Hi Girls.

I have issues. :p I didn't really fall asleep until after midnight last night and got up just before 5am this morning. I am tired but can't sleep. WTH is wrong with me!?!? :eek: I must be empathizing with DH-that's all I can think of. He left the house 5:15 yesterday morning to go to work and didn't get home until midnight last night. This morning he was out the door again just before I got out of bed. He must be exhausted...poor guy....but at least he's working again. Double edged sword I suppose. :confused:

Sorry I never came back last night. One glass of wine kinda turned into 2 and I guess I kinda lost my ability to type after that. LOL :p I had the calories to spare for the wine though since I ate smaller then normal meals y'day. I even had the room for a rather generous snack afterwards. YUM! :D

My weight is doing a happy dance right now and I am hoping & praying that it stays that way! I have dipped to a new low that I haven't seen in MONTHS! Yee Haw! LOL :p

So I spent all yesterday afternoon/evening making my windows look pretty. I was washing blinds and curtains. Thank goodness it's finally done but now I get to move on to something else. :rolleyes: We are having Joey's Birthday party here on saturday so it's great motivation to do some "spring cleaning".

Jacque: You know I always worry about being able to lift enough weight on a barbell over my head so that my lower body is challenged which is where a weighted vest comes in handy. I think it's totally awesome that you have proven real upper body strength gains by being able to increase the amount of weight you can hoist over your head! That's very cool. Boring rest periods huh? I'll keep that in mind. Thanks for the warning. Perhaps I'll snack in between exercises! :p

Jen: Didn't hear from you y'day. What's goin' on? Are they over-working you already!?!? :eek: You know girl, you and I live close enough to one another that we really should plan a GTG of some sort this summer. I think it would be fun. You game?

Diana: Did you make it to the AOM work out last night?

Today's work out is Lean Circuit #2 for sure but I am also hoping to tack on a short cardio like Burn It Off or one of BBC's cardios. I can't wait to get the new CLX dvd in the mail!

Good Morning girlies!

I'm checking in early before the day takes over, PLUS the boss isn't in this morning, so that helps. Love my boss, and love my office, but I do have the unfortunate luck to have my office in the corner of the building where her office is, and if you picture an L shaped floor plan, our offices make up the right angle of the L...which means our doors pretty much face each other. So when she's around, I stay on my best behavior, just in case she pops her head in at any given moment. In other words, work is seriously cutting into my forum time...argh :mad:

Yesterday was a scheduled rest day, which I took because I needed the sleep. However, I did get out for a nice hour long walk around the city during my lunch hour. Today the schedule calls for Burn Circuit 1, which will now have to get doneafter work because I forget to reset my alarm to 4:30 this morning! Again...argh :mad: BUT, I too had a horrible night's sleep last night, so maybe that was meant to be.

Wendy: Maybe it's something in the air? I also lied (laid? layed? WTH?) awake until about midnight last night. Oh, that is so frustrating. Boy, you were productive yesterday!! Good for you! I'm kinda jealous...of your productivity, not of having to wash blinds ;) OMG, a GTG would be a BLAST!! I'm totally game for it. Maybe we could meet in NYC or something and see a big hair band show? We will discuss this further :D Congrats on the scale cooperating today!! I knew it would if you gave it a couple of days. You're making me really look forward to the lean phase.

Laura: If you're reading this, you're not tackling that inbox...get back to work, missy! {Jk} :p Hope you're days aren't too hectic while you settle back in. Our office moved about a year ago and what a PIA that was, so I empathize. Hang in there!

Jacque: I am glad to be back at work, but I do enjoy being home, too. I'm wishing I could find a happy medium, and get a part time job that paid the bills. Cuz SO is failing miserably at winning the lottery for me :rolleyes: You know, it's a simple matter of following instructions, isn't it? ;) Sounds like you had a great workout last night, even if it had a boredom factor. What's on tap for today?

Diana: Hope you have a little more free time on your hands today...sounds like you had a busy day yesterday, too. Did you make it to your AOM class?

K, I'm gonna get this thing posted before I'm busted, and then I'll BBL, probably at lunch if not sooner, because the weather sucks here today and I don't see a lunch hour walk in my future.

Hi there Chickadees !

Popping in before I start hitting the books. Today is cardio and though LIC timesaver is on tap - we are supposed to hit 80 today. May take my little "foster boy" out for a walk/run. He is an Aussie/Border Collie mix and had loads of energy, but his parents say he doesn't last too long when they take him for walks. We may very well see. Thinking I may do LIC after a bit of studying as my "break" and then hit the pavement later this afternoon. I really need to dig in to my books.

Wendy - LOL at your 2 glasses of vino chiquita ! :D So very happy to hear your scale is treating you well again. I need help in that area as mine has gone up yet again ! Buckling down again and hitting it hard. I am getting thoroughly DISCUSTED here.

Sorry to hear you didn't sleep well - boy do I remember those days the end of last year and beginning of this one. For me I think it was hormonal - and I am not sure, but since I got my workout schedule back on track and am being consistent with night time workouts I am sleeping very well. Here <<<Happy Sleep>>> I'll send you some vibes. And I hope you get a chance to see DH here pretty soon. Poor guy - whatcha fixin' him for dinner tonight (if he gets to come home) ?

Jen - well you sure got back in the groove at work quickly. If you figure out PT and bill paying, please clue me in ! :eek: Sounds nice to be able to take a walk at lunch. I work in an old industrial park that is dusty, dirty and ugly ! I just take a short lunch (course you all know cuz I post) and then go home earlier to workout instead.

So you know California would make a great GTG? ;) One of these days DH and I need to get back East. Farthest I have been is Denver - he hasn't been past Vegas which was a few years ago. Just worried about spending that much $ right now and he can't get paid for vacations right now. Can't afford the trip and no income at the same time. We'll be hanging close to home until he can take vacation w/pay.

Morning Ladies ..

checking in quick - horrible storms .. had tornado warnings again this morning ... I was late getting to work .. came in between storms!! About to get pounded again :confused: .. I have a secretary's luncheon today ... ordered blackened grouper and a salad .. not too bad .. but tonight is a GGT at the Mexican resteraunt .. one of our good friends b-day! MORE FOOD AND CABS .. SIL is subbing for me (fussing b/c she is missing the CABS) :p

DOMing bad in my tris from STS yesterday .. shoulders and bis seem fine for now .. today is a forced rest day :( and a HIGH calorie day:(

I did not sleep either .. WTH??? I was up and down w/my kidneys .. either an infection or oncoming stones .. $%$%^#&%#$&% :mad:

Wendy .. WOOOOHOOOO on the good scale numbers .. doing a happy dance for you .. I think I found the pounds you lost :mad: .. congrats to DH .. hope the work keeps coming although the long hours dont sound fun!!!

Jacque .. YOWZA .. I know who I can call to whoop evil aunts arse .. WOW at the weight .. WTG!!!!!!! Dont know if I could do that kind of weight .. never really have tried though .. maybe w/the NEXT round of STS I will try it!

Laura - I want to come play with you today (except the storms, of course). Grouper and Mexican dinner out (margaritas attached, of course, again) sounds scrumptious. Make today your "high calorie" day and kick some booty tomorrow on the workouts. Perhaps start drinking lots of water now to make up for later? :D

Am starting to feel the "back end" as I get up outta my chair - yippee - y'day's workout was worth it then. ;)

The weather cleared up enough to go for a walk at lunchtime. In fact, the sun peeked out a little bit even...followed by giant gray storm clouds. Think I got back just in time.

Jacque: My oldest and best GF lives out in California now. Not sure what town, but I know she's pretty far north, like three hours north of San Francisco...does that sound right. I think visiting her and you should go on my "to-do" list! I've never been further west than New York, I think :p

Laura: Stay safe during those storms! What a wild weather year we're having. Would really like some nice, warm weather days right now. So did the boss think another inbox would somehow help you?? Like, if he spreads it round into smaller piles it'll get done faster? Yeah...that's a man's brain for ya.

Hi ya Girls!

Well, I didn't have time for cardio today but that's okay. I got Lean Circuit #2 eeked out before I had to pick Joey up from school so it's all good. ;)

So I spent the morning tweaking my resume and working on the the cover letters. Took longer then expected but I got it done and finally left the house around 11am with 5 resumes for hand delivery. I managed to deliver only 2 in over 90 minutes time. :eek: 2 of the places I couldn't for the life of me figure out how to get into! They were locked and I didn't see any buzzers/doorbells to ring!?? The last one I didn't even get to because I simply ran out of time. I think I will mail the two I couldn't get into and try to go to the last one in person next week. I also found a couple more facilities that I plan to visit next week as well. When I finally got home I only had time for lunch and my work out before picking DS up from school.

Jen: Hope you enjoy your Burn work out today! An NYC jaunt sounds super fun but you know I'd be more then willing to meet you at a casino in CT too ! ;):D Only difference is that the CT plan would have to be an over-nighter since it's so far away from me. Sorry about your sleepless night but I'll bet YOU didn't get up at 5 this morning like dopey me! :p

Laura: Stay safe in the storms! Sorry you found my lost pounds. Hurry up and give 'em away to someone else but PLEASE don't give them back to me! :eek::p

Jacque: DH will be home at normal time today-4pmish but there will be no dinner for him. :p Not because I am mean and heartless but because I almost always go to my mom's on Thursday nights and tonight is no exception. He is used to "fending for himself" when I go. He'll live. ;) He doesn't come with me because I visit her on one of his bowling nights. This gives Joey and myself something to do while he is out. Works for all. :) Yay for the bootay DOMS!

Hi ladies,

I was feeling like a slacker until I checked my w/o calender downstairs. Only yesterday was a forced rest day. Had to be to work early and was to tired to meet my AOM group for a workout.

I'm back on track today and did Chest & Back this morning. This is tough one for me to just get the stinkin' dumbbells into position for chest presses and flyes. I did get to use my weighted gloves though and my 35# DB's. I need to get some heavier weights but they are not in the budget right now. Tonight is Tri training class.

I forgot to mention that my triceps have been killing me for 4 days now...I worked triceps on Sunday and can still feel them. This meso cycle is awesome.

I took tomorrow off as a vacation day. I will be accompanying (is that the right work???) a bunch of 7th graders to the zoo. I do plan on getting plyo legs done before heading up to the school.

One of my coworkers signed me up to volunteer with her today at lunch. We went to the mall and stuffed mesh bags with toiletries that were donated by many of the stores for women in need. We received a canvas tote bag and a goodie bag full of sample size cosmetics etc. I haven't really had a chance to look in the bag to see everything in it. Afterwards they fed us all lunch. I had a salad, chicken skewer, 1/2 chicken wrap and lemonade.

Laura-sorry to hear about the storms. It's supposed to be 80 today but tomorrow is only 65 and rain. Hopefully it won't rain until were done at the zoo. Enjoy your evening out....sounds like fun.

Wendy-sorry about the sleep issues. Those sleepless nights seem to be cyclical for me. Congrats on the scale!!! I need to do some work on that or else I'll have to buy new capri's this summer:mad: I'm hoping the tri training with the running and biking will make a difference. Have fun at mom's.;)

Jen-No AOM w/o for me. That means I have to get up early and go weigh in on saturday morning. I'm all for meeting up with Jacque in CA. I would love to go to San Diego, the zoo, seaworld etc. Sorry to hear you are having sleep issues too.

Jacque-BORING, ITA with the squat rack legs. I don't have a squat rack but did use the weight vest. I would prefer to do that type of w/o at the rec ctr. Make sure you use a bar bad to protect your back when using heavy weights. I'm still planning on doing legs twice a week, plyo legs and then GS legs, butts & guts, legs & glutes, but not squat rack legs. I just cannot go heavy enough at home to get the benefit.

Now that I've written a novel its time for me to head off to my next meeting.

Hi again,

Finished LIC timesaver. I tell you, Cathe kills me when she does legs and then the next day is the 8" step. By the end of the workout my legs were feeling sore. Lots of lunges and repeaters and the burn kicked in.

Jen - glad the weather held out for your lunch time walk. Fresh air is probably good to keep you focused as you re-enter the working world again. Anytime anyone comes out this direction I am up for a GTG.

Wendy - good job on the workout and getting some of your resumes out. These days a nice looking, well versed resume is best. Coming from an HR Mgr - I toss aside those that don't look like the person is very professional. A resume is your "first meeting" per se. Hope something pans out for you soon.

Diana - I have the same problem with the DB's but I am only using 25's ! :p Not sure I will be going heavier unless I can up it a lb or two at the end. I had to get a bar pad even when I wasn't lifting heavy. The weight between my shoulders is not comfortable.

I have triceps tomorrow - was it STS that gave you the long lasting DOM's? What a nice lunch volunteer you were. I am sure the recipients will be happy someone took time out of their day for their benefit.

And I have been telling DH we need to go to SDiego - he's never been and lately I have only been on business but get the craving for a beach trip everytime I go. We got to have lunch at the harbor a couple of weeks ago when the weather was just getting nice. Ohhhh the cravings - I grew up in Santa Barbara (where the big fire is right now) and spent nearly every day at the beach, even in the rains.

Okie dokie - off to water the veggies and flowers and then more studying.

May be late tomorrow as I have to visit another site midday.

No...No...not cheating on you guys;) Its been rather hard to get on the computer in general. I usually get to one check in and I don't even get back during the day. I am kind of finding it a little hard to get back into my normal routine:( I guess I had to jump right into work again, then I only had to work one night shift this week (which is now) and out of the goodness of my heart, I told my SIL that she could get some hours at DH's store and I would watch her kids. AND THAT is why its so hard to get here. Watching a 2, 4 and 6 yr old isn't my idea job:eek: The 4 yr old as her moments and can be very whiny. A good day is when she only cries 4 x's:confused: And Im serious. Then there are the times she cries and you can't get any sense out of what the prob is...therefore you can't fix it. She just keeps saying "mama..mama" Ugh! Then there is the whole ordeal of when they leave, I have to clean up all the toys, which they decided to move from one room to the next. Also if the weather is good, we spend all afternoon outside.

Anywaysssssssssss...this is the main reason why I haven't been around. Also there isn't much to report. Running, running and more running. I haven't lifted a weight since last week sometime. I was going to start STS on Mon but now it as been postponed until Sun.

I didn't get a workout in today so I am hoping for a run tomorrow and a full body workout. Then I have a play date set up, cut my FIL's hair, try to do something with another girls hair (DH's fault!) then a lobster boil (b-day party) Now do you see why I never get to check in anymore:(:(

I will try my darnest to be back in the a.m. I also have to clean up my eating! The scale hasn't went up but my eating as been allll over the place!
