**Crazy, Strong & Loving It for 5/18**

Morning everyone. Thank you so much for the condolences. I am doing well but will miss my dad terribly. He was my hero.

Today began my supersets week. Had a great workout even though I really didn't feel like working out. Once I got started I was good to go.

Worked Back & Chest today.

8 minute warmup on treadmill.

45 second rest between each superset.

BACK/CHEST
SS #1
Unassisted Chinups: 9/5/5
superset w/
Barbell Bench Press: 70# - 8 reps; 80# - 8/8 reps
***Bench press felt really light at 70#. Not too happy with my chins.

SS #2
T-Bar Row: 55# - 10/10/10
superset w/
Incline Barbell Press: 60#/10; 65# - 10/10
***Didn't count the bar weight here because I'm not sure how much it weighs. I'm thinking 10#. I liked this superset.

SS #3
Low Incline Pullover: 40# - 12/12/12
superset w/
High Incline Dumbbell Flye: 30's - 12/12/9
***Last set of flyes about killed me. I liked this superset too. Chest was on fire.

That is all....

Morning Debbie- glad you are back. I have thought of you all week. Glad you had a good workout.

I did STS Disc 13- chest, shoulders and triceps. I did not blow dry my hair because I'm not sure I could have held up my arms that long. It was a great workout- LOVE this disc. :) Then I did C&W abs and stretch.

I tried a new protein drink today after my workout- Nature's Best Isopure Dietary Supplement. It was great- comes in a nice assortment of fruit flavors. I only drank half though- just didn't want all of it.

Have a great day everyone!

Good morning everyone - I'm on vacation today - the day looks like a good one. Unfortunately I have a 7-10 page essay to finish for my class before I can go out and enjoy. I've gotten in my last chest and back workout for Meso 3 and have had some starbucks so I should be wired for the rest of the morning. Time to kick it into gear and get this paper done pronto! I've got to get my car checked out by the dmv (can't believe it cost so much to register your car these days!), I've got some shopping to do, and many weeds to pull in the yard. Augh. I did burn 254 calories during my sts workout so I feel good about that. The scale has also been down for the last week so I am happy about that too. I wonder if its this really heavy lifting in meso 3 that has kicked my metabolism into gear?? I really haven't been enjoying meso 3 all that much because all of the discs are the same each week - just heavier weights and less reps. I guess it must be doing something. Hmm.

Ok, that is my rant for today. I am going to try to post some pictures later of our weekend project of the driveway. I'll also try to take some photos of the part of the gym that is finished...:)

Debbie - I'm glad to see you back today. I hope you're doing alright. We are all here for you if you need it. :)

Roxie - If I had 400+ calories to spare I would have a scoop of vanilla custard with strawberries on top! :) Oh wait, you wanted a healthier option.... My fav. is a can of tuna with some light mayo. I love tuna.

Good morning. I was gone all last week so I'm starting Meso 3 all over again this week. I also retested my triceps yesterday for my 1 rep max because my form was awful the last time I worked them so I hope this makes a difference on those darn bat wings!

Debbie-I didn't know about your dad since I wasn't on the computer all last week. I'm so sorry to hear your news. How fortunate you were to have someone like that in your life to look up to! My sincere sympathy.

Has anyone ever tried either Trader Joe's or Costco protein powder? I've been using Cytosport's Evopro but I'm getting tired of having to order it all the time.

Have a great day everyone.

Bev

Hopefully this link works - these are some before and after pics of the one side of our driveway we expanded with pavers...my whole body was absolutely sore by the end of the day. I think it was worth it though.

Thanks everyone! It has been hard but as they say, life goes on. I'm trying to keep my head up. I have never been a person to wallow in self-pity. He is in good hands now and that comforts me to no end.

Nora - I have been using your bean pillows for my hamstrings the last couple nights. Let me tell you, they make them feel SO GOOD! Still very tight right now, but after I sit on them for a while I'll stretch my hamstrings and it makes it easier to do so. Those things are AWESOME! And I love the way they smell! I hope you read this!

Karen: Very cool! I'm impressed. Plus, just think of how many calories you burned doing all that work!

Bev: My 1RMs are off on some stuff- I really use the recommended weight as a guideline and try to increase it as I can and in accordance with the increases as Cathe does in the program. Sometimes I can, sometimes I can't. My triceps have been sore after EVERY stinking tricep workout so far, though. I figure that's something! :)

Hi girls,

I had an appointment with my doctor on base today, he is taking more blood test. Soon I am not gonna have any left:p

I just got done with my workout! Don’t laugh, I did Total Body Sculpting. I was only 30 min. I will not even post how much weight I lifted! LOL! I needed a change today!

Debbie, I am so sorry you are going through this! You are still in my thoughts and prayer. We are here for you if you need it. Glad you got your workout in today! You don’t like cottage cheese, lol?

Bev** glad you are back! Good for you starting meso 3 again, enjoy your workout today. And yes, moving furniture counts as a workout. Are gonna redo all your 1RM?

Patti** nice job with disc 13 today! I miss STS! Where did you buy your new drink? Glad you liked it.

Roxie** have fun with Push Circuit tonight!

Karen** great job finishing STS! Have fun with your essay today. I had to laugh about all your projects, hope you and your husband will finish them soon. Don’t start another one, ok! LOL! Cool driveway!

It's getting late here in Germany, I will catch up with your guy's in the A.M.

Have a great day, everyone!

Hey Everyone..

Nice to see you back, Debbie! I'm glad you were able to push yourself into your workouts, I think they help us emotionally, more than we know. (((hugs)))

I started the Circuit City Rotation today. I'm going to change things up a bit, to try to get more runs in on the cardio days, but try to stick with the format. I did High Step Training -Advanced a little bit ago. WOW!! Not sure if it's because I just got off a working weekend and don't sleep much, or my body isn't used to it, but it was tough stuff! I'd never done this one before, unwrapped the shrink wrap just today! (bought it a long time ago, though).

Karen: NICE job on the driveway! I'm sure it was a ton of work, but worth it, it's gorgeous!

Belinda: Good to hear you're not letting the sinus thing slide and seeing the doc with it. Hope they can help!!!.. I think lighter weight workouts are a great idea to mix up the tubing work. Let us know how things go with the bloodwork!!

Patti:I read your posts about your speedbump last week. it happens to the best of us. Sometimes i think we need that little lull to help us refocus. Good to see you're back on track!!

Roxie: I like the idea of a greek yogurt or maybe some cottage cheese/fruit snack. Or a veggies/pizza on a high fiber tortilla or Flat out?

gotta get myself in the shower....see you guys later..

Ok dinner was 2 tortilla rollups with ff cream cheese ham and turkey. I wish I could like cottage cheese its a texture and curdle milk factor. Who was it that puts rolled oats in the microwave I want to try that but forgot what you said. Even with the rollups I am still under 1400cals

;)Good evening very late here Ladies!

Here's today's (Monday) workout:

KCM- Cardio Kick Step boxing2= Horizontal premix w/abs+stretch=47.50 minutes. Lots of fun, love the kickbox and step combo. I just need to do it a few more times to have it down and get used to KCM's choreography style.
Calories burned= 513

STS-Meso 3 week 4, Disc #34 Chest & Back= 68 minutes
calories burned= 528

I'm super late tonight. I had lots of interruptions when doing STS Disc#34. So, I just finished it and it was another good one. I like finishing up with dumbells that felt nice. I also felt like the weight I was using as per the workout card and my 1 rep max was dead on. Great workout today.

Debbie- Again I'm so sorry to hear about your dad. Your in my prayers sending you hugs;) Oh, good about the corn pillows. I'm so glad your seeing how amazing they are on sore/tight muscles. They are very relaxing and soothing. I do love the smell as well. I hate the perfumey ones that are similar but not made with feed corn and have a lot of herbs and essential oils in them. My nose can't take that. I'm interested in making sore muscles relax and soothe, rather than the perfumey effect. You'll find corn pillows are highly addictive, I know I am. :p

Wow! WTG on your workouts today ladies. I see as usual I'm the one bringing up the rear being the last to check in. LOL!!!

Belinda- Are you feeling better and breathing easy now? I hope so. Hugs!

Karen- I hope you finished your paper and that its awesome. So now, you can breathe a sigh of relief and break out a happy dance.:p

I just had to add the recipes you all are posting sound so yummy, not something I should be reading or thinking about at this late hour in Oregon. Oh well, its still yummy.

I will try to make checkin much earlier tomorrow.

Hugs to everyone!;)

Nora
