Hi girls! So, is everyone Christmas'd out yet? Ug....I'm ready for some normalcy.....if that is a word. I ate a horribly yummy breakfast this morning with sausage, bacon, cinnamon rolls and eggs. Needless to say I need to get downstairs and do a workout. I have cardio & weights on my schedule for today. I've got my sneakers on and my hair up and after this post I'm heading down to get it done. I'm ready for the Christmas dinner at the hall tonight. I just have to finish up the taco salad at the last minute before we head out so the doritos don't get soggy.

So, did you all get any surprises? It's hard to surprise the boys anymore since they usually pre-pick what they want....they are into games and stuff that I don't understand so it would be silly for me to try and buy that kind of stuff for them. They will be getting their basketball hoop on the way home from the hall tonight since we left it at the shop and forgot to bring it home in time for this morning. Ooops....*lol*

Allright.....DH has the remote and I can't tolerate that!}( Time for me to go and bond with Cathe.:)

I just finished cleaning up the kitchen after a delicious breakfast of sauages, ham-egg-and cheese casserole, overnight french toast!

Today is a scheduled rest day for me. I need to make a salad to take to MIL's this afternoon. Jerod is using the basement tv to play his new ps2 games and Zach is using the flat screen in our room for his new ps3 games.

I did get an external hard drive and 30lb dumbbells. DH bought me 35's for my bday but it's a big jump to go from 25 to 35. I also got a digital picture frame!

Thought I would get back here last night, but I was pooped. We had a BLAST at my aunt's thanks to a wild & crazy swap this year! I'm going to cut & paste the explanation I posted over at the cheetahs:

I introduced some new "rules" that kicked up the insanity another notch. First, everyone drew numbers. Then, in sequential order, each person selected a gift. Once everyone had a gift, we opened them one at a time, again in sequential order. Then we voted and tallied results for the all-time worst gift, all-time manly gift, all-time girly gift. Next step: we all sat in a circle, and in the order of our numbers, we began to roll a die.

1=trade your gift on demand with anyone you choose
2=if you're a female, you get the manly gift; if you're male, you get the girly gift
3=everyone pass left
4=force any two people to trade (not yourself)
5=take the worst gift
6=swap with someone on your left or right (your choice)

We did two rounds of this and were absolutely SCREAMING with laughter. The most manly gift was a drill bit set; the most girly gift was an X-rated girly mag, fantasy store gift card, and couples coupon book (everyone called this "the bag of porn" -- it is what I opened up originally), and the worst gift, it was decided, was two wooden decorations (a chicken and rooster, which everyone kept referring to as "the c0cks"). So many fives were rolled, it was unbelievable!! We were HOWLING.

I posted a few pics over there on page two of the thread, if you feel like checkin' em out and seeing the infamous chickens! *lol* Oh, BTW, I ended up with two mini bottles of wine and a liquor store gift card. Salut! http://www.vpsingles.com/pics/bevdel.gif

I'll be doing PUB in a short while and then it's off to another aunt's for dinner.

In terms of gifts, I received a few gift cards, cash, and some little things: Summer Bisque concealer from Bare Escentuals, a mini-megaphone (I asked for this--it's for school! :7), and a yoga DVD from my Secret Cheetah (Eoin Finn's Power Yoga for Happiness).

Hi again girls

It's over! Everyone just wanted to hurry up, eat, and get the heck outta there tonight. We even skipped the gift exchange b/c everyone was in such a rush to get out of there.:eek: It happens like this every year....seems like such a waste of time and effort. I guess that's the way big family get togethers are sometimes.

The boys loved their basketball hoop. They're a bit bummed that they won't be able to use it til spring....but I'm sure they'll get lots of use out of it. They wanted to spend the night at MIL's and since we didn't think it was a good night for her to be alone, we went ahead and dropped them off. Tomorrow is back to work for me. Then, hopefully on Thursday we will be able to go bargain shopping. The boys have gift cards they want to spend as well.

I did do C&W today but my eating wasn't good at all. Those dammed cinnamon rolls are sooooo gooey and good!:9 Plus, the taco salad, chocolate turtle candies, etc. I ate a spinach salad with an orange and chicken noodle soup for lunch.....so at least one meal was a healthy one today.:7

Cathy - good job with PUB....that should give you some good DOMS tomorrow.
Your gift exchange sounds like a real hoot! Our group is so big that I'm not sure that would work so well for us. How many folks were there in your family? It sounds absolutely hilarious!! Those are the good times you remember. Who will ever forget the cocks?? And, whoever ended up with them will have a great memorable gift.:) Wouldn't it be funny if they showed up again next year?? :eek:
Sounds like you got some good things. I got my EXT and the pool table gone....which was what I wanted. DH actually kept his word and didn't buy me anything.....which was just fine. I have to admit, that I'm a bit spoiled and hard to buy for. If I really want something.....I get it and he knows it.:)

I'm gonna go veg for a while.....let all the crappy food settle.:p I have a frig and countertop full of goodies.:( I can't wait until this holiday leaves me alone! LOL!!
