Today was Back, Biceps and Abs. Had another great workout.

10 minute light jog on treadmill.

1 minute rest between each set.

BACK
Underhand Barbell Rows:
45# - 15/15 (warmup)
55# - 10 (up 3#)
57# - 10 (up 2#)
60# - 10 (up 3#)
***Held the contraction at the top of the movement. This makes a huge difference.

One Arm Rows:
32# - 10 (up 2#)
35# - 10 (up 3#)
37# - 8 (up 2#)

BICEPS
EZ Curls:
30# - 15/15 (warmup)
47# - 10 (up 2#) **Used wide grip
50# - 8 (up 3#) **Used wide grip
50# - 10 (up 3#) **Used close grip
***I hate EZ curls, they hurt my wrist. I tried doing it with a wider grip today and got through 4 sets. Last set I had to do close grip because my wrists hurt.

Incline Dumbbell Curls:
17's - 10 (up 2#)
20's - 10 (up 3#)
22's - 8 (up 2#)
***My biceps were burning by the last set.

ABS
1 min. 5 sec. planks on elbows - 3 sets
Straight Leg Crunch - 3 sets/15 reps
Reverse Crunch - 3 sets/15 reps w/8# med ball
***Took very short rest between each set.

This morning, I did CC#8 had a blasts! I did not make it to PiAS to pick up my kettlebells, I called him back asking him to hold it for today. My clients father had another plan for me. Anywho, today I also need to go to Dillard’s good thing it is on the way to PiAS. And I need to wash a few loads this evening.:eek:

I am getting so excited my girlfriend Gina will be here next Thursday from Texas. This is why I haven’t started STS, I know….I know…..excuses, BUT! We are going to party a few of my friends are waiting too to sho her a good time. Friday the four of us are heading to Detroit to MGM, Casino, Saturday were going to the Improv Comedy Club in the flats. I never been there. The lovely Loni is performing, Sunday who knows where we are going to end up. Boy, just thinking about it, I need to start cleaning this weekend, lots to do.

Teddy: I keep using DH as an excuse not to start STS (waiting on him to finish a few things) so I hear you. I keep busy while I wait, though. :) It sounds like a fun time.

Hi Anne! Hopefully the workout tonight will make you feel better.

I did Butts & Guts today- I love the ab portion of that workout. I inched up my weights again, so that's good. My butt muscles are nice and fatigued- love that feeling.

Hi all! great workouts everyone! Today was rest for me and boy was it nice! i slept until 7:00!!!!

I will hit legs heavy tomorrow and then back and biceps on Saturday.

Morning Maniacs! Today was CLX Push Circuit #2. I plan on taking Carma for a good long walk later today. Sposed to be up in the 40's...whooo hoo!:rolleyes:

I copied this recipe on the womens page over at OAS website. Looked kind of good and a bit different from our norm boring foods. Eat it as a post workout meal.


Rice Pudding

Ingredients:

1 cup dry basmati rice, rinsed and drained
2 cups skim milk
2 scoops vanilla protein powder (try to find a brand that doesn't taste like powdered chicken feet, and depending on the brand, you might add some Splenda to get the desired sweetness).
2 tablespoons sugar-free instant Jell-O vanilla pudding
Salt, dash

Instead of splenda I will be using sweet leaf
I will also be using revolutionary vanilla protein powder.
This weekend is going to be full of hardcore training so i can't wait for my post workout meal


Prep Time - 20 minutes, plus refrigeration
Difficulty Level - Easy
Servings - 3

Instructions:

Bring the basmati rice to a boil in the milk, cover and simmer on low heat for 15 minutes, remove from heat and fluff with a fork. Add the protein powder (and Splenda if necessary), and a dash of salt, stir, cover and put in fridge until it cools. Add Jell-O mix to cooled mixture, stir, and you're all set.

Last night was STS Disc 2. Fun times :) My muscles are going to be appreciating the series! I need to take some pics for before and after.

Dallys - just saw that recipe on the AOS site - sounds interesting. Let me know if you try it.

Today is cardio of some sort, and abs. I am so stuffed up in my head that I can hardly breathe but oh well, it's just oxygen, right? :confused:
 
This mornings workout was on the treadmill at a pace of 4.5-6mph I went 5.75 miles before the grandbaby arrived:D Was trying for 6. I burned 601 calories. Then I did STS abs pilates, med ball(no partner), no equipment, and yoga based. I finished with Amy Bento's Rumble Stretch with 3# dumbbells. Total calories burned was 852. Got to hit the grocery store today. I will check back later.
 
Hey Maniacs!!!!

My body is not in the best of shape right now with pain and such so I do what I can do so I will do lowmax today as I can't have a heavy bb resting on my shoulder area, etc. and can't do plyo's, etc. so will use my own body weight and get in a calorie burn too. Got wonderful DOMS in the arms from yesterday..that is always nice!;)
 
Today I did fasted cardio 20 minutes HIIT w/jump rope. Getting ready to head to gym to do a plyometrics workout:

Side Box Jumps
Lunge Jumps
Single Leg Jumps
Wall Sit

Dallys...It has rained here for a week straight...ugh! We need it but it really limits the play time I get with Jake. No rain yesterday and today so I have to take Jake for a walk too! I feel guilty that he is stuck in the house!

M1: 6 egg whites, 2 eggs, 1.5 oz oats
M2: Surge
M3: 6 oz. turkey, 3 oz. yams
M4: Protein hake
M5: 5 oz. salmon, 1 cup veggies
M6: Protein shake, 1 oz almonds

Anyone know what the song title is to Kid Rock's new song. The lyrics have the words "Hip - Hop" and "Kid Rock" in it. I really like that song but can't find it anymore.

d- Muscle Chow grilled chicken skewers with peppers, onions, zuchinni
Once I put in the nutritional info I will see if I need another snack.
