Hey ladies!! Thought I'd start a new thread. Maybe that'll get you all out of hiding :+

I did do P90X+ ab work last night (pats self on back) I have to say this is the most effective ab routine that I've run across.

Today is upper body and I'm planning 4ds upper body premix.

Linda, is WS still working for you?

Joanne, are you still cleaning up after the tornado?

Ooooh Catherine-sorry you are lonely.

We have been so busy with the clean up. I just can't wait to be back into our normal routine.

I did do 3 chins today (not in row but here and there).

Sorry, I've been away. Just really busy and trying to catch up on things, life is feeling kind of out of control. Anyway this has been my second week of WS and these w/o are exhausting! I couldn't imagine doing this any longer than four weeks!

Strenght
Squat to parallel hold for 2 seconds
8/8/8/8 - 112#

as many sets of 12 in ten minutes
Circuit C -
Romanian Deadlift
5 sets of 12 - 97#
Swiss Ball Crunch
5 sets of 12 - did first few sets with 5#, then wanted to puke so put it down.

Circuit D
Step Ups
5 sets of 12 - 12's
DB Swing
5 sets of 12 - 32#

Interval A
Max intensity 30 sec., 90 recovery for 6 rounds- used 4DS BC drills 1,2,3,5,6,8

Tuesday
Cardio - High intensity 1 min, moderate intensity 2 min, 4 rounds. % minutes low intensity then 20 minutes moderate.
I used DM Drill #5 for HI, Than ran arounf w/o area for MI, did the practice section from AB ASC for 5 min, than combos 1 & 2 for 20 min MI.

Three Point DB Row

Push Up And Prone Jack knife on ball
7 sets of 6
Reverse Lunge w/ db offset

Circuit B
Squat & Press
7 sets of 6 - 22's
Chin ups/Lat Pulldowns
7 sets of 6 - 1 unassisted, 4 assisted, than form got ugly because forearms were burning so I switched to lat pulldowns with a band for last two sets

Interval b
Max Intensity 2 min, recovery 2 minutes, 3 rounds, use AB BC drills 1, 2, 5, walked in place for recovery

Thursday
Cardio - High intensity 1 min, moderate intensity 2 min, 4 rounds. % minutes low intensity then 20 minutes moderate.
I used IMAX2 intervals 2,5,6 & 7 for HI, Than did combos 3,6,7,8 for MI, did the warm up from AB ASC for 5 min, than combos 1,2 & 3 for 20 min MI.

Hey Linda, I am glad you checked in. I was getting worried about you!! I hope things calm down a bit for you. Life just shouldn't be this crazy should it?

I applaud you on your workouts. I am exhausted just reading them :p

I did upper body this evening. Increasing wts a bit but still sticking to 8 reps per set. Tomorrow is legs again }(

Thought I'd pop in for a quick moment and let you know how warp speed is going. First I've been burning the candle at both ends and going non-stop and my stomach has been bothering me a bit recently. Anyway, I woke up yesterday and was suppose to start week 3 of WS speed and was filled with complete dread, especially of doing all those chins. So I think the intensity of WS, at least the way I've done it has burned me out in just two weeks and has left me with pain in my left wrist. So yesterday I just took a break from it and mustard the motivation to at least do 4DS LIS cardio. Then spent the day mulling over how I could change up WS to get through the next two weeks. Today was week 3 day 1 and here is what I came up with.

Strenght
Squat to parallel w/ 2 sec hold
8/8/8/8 - 105#
**Dropped weight by 7#, and concentrated on hold at bottom***

Circuit A - sets of 6 for 10 minutes
Pushups & prone jack knifes on ball w/
Reverse Lunge with cable offset
7 rounds - ***used PP handles with pushup & jack knifes with no rotation but lots of stabilizing going on, but was good for the wrist.
***used 2 purple dynabands doubled up (so basically x 4) for reverse lunge (I loved this set up, really felt this in the abs)

Circuit B - sets of 6 for 10 minutes
Squat and Press
10 rounds - 20's
Lat pull downs
10 rounds
***used 2 purple dynabands together wrapped around my chin up bar until shorten enough to give me some really good tension. Should feel this this morning as I have never done lat pull downs.

Cardio - 6 rounds - 30 seconds high, 90 seconds easy
Intervals - forward jumping, suicides, traveling speed skaters, speed skaters again, suicides again, then forward bounding. Just walk around or whatever for recovery.


No rest for the weary by the way!
 
Been a crazy week for me as well. Joanne had a tornado?????? I've missed a lot. How much damage?? Hope your clean up is going okay. I live 3 miles from Ontario, Wisconsin and we got hit with the rain these past few days. Out of power for a day, driveway is a bit washed away, but all in all did pretty well. I drove into Ontario because we had our truck parked there to be worked on at a station and it had been 1/2 under water so it is currently airing out. When I was in town, the news station was setting up to video tape all the damage.

On a fun note...we had a garage sale at our church this past Saturday. It began to rain and our kids went out to play in the thunderstorm (am I a good mom or what - ha ha) and my oldest ds, age 18, picked me up and threw me in the lake that formed behind the church. Waters rose to about 3 feet in the grassy ditches within minutes!! So I swam in ditches this weekend!!! Fun fun fun.

I did S&Arms from P90X today and am going to walk the drive now. You guys are doing awesome on your workouts!! Keep it up!! And thanks for posting them - they are encouraging!

I just looked back to the last thread and saw all the damage that Joanne received in the tornado. Oh my girl...I'm thankful you didn't loose your home. So sorry to hear of all this. Where were you when the tornado passed over?

Linda...don't you dare think it's you that is effecting this thread!! Summer is really a busy time and I only get to check in every so often. I LOVE to see your workouts posted and please know that you are really motivating me!!! I would like to get back to some hard core lifting again!! MUCH NEEDED!!!

My dh is just completing a 40 juice only fast. He's amazing. He really leaned out. Now I wish he could start working out with ME!!!! He is very physically fit as his job demands it, but it's still different doing regular lifting!!

When's the STS coming out????? I've had no time to check on this!

Linda, what do you mean dreading the w/o esp the chinups. That's just blasphemy!! :p Girl, I think you are smart to modify. I don't know how you do that much intensity for so long. And didn't you say you lowered your carbs too??? If I am working that intense, I really need my carbs. Kinda defeats the purpose, I know, if you are trying to lose.

BRIEE!!! Glad to hear from you!!! I was worried you had some bad weather too. Well, sounds like you had some, but you are ok. Please be careful playing in flood waters. I know it was fun, but you never know when the water might rage up on you. Sorry I am just a worry wart.

I did KPC this evening and even included the abs!! Yippee for me!! I didn't workout yesterday because of a migraine x( It was supposed to e 4ds upper body. I will just miss it. If I weren't working upper body twice a week I would've made it up.

Ms Joanne, I hope you are still doing ok and surviving the storm recovery!!

Oh, and Briee, we still don't have a date on STS release. They did post an opening score clip on the home page though ;)

Catherine - I know, can you believe I posted that in a chin up thread!:p But I think it was just the fact that the sets were done basically back to back with no rest and for ten minutes. I mean the rest is six squat press so what are we talking 30 seconds if I was lucky? I am just not strong enough at them to keep that pace. So instead of hating chin ups forever I thought I'd just give them up for now and do them later with a nice split routine at a sane pace! :p Besides my wrists are aching so bad.
 
Hello chinstas!! Today was weighted chinups (5 pounds) and GSL standing leg work (will do the floor work on Saturday) My chinups were 5,5,5,5& 4/1. I was sooooooo hoping not to have to assist on that last set to get to 5 x( Well then I did 2 sets of 5 at body weight ;) Now I am ready for bed!!

Anyone else chinning or pulling???

I just completed LL. I tried to do B&G last night and IMMEDIATELY my knee hurt. I am so sick of this knee thing. For some reason LL seems to strengthen it. I'm realizing that I REALLY need a long warm up and once I seem to get "warmth" into the knee...then I can get through the workout. But one wrong twist and it hurts terribly again. Getting old stinks!!!!

I WILL try to do chins today....just for Catherine. :) :) :) :)

Joanne...what are you doing for workouts these days??? I've been so up and down in the past year...its makin me crazy! BUT I HAVE THESE WONDERFUL CATHE FRIENDS TO KEEP ME MOVING!!!! Love ya guys!!
