The New Workout Manager 3.0

Our new Free Workout Manager beta 3.0 is now Live! – Click Here

This will be the first of 5 upgrades we have planned for the Workout Manager over the next several months. In this update you will find a much improved interface and reports system as well as a food search, food diary, food calendar and even a weight loss forecaster. Our next planned updates are:

1. Rank – this update will show where you rank among the Cathletes for things like, number of completed workouts, distance traveled, time spent working out, calories burned etc. In a few weeks you will be able use our ranking page which will show your totals for the month and for all of 2011. We will also havea group table showing where you rank for each value among the Cathletes for things like: Workouts Completed, Distance traveled, Time Spent Working Out, Calories Burned, DVDs Completed, STS Workouts Completed, etc.

2. Challenges – You will be able to join a challenge for things like, lose 10 lbs, lose 20 lbs, lose 30 lbs, run 100 miles etc. This will allow you to find and communicate with other Cathletes who have similar goals as you do. The Challenge section will also help to motivate you by letting you see your challenge groups’ progress.

3. Competitions – this will be a fun section where you will be able to enter our virtual fitness competitions. We will have events as simple and short as a Cathlete push up contest to something as long as a run across America contest. Cathe will create some special events just for thise section and we will even have our own virtual triathlons.

4. iPhone/mobile phone app – This will be the year our Workout Manager will become an app for your mobile device.

We would also like to hear any input any of you have about what you would like our developers to add or improve in the Workout Manager. Any ideas about challenges or competitions would especially be appreciated. Be sure to let us know of any problems and Bugs you find in the new Workout Mmanager.

  • Hi, I just went in ti the new workout manager and tried to enter all my measurements but it came up with a fatal error. It has my BMI at 61!!
    Am I doing something wrong?

  • You need to check your settings. More than likely you have something wrong. Make sure your height is in inches and “in” is selected in the check box if you’re USA.

  • I’m in Australia so all my setting are in metric. I still can’t change my BMI.

  • Augh! What happened to the mileage counts?! I need those! That was the 2nd most useful part of the WM for me, as I am not looking to lose weight. (The most useful part was seeing what days I did what workout so I knew what to do.)

  • How about having some sort of meater the you where all day they would track the amount of body fat you curently have and how much body fat you lose as well i would like the same for caleries. Also i would like for it to track the amount of steps and miles i walk, run, or jog. Also it needs to be able to record info on how fast i am walking and if i am running, walking, or joging.

  • can you have for the nutrishion part of the workout manager where we can input the nutrishion facts so that it would be more corect espechaly when you buy difrent brands of food where the infromasion would never be around the same.

  • Can you add more measurements such as abs, midriff?
In the Workout section, it would be great to be able to include notes (used to have this I believe) as well as being ablt to insert or delete at certain points. Currently, if you add or change an exercise, it goes to the bottom. When I make mistakes, I can’t get the exercses in the proper order. I have also had problems finding some of the exercises in the drop down boxes, and would like to be able to have one that I can name myself.
I really enjoy using the Workout Manager and hope you will consider my requests.
Do you plan on re-adding the section that gave daily, monthly and annual miles, # workouts done, minutes, etc? Thank you!
    Nicki

  • Hi Nikki,

You can already do most of things you suggested. To view reports for things like workouts completed you just have to click on the “My Workouts” tab. We’ve actually greatly expanded this section and you can now view reports for almost any date range. You can even print reports now. As for exercise order you just have to click the “Enable Sort” button and you can drag an exercise to whatever order you prefer.

  • I would like to have the workpout manager have the ability to add our own food that we eat where we can incert the nutrsional info directyl from the label and we can use the same data over and over. Also i would like to have the system tell us if we are not eating enoph of one kind of food or too much depending on what our fitness goals are where it would tell us ehat needs to be adjusted so we can lose weight.

  • I’m still not seeing the “My Workouts” tab. Can someone please point me in the right direction?
