that were out just this week and already discussing offer between themselves for now. I got a good feeling about these people.

I haven't ordered Whipped yet or Snow Maiden. I just wrote down more imps I want. I have to do everything in order. I am a organizational freak. I can't stand having "list" either. I am trying to get it all so I don't have a list anymore! lol.

So are you done with your meds for bladder yet? Cambridge is at least 3 hours away from me, maybe 4.

Well, yesterday was a rest day again. Alot of those lately.Arm is really inflamed.The herbal patches seem to be doing something. I may have to take some time off to heal this thing.Even holding weights for lower body is bothering me.Hopefully i am only enflamed not torn in the tendon.This is really bumming me out here.There is an actual bruise on the muscle that i can see. Looks like i hit it really hard.

I may do butts and guts again with light to nothing weights . At least it will keep my muscles from atrophying....
Even the kick boxing punching is a sharp pain.I always have the treadmill and step...

Charlotte, Dr. Oz was on Oprah. All a body needs to keep healthy as far as exercise is 20 min aerobic 3X week(60 min) and 30 min weight training 3 X week. If a womans waist is under a 31 and mans a 35 you are in ideal range to live a long time.(body belly fat etc.) I want to get the book on his eating plan.

I don't follow a rotation most of the time, I do lower, upper, cardio and just keep them a little apart so i am giving my muscles enough recovery.

While i am recouperating i am really going to hit the diet really hard and get a Diane Sue, Deb and Charlotte waist...You are my hero's.

Charlotte - I'd drive 4 hours in a NY Minute to see my boys!! You should go. You don't have a job to worry about!

I need some help with getting over the fact that I hate to work my legs and butt. I love to work upper body and do cardio and yoga, etc....but I hate working my legs. They are my problem area and I want to start to "love" working my legs. I need the support of my fellow maniacs.

I started a Yoga check in ...........so I don't have to bore you guys with that babbling nonsense anymore. I did some Kundalini Yoga last night - Fat Free Yoga: Lose Weight & Look Great for 40 minutes. I had difficulty falling asleep after doing that so late though. I used to have this on tape and I used it in the evenings all of the time about 15 years ago and I remember losing weight and I wasn't working out as hard as I do now - either.......but I *was* much younger then.
 
morning guys. Yeah, didn't get up to exercise. Trying to decide what to do today. Want to do L&G with my ankle weights, but am craving an UB burn too. WOuld love to do both, but not sure about time. Also want to do some yoga. And cardio of course. Such decisions.

Lora- yes, I am happy they are together too. THings got crazy here with all the kids yesterday so I missed most of GH. Haven't seen much this week. Will have to tape it today if it gets nuts again. Yeah, Liz is getting "something" Not sure if pathetic is the word? So is Jason really the father and she is hiding it?

Anne- There is a pic of my waist from a few months ago, but I certainly need to update that, since it is better now. I am going to see if my sis will let me use her camera. SHe has this new fancy thingy that takes great pics. Mine is a bit older and the flash gets in the way obviously. Never think to ask DH to help LOL!
Hope that arm gets better. I agree, tendonitis, you really should completely rest the arm. I had it in both ankles (partly from Sarcoidosis) but I couldn't walk. Rest and Ice it for 20 min a few times a day. And motrin. Good luck. You are right about the TM.

Char- I really hope it works out with these people. I know you are anxious to move. Good luck. SOunds like quite the Wo you had yesterday.

Good Morning,
So far out of the new workouts I have not done the weight work on LIC and lower on DM. I am going to do cardio & lower from DM today other cardio as well. I have to go back and look and see if it is possible to do LIC with lower only. Otherwise I may do floorwork after DM. I am rambling while thinking here:) I think I need some stretching.

Charlotte, 15# for those plie hops? I started with 10 and was wondering if I made a mistake, not realizing I was going to be hopping with the weights. You could always get shorter shoe strings

Lora, it sounds like you are really getting in some good workouts. I don't know if you saw my post last night. I asked about the Villaines whipped body cream. I did a search and came up with some odd things on whipping:).

I know Meag.I need to rest it. The Dr. told me . I have been icing. It feels better then i go lifting. It is driving me nuts not to lift. All things i find on it says to do exercises to strengthen it. I am confused.

Char, Pile jumps with 15# is crazy woman....I agree with the lactic acid build up in B&G. I felt the burn , but loved it.By the time you got to pile jumps the legs were already shaking. LOL.
I had to pause and stretch after them.

I really want to do drill max bad.....Maybe i could still do it and not use the barbell, just use up to 10# bells. Feel like begining mode here...

Lora, you do not bore us wiyh yoga checkin.It is something you love, so i personally have no problem with it.
Maybe i otta start an injured weanie checkin...

I am doing something tinite no matter what.
I am officially on a 6 wk loose the rest of this gut diet.No wine, no junk , only celery, cauliflour etc at night. I have some liquid protien i can drink down for rewcovery. I like it better than the powders.

Well the people are not here yet. Realtor says it is possible they may come Saturday if not today. House is decent enough for someone to come in for a peek, but I still have more to do.

Sorry to hear about your arm. These things are frustrating. My tingling sensation is getting better in mine. Just will need more time for myself and you to heal completely. Diane Sue - The Whipped Body Cream is under Temporary Insanity. Villainess is a girl from the perfume oil forum that has a soap business. Scintillating soap is absoultely fantastic....and that's the scent she also made for the cream. I also love Decadance, Embargo, and most of the foody/gourmand ones. Her facial mud is nice too, as well as the self heating smooches (body scrubs).
 
Hey you Maniacs! Today is KenpoX. I also want to get in some yoga, as I skipped it the other day. Maybe a short Eion Finn, or I have a Karen Voight I Haven't tried yet. We'll see.

Char-I hope these people want your house! Then you can quit thinking about it. You must live out in the sticks to be an hour away from a Mall. lol So, jumping with weights in butts and gutts. I'll probably go lighter and try to jump higher and go lower on the land. Geez, I want my workouts!

Lora- Your workout sounded fun. How would you compare the intensity of Barry Bootcamps to P90X? And, is all the cardio after the weights? I'm getting more and more interested. Loving the plyo stuff. Congratulations on the weight loss!!! You deserve it, with how hard you work.:)

Anne, I caught the last 15 min. of the Oprah show. Then my daughter called and I even missed that. I waited all day and forgot. Did he say anything new? I'm working on the tiny waist right there with ya! It's all about the food and I hate that. I likes my food.:)

Meaghan, Let us know what workout you do. Can't wait to see your new progress pics. You look great!

Yeah, I live out with the bears and coyotes. Some people swear we have a black panther around. A few older people that live here say that. Well the DOMS has finially set in. I am not feeling too well. lol. That is a good thing as I know it worked me really good. My legs were still throbbing when I laid in the bed last night. lol.

Dallys - we started a yoga check in thread today. It's called Trying to Fit Yoga in Check in -- since we don't do it daily. Come join us. It's fun so far. I would say BArry's is comparable to P90X intensity wise, but it is a higher rep weight workout. You could probably split them into sets and lift heavier if you wanted to for a change. The negative is that they don't have a cool down and stretch after the cardio. The cardio is only 18 minutes on each one....but believe me - you'll be ready to quit after those 18 minutes. The main menu has you select from the weight segment, the cardio segment or treadmill segment. Each workout has a non-treadmill cardio option and treadmill cardio workout on it. I really like Barry the best. A different Bootcamp instructor leads each one (Barry does 2 - Shoulers & Arms and Total Body). (you can do the cardio before or after the weights - I will probably switch back and forth with this - but right now I'm trying to see how long the weight segments are so I know if I have time to do cardio afterwards). They've been averaging 75 minutes wiht my own w/u and c/d stretch).
 
Which Karen Voit. I used to have them all?
He talked alot about belly fat and your waist size and food ingriedients. He told you how to read the packages and look for fructrose. Look for whole wheat. Alot of it was clean eating. He said you should eat the same thing for breakfast and lunch so you don't have as many bad choices. It was a really good show. Then he had actual belly fat. One feom an overweight person and a thin one. It was gross.

I just finished doing "Ho' Ala ke kino" (char should love that name:))
It's a nice little 27 min. workout by beachbody. It's got stretching and yoga and is on a cool beach setting in Hawaaii.

Lora- I'll check out that check in. Maybe that will keep me doing yoga after P90X. Do you know if Barry Bootcamp is still on sell? Like I need more workouts. lol

Anne- I have the "yoga and sculpting" Karen Voight. I haven't done it yet. I also have the "Slim Physique" that has a good shorter yoga segment on it. Dang! I don't get discovery Health channel.:( I'm good on eating the same thing for breakfast and I mostly eat the same thing for lunch.

I forgot to post this morning, today is my rest day. I'm delivering Avon and its colder then heck outside! OY!!! - Charlotte, that was for you! LMAO!!!

Lora - I'm glad Jason and Sam are back together as well. I like them together. It probably won't last long, though. You know how it goes in soapland. I loved the scenes when Laura came back, so touching. I wonder whats going to happen with all of that? She will freak when she finds out Luke is married to Tracy!!!!

This mornings workout was w/up and cardio of Body Fusion stopping at the drill section, Drill Max Premix Cardio Leg Blast no w/up the lower body work kept the hr up so I didn't figure I needed much more cardio there was more jumping with weights, firewalkers, lunge hops, walking lunges w/ side laterals, my legs were tired, then I put in LIC & started the premix of Lower Circuit I only did the first circuit because I realized it was cardio based again on the lower and was a compound move with upper, I want to do upper tomorrow, I finished with Butts & Guts floorwork using 5# ankle weights and a 15# dumbbell and stretch finish. This took me 2 hrs and 4 min..

Charlotte - thanks for the PM on legs. I guess nobody else likes to work them either from the great response I got! LOL. Yes, I'm off my bladder pills. I'm still having some problems in that area though. Don't want to say what....might be TMI. I wish my sciatica would quit flaring also. It's driving me buggy. Hopefully soaking in the tub this weekend will help. Speaking of Buckcherry - I have to go check CD Universe. I ordered the re-released first BC CD cuz it is packaged to come with a DVD now.....can't wait to get it. I love Dead Again and Dirty Mind on that album, as well as Lawless and Lulu.
 
Her Yoga Sculpt is not bad. I forget which the slim Physique is?
I liked her pilates with the resista ring.I may have to crack it out while i am recoup.I only kept a couple of them.

Haven't used them in easy 2 years.
I do remember the great weighted workout a real burner w/ 3 # weights

Diane Sue 2 hrs a day. No wonder why you look so good.

Lora-speaking of working legs. I do enjoy working my legs out. I love Slim Series because it works legs almost everyday. I do get worn out doing legs though. I don't know if you missed my post or if you weren't interested, but I could give you the leg workout from the freestyle book I have. You'd have to workout on your own though. No DVD for that one. Me personally, I would rather do Slim Series than the Freestyle workout, because it's so repetitive and boring. It's a similar concept...supposed to slim those legs and hips down.

I'm bored today. Just thought I'd type that.:+
