Default 12 Week Challenge - Monday 3/24

Hi everyone. Hope you had a wonderful Easter weekend. Mine was full of too many sweets.

So how's everyone doing. I know I haven't been around much lately. I really need to focus and get it together. This first 12 week challenge was kind of a bomb for me. Not much improvement in weight or endurance or strength. Hope everyone else did better than me. If not, I know how you feel. At least I maintained and didn't gain so that's a good thing. I'm going to be reviewing things this week and hopefully set a new plan into motion to accomplish the new me. Summer is right around the corner and it would be great if I can see some improvement by then.

So how many of us are up for continuing the check in? Throw out your ideas for a new name.

Here are 2 I thought of:
The Next 12 Weeks
Challenge Yourself

Good morning, Jean! Nice to see you around these parts again! LOL I LOVE the name "The Next 12 Weeks"! We'll see what everybody else says!

How DID everybody do???? What are your plans and goals NOW? Check them out, revise them, and set NEW ones! Let's move forward!

I, for one, started a brand spanking-new challenge. The BFL Tracker site is hosting 3 new contests/challenges, and I'm participating in the 26 week one! 26 WEEKS!!!!! IMAGINE what difference I will make in 26 weeks! That's HALF A YEAR! LOL

Gayle

p.s. it started this morning with P90X Chest, Shoulders & Tris! OUCH!

Good Morning Gals!:)

Im not so sure I am up for another 12 week challenge. Im thinking more along the lines of a 6 week one. 12 weeks seems soooo far away and that always gives me time to cheat b/c I have many weeks left to go. I thinking if I do a 6 week one then that will keep me more focused. I also like the name "the challengers" as well.

Although the scale did go up a couple of pounds for me, I did get some nice definition in my UB and my tri's mostly!
Over the next 6 weeks I am focusing on circuit work with 1 week of heavy lifting in between and lots 'o running. Its been a week and a bit since I lifted a heavy db and the scale is going back down already so I think that is the culprit in my weight gain.

Gayle** 26 weeks?:o Couldn't do it! hehe To much time to fall and get back up a million times;) Good luck and let us know what your goals are!

Jean** So I guess I answered your questions with the above post:) No 12 weeks...just a 6 week:)

Have a good day everyone:)
Lori:)

Good Morning Jean,Gayle

I love the name "Challenge yourself" or one I thought of "The Challengers" But I actually like Challenge yourself better,LOL

The next 12 weeks is a pretty cool name too...im flexable,LOL;-)

I am starting a new challenge today as well,I have a couple of goals...my first goal is to get through today without a cheat(aka easter candy, snack in the evenings) and the second goal is to NOT cheat until my cheat meal on saturday! another goal is to read a book or something when I feel the need to emotionally eat. Im also going to TRY and stay OFF the scale until saturday.

Over the past 12 weeks I have gained much strength in lifting, going up on all my muscles so thats on thing Ive accomplished! And as I mention last night-I did lose 9lbs,not sure if ive gained any back thoughx(...i haven't weighed in over three days. Ive also lost inches too!

anyhoot-Todays workout is Abbs on the bench,LB(not sure which one yet)and a 30min powerwalk at different inclines. I did a powerwalk yesterday evening and found my heart rate really climbing when I was inclined, gradually raising to 8%. It was really fun!

Morning--
Just posting my results. I think allot of us have finished-- and some just disappeared.

I followed this checkin daily-- and it has done wonders for my 12 weeks. I was successful in my goal of weight loss and amazingly my Body fat dropped like crazy. eating was and is still on track--like Ive said in my other posts--This is a life style-- No excuses for me.

I did not miss one workout-- my running is amazing. Who would have thought I can run 12miles all in one day--LOL!

I am starting a new 12 week or possible 16 week running thing along with goals of muscle definition etc. I won't be weighting so much-- or I won't be a slave to the scale. This time around- for fun--cause I know Ive lost inches BIG TIME--I will be measuring parts. Who knows what results I'll see.

Gayle: Nice of ya to checkin Good luck in your new challenge.

Jean: Life gets busy hon-- don't beat yourself up. Start NEW :)

Amelia: I saw you were back hon :) This is a new start right? :)

Lori: You posted same time as I. I'm with on the 26 week being too risky for falling-- :) Something shorter sounds good :)

Good luck everyone. And I'm glad I joined this 12 weeks ago. Now it's onto bigger and hopfully better results --if thats possible... cause I can't believe I was able to achieve all my goals :)

Off to run. Have a great MOnday

Hello all!

Well, I have been very excited by the results I have seen. I definitely want to continue. I'm thinking a 6 week challenge sounds right up my alley. Summer will be here soon. I do plan on continuing to WO as I have. I need to put my focus on controlling my eating. I am doing the Beth Moore "Daniel" Bible Study and one of the things she says, in regards to over-indulging in anything, is "I can, but I won't." So when those Reese's peanut butter eggs were calling me yesterday, I kept saying, "I can, but I won't." :-) I didn't eat a single one! The peach cobbler that we had for dessert.....a whole different story.....

I have started reading the Abs Diet for Women and am thinking about incorporating some of those principles into my diet. I am not one who follows an eating plan well. I need to have choices, but I know that I need to plan my menus, so I am going to use some of those.

I am so glad to see we have had many successes! How encouraging!

Jean, no wt gain is very helpful! Time to start fresh!

Amelia, how is your sick kiddo doing? WTG in the great losses! Time to refocus!

Lori, I am all about shorter goals as well. It's easier to stick with it.

Kath, I think you have just done AWESOME! You are such an inspiration! I hope you will continue to check in with us.

Gayle, I would love to hear how that 26 week challenge goes. Keep us posted.

Alright, I am off to feed one more child and WO: 4DS LIS.

Have a great Monday!

Hi everyone - I didn't change too much over this past 12 weeks, but did gain some great friends in all of you and a new sense of commitment. I struggles a bit these past 12 weeks, but am fully ready and prepared for another challenge - 6 weeks sounds great!!! That will put me right at my Turbo Kick certification week, and I NEED to make some serious changes before then. I want to be totally prepared: mentally, emotional and especially physically for that certification.

I LOVE "challenge yourself" and maybe stick in there 6 weeks or something to set it apart from the other check ins.

I'll be ready for whatever our wonderful group comes up with.

Today, two classes tonight to teach - I have today off yet, so I'll be ready and waiting for those ladies to walk through that gym door to work hard.

Take care all, be back later
Marcia.

Hi,

I would like to join your challenge. I've been reading your challenge posts sense the start of your last one. I am not sure if I can post every day, sometimes life gets in the way.

I am 42 yrs old and have two boys(13 and 7). I would like to lose between 10-15 pounds. It gets increasingly harder the older I get.

I do well with my workouts and eating during the week, but come the weekend, watch out!

My main goal is to be more dilignet about my eating.

I am starting a rotation with the 4DS workouts.
Today I did ABs and HIS & LIS cardio only.

Have a great day!

Elaine

Welcome, Elaine! Glad that you can join us! I am doing a 4DS rotation as well. I am incorporating running with mine because I am planning on running a 4 mile race the first weekend in May (my first! :-) )

I look forward to getting to know you. Post when you can!
