Like most people I spent years as a yo-yo dieter and an again off again exerciser. I’ve been a member of at least four gyms. Three of which I never set foot inside again after the first three months of membership! I gained and lost the same 10-20 pounds more times then I can count. It was very frustrating to say the least.

Finally in May of 2002, at the age of 31, and about 9 months away from my wedding day, I decided that enough was enough. I promised myself that I was going to start exercising and eating right. I was going to lose the weight and I was NEVER looking back! I bought several work out dvds and got down to business. I am proud to say that I walked on the treadmill in the fitness center every single day while my husband and I were away on our honeymoon!

In December of 2004 I was ready for a change. I had been working out for 2+ years with various instructors at an intermediate level at best. My results were waning and I was very ready to kick it up a notch. I was 4 months pregnant with my son at the time but figured “no time like the present!”. I had been reading the forums over at Collage Video and saw Cathe’s name mentioned more then once so I decided to check it out. I ended up ordering Basic Step/Body Fusion and the Cardio Hits DVD. I asked for a small step for Christmas and was on was quickly my way to being hooked!

Her work outs helped me to minimize my pregnancy weight gain. I worked out 5-6 days a week through out most of my pregnancy. I remember doing Cardio and Weights the day before giving birth to my son! My pregnancy as well as labor and delivery were smooth sailing. I had no problems or complications and delivered my first child in under 12 hours. I truly believe that my healthy and active lifestyle during my pregnancy influenced this.

Cathe’s workouts were a tremendous help in taking the weight off after giving birth too. Nine months after I had my son I was in better shape and weighed a few pounds less then I did when I got pregnant! That was 5 years ago and I have not only maintained those results but improved upon them as well.

Cathe has helped me to take weight lifting to a whole different level then anything I had previously done. I have worked on my eating habits as well and so at 38 years old I am in better shape then I was when I was in my 20’s! I have muscle definition every where including in my abs! I thought ab definition was only a pipe dream for me but I was proven wrong! Thank you Cathe for helping me to get in the best shape of my life!

  • Great job!! What a great story!! It feels amazing once we “really get into it”, doesn’t it?? Cathe was totally my inspiration as well after many years of so-called “working out”!! Very proud of you!

  • My theory is, if you can exercise during almost all of your pregnancy…. you can do anything!!! Great story!
