Hello ladies!

Just starting up the thread for this week. As the holidays approach, here's hoping we can keep up the good work with our workouts as schedules get filled with things to do and foods to eat :)

My plan this week is to focus on yoga everyday, walk whenever I can, and hopefully fit in a disc or two of the low impact series.

Oh, and turns out I'm not all done my Christmas prep - I'm hosting this year and have been informed by my older brother I have to make stockings for my folks :) And we're definitely having a tree (doesn't always happen depending on what's going on), so that gets set up sometime late this week...oh and if we can finish the basement renovations that would be a miracle, but it's certainly on my letter to Santa :p

Happy Monday!!

Jennifer

First off - hugs to you, Jennifer! My word - don't you just love how you got volunteered to do all that extra work???? :p I would say that yoga sounds like a great way to get through all that!!;)
Hey, Cathy - how are things going?
I started off the week yesterday with a bad bang. I woke up unable to see out of my left eye. I have a thing called Fuchs' Dystrophy (pronounced long U sound - I know, I know, I giggled when I first saw the word, too...). So, basically, I knew this could happen to me some day, but I was diagnosed about 5 years ago, & everything had stayed stable until yesterday. I can see better today, but everything is very blurry & hazy. I have an appointment with my eye specialist tomorrow afternoon, so after that I'll know what's what. The only cure is a cornea transplant. In April, he told me that I was years away from that... Sigh...
I did Athletic Training yesterday (hoped all that sweating would clear my vision... not...). Don't know what I'll do tonight - maybe Low Impact Challenge.
Hugs to you both - & if you believe in prayer, I could use a few sent up for me! Thanks!
Jane

Hi Jane & Jennifer,
Today I did Shiva's Fluid Power premix Yoga for about 40 min.:)

JenniferSounds as if you have a very busy week coming up!
Yoga sounds like a great plan!:D

Jane: I'm very sorry about your eye!:(:( My prayers are with you along with hugs!:)

Take care both,
Cathy

Hi gals!
I didn't do any workout last evening, since I got home late. I did Slow & Heavy legs & shoulders on Monday night. I'll be doing something from Slow & Heavy again tonight. I'm finally starting back lifting weights, & I'm loving it! I had missed it SO much! My Dr. gave me an anti-inflammatory gel to rub on my elbow if it starts acting up, so that's good.
I can see a bit better out of my left eye today. The eye Dr. looked at it yesterday, & wants me to go back in a week... There's nothing anyone can do until it gets bad enough that insurance will OK a cornea transplant, so that seems kinda silly, but how else are they going to get $$?
Jennifer - how's your hectic schedule doing?
Cathy - good to see that you're keeping up your workouts! Thanks for the prayers & hugs - they are SO appreciated!
Hugs to you both!

Hey Ladies! Sorry for not being around for a couple of days!

Cathy - good job on the workouts! Such discipline :)

Jane - I'm so glad to hear you're doing okay with your eye and everything else too. I'm looking forward to getting back to heavy weights in the new year. For now I'm sticking to my yoga plan and I have to say it's going great!

I've been increasing the length of my yoga practices gradually, and will be up to an hour a day (I hope) sometime next week. I can feel my strength improving. I'm also feeling far better than I have for weeks now. The weakness problems in my left leg seem to have resolved, and overall my pain is far less, ditto with the fatigue! Which is a good thing, since I'm singing tomorrow with a friend at my grandmother's condo Xmas party, and the big choir concert is this weekend too. I've managed pretty much all my Christmas preparations from a decorations and gift standpoint, so next week with just be cleaning the house, and rearranging the place a bit to accommodate guests.

It's a gorgeous cold crisp day here, so I'm thinking a walk for sure, in addition to my yoga practice. I hope you all have a great day as well, and hopefully I'll manage to check in a bit more regularly for the next few days!

Good Morning All,
Nothing yesterday.
I might check-in later!

Jane:Great on S & H! I'm also with you on missing the weight lifting! I'm lost if I can't lift for more than a week!:D
It doesn't make sense sometimes to delay certain medical procedures!:( Have they added you to a list yet? Your in my thoughts & prayers!:) Take care & hugs:D

JenniferI'm glad the Yoga is working well or you & your leg is doing better!:D Enjoy your Christmas party at your Grandma's & also good luck & enjoy your choir concert:D Take care & hugs,

Cathy

Hi ladies! We had our employee holiday luncheon today, & I am stuffed! Trying not to fall asleep...:p My DH's is tonight, which means no work out for me :(. I'll be glad when the holiday parties are over! TOO much good food! Yowza!
I did Slow & Heavy Triceps & Biceps last night. The elbow is a little twingy, but nothing major, so I'm glad. I don't know if I'll ever be able to do another STS rotation, but that IS my plan.
Jennifer: That's great news about your yoga practice! I'm so glad to hear how well you're doing! Good luck with both of your singing engagements. Hope all the standing doesn't set you back any.
Cathy: No, they haven't put me on a list yet. I go back to the Dr. on Tuesday, so hopefully I'll know something more then. Thanks for your hugs & prayers. It means a lot!

Hi all,
Today I started STS Meso 2, so it was Disc 13 & a walk plus Shiva's Fluid Power from the matrix for 40 min!:D
Hope everyone had a good weekend & it's finally snowing here!!:D
Will try to check-in tomorrow!
Cathy
