Andrea(Idream) how are you doing? Didn't see you yesterday...

Jean-Great job on your 40mins of cardio on wednesday! I was just reading your post yesteray and thankgoodness you were able to wake up in time to get out the door. Sorry you didn't get your workout in.I need to get another alarm clock...mine is so annoying,the sound just drives me nuts:confused:. Then agian....i may not wake up if its a pleasant sound:p Glad to hear you knee is feeling better

Andrea-Did you decided on the wii fit or elliptical yesterday? How are you liking WWers? I did that back in 07 for about four months and lost 30 lbs with it....then i plateaued and ive been on one eversince:rolleyes:

Today is a cardio on the treadmill and then some abb work. BBL
 
Quickie check in since I didn't make it by yesterday. I did my run last night and added 4DS LIS step only. I have PS legs and abs on tap for today. DH's stinkin' pager went off at 4:30AM and I have been up ever since. I got up and showered so I will do my workout this evening. I hate to waste a good shower. ;)

On tap for tonite is Punch Kick and Jam TJ. Did 30 day shred last nite burned a few more calories this time when I did it but still not enough.

Amelia-what are you doing today or maybe I missed that.

Becca- you snuck in on me I am now wishing I would have tried to finish this months FF rotation.

Andrea-where are you girl.

AndreaH- welcome back I have wii fit but don't use it.

Hey girls...just popping in to report my workout..finished it. did a steady state incline at 3% and speed at3.0 for thirty minutes. Today is my easy day but i had to keep my HR in my training zone.

Oh...i posted in OD so I might as well mention it here. Please send some prayers to my DH. Since he lost his job back in Dec. he has been out looking everyday and still no callbacks...frustrating. Were struggling to make ends meet these days. Were staying positive though....this will end(I hope soon) Meanwhile our parents are helping.

Roxie: You could always jump in FF's rotation where they are at now.

Becca: I always hate it when I've already showered and then I do a WO.

This morning my hip felt fine so I did 4DS legs,calves and FF's abd WO she posted on the Jan. rotation thread and a walk with DH and the puppy.Man, DH is such a sloooow walker. It was driving me crazy!:confused:

Have a great weekend in case I don't get back on. My DS has a pinewood derby race on Sat.
 
Hey everyone. WO yesterday turned into staying late at work and then monitoring homework - UGH. Why can't DH do some of that stuff? Oh yeah - too busy waxing his snowboard & watching football :mad:

Amelia, I'll think positive thoughts for your DH (saw your post over on the OD earlier today). As for WW - I lost about 35# on WW (combination of online & meetings) - have gained back 10 (+/- a little) over the last year. I need SOMETHING to help me monitor food. I like SparkPeople but just don't feel as accountable to it for some reason. I signed up for WWOL for 3 months. I'll see where I am @ that point and decide whether or not to continue. What I'd really like is something like Jenny Craig or NutriSystem that offers healthier food options. Simple would be really helpful right now.

Hi Becca, Jean, Roxie, Elaine, Andrea and anyone else I may have forgotten.

Not having a great day @ work today. Having trouble concentrating on anything other than DS' birthday party for tomorrow (and all that I have to do before that :confused:). Oh well, the week has been fairly productive in any case. Guess I'd better try and get a bit more work done. TTYL!
 
Its late, but I wanted to post. I did get a workout in this morning. 45 mostly jogging. It's weird, today I jogged over 2 miles before walking, but on Wednesday I could barely go 1/2 mile without walking. I wish my endurance would be more consistent. Oh well at least I got a work out in. Now I need to go marked in on my calender. Anyone else using their calender?

Hi guys!

Roxie, I was out socialising last night and got home late and I was ready for bed, so I did, just that, went to bed.

I think I gave myself a challenge to get to Thursday, which I failed! However, since my sulk fest, I havn't been 100% on the eats job, but I havn't failed either. So thats been good.

Workout was PS legs, which I had to do without the dvd, so really, i've got no bleeping idea what I'm doing, and I always do waaaaay too many reps. So, I've done what I could (shrug).

Amelia - I live under a bloody rock! I must! I had no idea your hubby lost his job in December. I remember he was "down" but missed the whole unemployed part. This is awful for you. I will get Miss 9 to pray for you. I will keep you in my thoughts. Hang in there. If you need to vent or chat, we are here for you babe!

Andrea _ I read in a womens health mag recently that Wii fit burns heaps of calories and that its a good way to "exercise" when you don't really "want" to exercise. It was listed as one of the activities to do.


I'll check in tomorrow after the Aust Road Cycling Champs. Its the mens road race tomorrow and they are awesome! And quite nice on the eye too. The champs are held around the mountain where I live, so I go and watch. " I'm a bit of an arm chair professional cyclist". love it.

Today is 30 day shred and then cleanmax, laundrymax, wal-martmax, and getting my nails done.

Amelia-hugs to you and your family from what I am hearing things in the job area are only going to get worse for alot of people due to the recession. My bosses have told us not to clock in early and leave right on time.

Andrea-welcome back missed you. I remember you talking about the cycling last year.

Jean-good job getting a workout in. I sometimes have those days when I just can't go as hard.

AndreaH-you will eventually be able to get your workouts in just keep doing your wii whenever you can. DH is leaving town next week so I am going to try to use ours more.

Elaine-I am really considering ordering PS this week so I can have it for the last week of the rotation and doing next week with you guys.

Becca-how was PS legs? Do you think you are seeing great results from this rotation?

Hello all!

Well, yesterday I missed my WO. :( I kept putting it off and then in the evening I ending up going to Bunco at a friend's house and ate way too much. So I did PS Legs &Abs today. I will run tomorrow instead of taking a rest day and I may also add on some 4DS cardio. We'll see what mood I am in.

Roxie, How are you liking Shred so far? I have heard good things about it. I am doing fine with this rotation. I have lost all my Christmas weight. It's the weight that has taken up residence that I would like to evict. Hopefully it will go soon! I do enjoy this rotation, but I miss my kettlebell. :( It has been so sad and lonely without me.

Andrea, enjoy the cycling! That sounds like a lot of fun to watch.

Jean, good job on getting the jog in! I use my calendar, too. I love to put those little stickers on after I do my WO. It's like my own little gold star. :)

AndreaH, I hope DS's party goes well!

Elaine, great WO! Enjoy the pinewood derby! Our boys had one in November and they had a blast.

Amelia, praying for you and DH! What's your WO plan for today?

Have a fantastic weekend, all! We have some beatiful snow and the kids and I did some sledding today. Hopefully we will all get snowed in for a couple of days. A good winter hibernation sounds nice. :p
 
Today was some more 1 RM tests. There sure are a lot of them. Oh well at least I get to put another mark on my calender. The sad thing is I haven't even really looked through it since getting it. The nice part though is having Cathe right over my workout area.

Becca, enjoy your snow. Bunco sounds like a fun night out. I used to sometimes sub in our neighborhood years ago. I'm not even sure if they still have the group going any more.

Amelia, definitely keeping DH and you in my prayers. Hope he finds something soon. If not, can he find something temporary not in his regular field, while he continues to look for openings in his field? I can't imagine the stress. My heart goes out to you.

Andrea, enjoy the cycling show. Since these are athletes the view should be great. It's the view of non athletes in biker shorts that ain't so pretty.

Andrea H, hope you have fun with the Bday celebrations. You brought up good memories of back when I was on WW and I used to do so well. I wish I could find that motivation again. The thread we were on together was fun too. I remember the pushup wars between Gayle and Kari on the "Get out of bed and exercise" thread and all the other stuff we talked about.

Roxie, have fun with your 30 day shred and all your max's. I need to do most of those too.

Elaine, what did you do to your hip? I don't remember what you have said about it before. I'm glad it is better though. I wish I knew what was up with leg. It's not constant so I can't go to the doctor and say, "Well its not hurting today, but sometimes it does this".

Andrea~Good Luck with your WW online! Im not familar with Jenny Craig or Nutrasystem....ive had success with logging all my food on my fitness pal . My problem is being consistant in logging my food. I guess im close to my goal weight because one slip up and i don't lose a thing that week. Im thinking about not weight in but once a month so that way I don't focus on the WI so much(ive been known to get on it everyday too). I measured on the first and weighed in on the first.....Good luck to you! What workout you doing today?

Jean-How are you doing today? Thanks for the prayers,my dh has put an application in just about everything that he would and could do(besides in his field). Im sure someone will call back for an interview soon....im still praying every night.

Becca-Great job with Ps legs and abbs yesterday! Sounds like you had fun sleading with your kids....i kinda wish we could get some snow soon here. My kids would be on cloud nine! Enjoy your run today!

Roxie-How was 30 day shred yesterday? I use to get my nails done religously every two weeks....do you get a manicure or do the acrylic thing?

Elaine-LOL at your post yesterday...I couldn't imagine walking with my DH either. When i walk im pretty much going as fast as i can handle. Thanks for the hugs....

Today I am going to do TJs cardio party 2 that I was suppose to do wednesday and then do TBS later. We have a family get together this afternoon for my DHs family so I want to burn off some calories before we go. I can see feel results from what I am doing but the scale and tape measure are not changing so I think I am going to be like Amelia and only wt. once a month.

Amelia-I get the acrylic thing done just started before thanksgiving. I don't like the way they do it around here but what can you do, they put fake nails on first then the acrylic stuff. Where I use to live it was sculptured nails so they lasted longer. I don't mind 30 day shred just don't think its long enough I want to try to do it twice one day this week.

Andrea-how was the bike race?

Becca-is there any way you can use kettlebells instead of wts?

Jean-managed to accomplish all but 1 max but I can mop the kitchen floor today.

Today is the day I'm finally going to get back on the Wii Fit. The sleepover boys are still here, but have simply been angels! They played shoot 'em up before dinner last night (& before breakfast this morning), but have otherwise just played cards, talked & watched movies. They're playing the new Clone Wars game on the Wii right now.

Jean, I don't have that same motivation I had on the old "Get Outta Bed" thread either! I knew I couldn't compete w/ Gayle & Kari on pushups, but I got so I could do some and they also helped me build my confidence for running a 5K. There's still a thread over there, but it's just not the same...

Amelia, what I want about Jenny Craig or NutriSystem is the prepackaged, preportioned meals. Just don't want all the processed crap & preservatives. It seems like I'm always in such a rush between work & kid stuff that I just don't have (or make) the time to get good healthy meals together. I'm trying to get in the habit of cooking large amounts of stuff on the WE so it's just ready to go during the week. It helps a lot.

Hope everyone is doing well today - I may stop back later, but if not I'll try to check in tomorrow from the office! TTFN!

ive got the 30 day shred coming in the mail monday....should be here tues or wednesday. I'll let you know how I like it. What does sculptured nails mean? When i use to get them done they would put the fake tip on then with a small brush, gather the acrylic on the nail and kinda sculpt it to the shape of my nail....is that what your talking about? Eventually(after several years) I got tired of going but i do miss them. I use to get them spray painted with different designs too...tropical scens and stuff like that

I agree with ya about the prepackaged meals...too much stuff in them and the sodium is ridiculous. I try to only eat them maybe once or twice a month. I use to cook in bulk...don't know why i stopped? When I followed Body for Life i would cook alot at one time and then package in portions and freeze, your right it did help alot. Soup is easy to do like that. I also use to make that chicken salsa stuff which is basicly chicken breast thrown in a crock pot covered with a jar of salsa and cooked slowly. I would take about 4oz(eyeball it) and wrap them in WW wraps....then freeze them. Have you tried them before? Easy and clean.

can you guys tell im a chatter box today,LOL. My kids are at my moms,my DH just walked over to his moms so im all by myself(and i don't mind it,lol)

Hi girls.

Very very quick post. chat more tonight. I didn't workout yesturday. My legs are soooo sore! They are soreer? is there such a word? Sorer today.

Roxie =- I'm loving this rotation but no results. Perhaps thats something to do with my eating??:(

Holy inner thighs, Batman! I was so sore today after PS legs! I didn't realize the first set of plie squats was a "warm-up" set so I kept my weighted vest on and picked up a 15 lb dumbbell. Crikey! My thighs were screaming at me! It was painful to walk quickly through the grocery store during my emergency pull-up run. Tonight I did my couch to 5k run/walk intervals and then seg 2 of TBS. Very nice. Helped work some of the soreness out.

Roxie, Kettlebells are a different kind of workout, more like circuit training, I guess. So I could use my KB instead of DB, but I miss the whole KB WO. I have Lauren Brooks' DVD and it goes in cycles. She kicks your fanny for 2 minutes then you rest for one, butt-kicking resumes for 2 then rest for one, etc. And the moves are cardio and strength all rolled into one. If I wasn't doing the Couch to 5K, I would just throw a KB wo in on a cardio day since you don't go to muscle failure with KB's. I may add a shorter WO to my run one day this week.

Andrea, the eating is my downfall as well. :confused: Let's clean up our eating until Tuesday, 'kay? I have eaten all the chocolate out of this house, so I am ready to start fresh.

AndreaH, how was the wii fit? Sounds like a good time!

Amelia, do you still get manicures? I did acrylics for a while, but was bad about keeping up with them. My nails are now recovering from acrylics that I had in August. Once they are all better, I am going to get a manicure and see if that will help them grow nice and pretty. I always love the look of acrylics, I'm just bad about the upkeep. :(

Jean, how are the 1RM's going? I am still stuck at 2.....Someday!
