My story is not about losing weight or getting toned. I was already in a good place. But I wanted to prove to myself and others that Moms (both working and stay at home) can really push themselves to achieve a higher level of fitness and strength despite the fact that we many times put ourselves last.
I wanted to make bigger improvements, really change the way my body looked and I had hit a wall with my current program. I wasn’t seeing the type of changes I was looking for despite exercising at least an hour a day doing a variety of exercises including cardio, weight training and yoga.
About 4 months ago I discovered Cathe. I ordered a few DVDs, then a few more and then recorded many more on my DVR from FitTV (and ordered many of those!). After a few months, viola! I have finally seen big changes in my endurance, energy level, strength and muscle definition. I would NEVER push myself on my own like Cathe does in her DVDs. I would not do as many low ends, rep counts, slow rep counts or use the amount of weight that Cathe uses in many of her workouts. The variety of exercises in Cathe’s programs are really amazing and her enthusiasm and encouragement keep me going even when I think my legs are going to literally burn off! However, it was just what I was looking for and now I’m at the point where I can’t wait to achieve even higher goals!
My 13 year old daughter gave me a wonderful complement the other day which was to tell me that she wants to be fit too and that I’m her inspiration. That makes all the hard work and early mornings worth it. Thanks Cathe for helping me achieve my goals!
Wow. You look great. I can really see your ab definition. That is the area that I am working on. You are an great example for your daughter.
WOW you look GREAT!!! I think it is wonderful that you are teaching your daughter the importance of exercise. My mom did and I am so thankful and healthy from watching her. What dvd’s did you use for your abs? I know 80% is diet but just wondering about what workouts you choice?

Thanks Jennifer and Ginger for your positive comments.. my daughter loved them too 🙂 I love all of Cathe’s workouts but for core workouts I love using some sort of weight or med ball. Core Max has 2 workouts that uses a med ball and Butts and Guts uses leg weights and hand weights. Those are my favorites for Core. I have found that I can achieve faster results with a weights!
I was looking through some of these earlier success stories and saw yours. Just wanted to say that you look incredible Chris. I’m sure with those results you must have continued with the workouts and look just as good!! What a great body. Congratulations on all of the hard work.
