Beta 2.4 of the Workout Manager is Now Released

Beta 2.4

This Memorial Day we’re releasing beta 2.4 of the Workout Manager. This release specifically targets the “Workouts” icon you see located between the “Nutrition” and “STS” icons at the top of the Workout Manager.

Now when you click on the “Workouts” icon you will see three choices.

  • 1. Cross Train
  • 2. Weight
  • 3. Cardio

The purpose of the Workouts Icon is so you can create your own workout for your home or the gym and print a workout card too. Until, now you could only do this for a weight based workout in the Workout Manager. With our newest version of the Workout Manager you can now also create “Cardio” workouts and routines that combine cardio and weights (Cross Train). We’ve added several new columns like duration, distance, level, RPM, speed laps, pace and rest which makes the WM perfect for runners, swimmers and cyclist to create and track their workouts.

After selecting from the three main categories you will go to the create a workout page. Simply enter the name you want to call your workout (this is required) and then fill in any other optional information you like.  Then begin to construct your workout card by selecting exercises from the dropdown list you see. After selecting each exercise make sure to click on the “Add Exercise” button. Once you’re finished adding all of the exercises you want to your workout card just click on the “Save & Print” button at the bottom of the page.

If you want to record your results for a saved workout you must first schedule the workout in your calendar. If you have already done this you simply need to click on the workout date and then in the sidebar on the right click “Show Details”.  Then click on the “Edit Workout” button. Your workout will now appear for you to enter your results for that day. Lastly just click the “Save” button to save your results.

We still have a lot more work to do on this section, but we want to get your input and feedback before developing this feature further. We already plan on adding a notes field for each exercise, but would welcome your ideas in helping us improve this part of the Workout Manager. Once we have finished our tweaks and improvements we plan on making it possible for you to upload workouts you have created or download workouts created from other members.

We still have to add the “Core” icon many of you have requested to the WM calendar. We will try to have that up either this week or next week at the latest
