Default mixing STS with circuit or Crossfit-type workouts?

Hi all - longtime lurker, first-time (!) poster looking for some rotation feedback. Has anyone tried mixing STS with either circuit workouts or Crossfit-style workouts? I'm considering mixing STS with workouts from Sean Burch's Hyperfitness program (a mix of cardio intervals incorporating full body plyo/muscle endurance elements and bootcamp-ish strength workout). I love the gains in speed, endurance, and plyo-type power I've made doing this program so would like to keep doing that. But I would also love to add some serious strength training on top of that. So my goal is to maintain the more functional fitness gains I've made with Hyperfitness but to gain strength.

I was considering a six month rotation doing Hyperfitness one week and then STS plus some other cardio a second week. So it would be a 3 month STS workout stretched over 6 months.

I understand that this was not the intent under which STS was designed and that may compromise the strength gains. I was wondering if anyone else had tried something like this. Or if anybody had any thoughts on this plan?

Posting this on STS too..

Thanks!
