How are we this Monday morning?

I am running later than usual this morning, but not late. This evening will be SM and some abs.

Diana :: so, you think the leg presses are really effective? They do get my heart rate up and I get fatigued as the w/out progresses, but I don't feel the burn the way I do during, say, lunge/squat combos. IA about the one-armed triceps dips. This w/out has some unique moves in it. Thanks again for the rec. I'm very happy with it!

Hi Wendy, Ang, Laur (still away, I think?), and Nancy! Have a great day. Will BBL to see what you're all up to.

Good Morning Cathy and All.

I am getting a cold. ACK! I hope it doesn't get too bad. I am taking Airborne so hopefully it will keep it from growing to full-force.

I am not sure what's on tap for a work out this afternoon. I'll keep ya posted when I decide...

Gotta work this morning...BBL!

Hi Ladies,

I didn't sleep well last night and I don't have any energy for a morning w/o. We had a loud thunder/rain storm come through in the middle of the night. It is only supposed to be 70 today, cloudy and chance of rain. I do have my w/o bag packed and will do my best to get to the rec ctr this afternoon.

DH and I are going out to dinner tonight for our anniversary.

Cathy-Leg presses are good for lifting the rear. You need to really squeeze the glutes when you step up. You can always add weight if your not feeling them. I use a 20lb db for leg presses. You can make them a little tougher by bending you back leg when you step down. About the WW points, don't forget you have the 35 flex points in addition to your daily points allowance.

Wendy-hope you nip this cold in the bud.

BBL to see what everyone else is up to.

Diana

Well I came home from work, ate something and took a nap. When I got up I did GS Chest only and 6 Minute Abs. I feel OKAY. We'll see what tomorrow brings....I am planning one body part per day plus abs/cardio as needed for this week since I'm not feeling up to snuff.

BBL!

Wendy :: oh no! http://www.mysmiley.net/imgs/smile/sick/sick0018.gif Sorry to hear you've caught a bug. Good for you working out, anyway. Rest up & I hope you feel better real quick!!

Diana :: Sorry about the poor night's sleep. I woke up a few times, too. Had some strange dreams...I usually use 12#s or 15#s and do try to squeeze, but maybe I should go heavier... Oh yeah, I used up all my flex points & then some last week. :( *lol* I've been good today, though...Enjoy tonight's dinner! What kind of restaurant are you going to? (I want to live vicariously through you!!)

Well, after I catch up with the cheetah check-in, I need to write up a pre-observation form for a meeting tomorrow with the VP. (I am having my first of three annual lesson observations this Thursday.) I don't think it should take too long and then I'll get to SM.

In case I don't get back here, have a GREAT night!

Diana: Hope you get your rec center work out in today.

Cathy: Hope your lesson observation goes well. I know that it will.:)

Off to make dinner for me and the little guy!

Hey Ladies,

I stuck to my guns and went to the rec ctr. I had a great w/o. I did a 20 min interval on the elliptical (310 cals), 20 min interval on the stepper (234 cals), 20 min steady state at Level 12 (225 cals). Overall I burned 769 cals. I planned on doing a 40 min interval on the elliptical, but my quads were on fire so I jumped over the stepper. The stepper ended up being equally tough as my quads and glutes were feeling that machine. Then the bike was tough on the quads again. I was dripping by the time I was done.

Cathy-Believe me, I've blown all my points and then some too. Don't forget to add in your activity points too. I decided to give the core plan a try since my weight loss is at a plateau. It seems to be working. However, I did have brownies and chocolate chip cookies which unfortunately are not on the core plan. Are you nervous about your lesson observation? I'm sure it will be great.

Wendy-glad to hear you are feeling a little better. GS Chest is a real goodie-starting off with those drop sets of pushups.

Angie-What are you cleaning today?:)

Diana

Diana :: wow, you racked up MAJOR activity points tonight, huh?...GREAT workout!!...No, I never miss any opportunities to add in some activity points...lol!! When I did WW the first time, I noticed that sometimes I would lose even on weeks when I blew it. Then other weeks when I was strict, nothing happened...No, I'm not nervous. Non-tenured teachers get observed 3x per year. Since I left my old district just when I would have gotten tenure, I have basically been observed 3x or more each year for the past 6 years. So, I am fairly used to it. Next September, I will have tenure in this district and will only be observed once per year. I think I will be nervous when I have to videotape my lessons later in the year for the Nat'l Board cert. I am very self-conscious about being filmed. Tomorrow I just meet with the VP to talk about the lesson, and then the actual observation is Thursday.

Good evening girls

It's been another busy Monday with another soccer game tonight. Only one more game on Thursday and we'll be done with soccer.:) The weather has been unseasonably warm and beautiful but we are running out of sunlight for the games.
I did X C&B with ARX and thought it might just kill me.}( Geez - so glad next week is "rest week". I also got that Baptist yoga DVD today so I will be trying that out when yoga is on tap this week. It'll be nice to try something new.

Cathy - Stop talking about HST!!:p I know I should add this one to my library....but.....I already have some new ones coming and with the new P90X ones coming out too. ug! Glad you are enjoying it though.
So sis is asking for $185 ice cream scoop....ummmm....are you KIDDING me???:7 Buy her one at the dollar store and say OK, there you go. Especially since this is the second time around. Kind of a sticky situation eh??

Wendy - Oh no, not a cold. Hope you boot this thing before your big run. Is it this weekend?
I think taking it easy is the right thing to do.:D Get some rest girl and we'll chat with ya tomorrow.;-)

Diana - I didn't sleep well last night either. I usually don't on Sundays b/c my sleep schedule always gets messed up on the weekends. So, I start Mondays on the cranky side.}(
Wow - your w/o sounds insane!!! Good job with it. So, you must be getting your lunches back?
Happy Anniversary.....you and DH have a great time tonight!

Hi Laura and Nancy!!!
