Eating a healthy breakfast is essential to maintaining any weight-loss program. When you skip breakfast, your body goes into a mild fasting state. Instead of burning calories, your body tries to conserve everything it can. This causes even more fat to be stored, sabotaging your chances of losing weight. To boost your metabolism, and give yourself extra energy that you need throughout the day, eat two eggs each morning for breakfast. Eggs are a great source of nutrition and are proven to help lose weight.

Researchers at the Louisiana State University performed a two-month study on overweight women. During those two months, the women were given a daily breakfast containing the same number of calories. Some of the participants ate two eggs for breakfast, while the others ate a bagel. Researchers discovered that the women who ate eggs lost not only 65% more weight than those who had the bagels, but they also lost 61% more body mass and felt more energetic than the other participants. The research showed that the women eating the bagels ate more calories over the remainder of the day than those who ate the eggs, causing them to lose less weight.

Use eggs wisely to maintain your weight-loss program. Morning is the best time of day to eat eggs to take advantage of the extra energy that you are going to receive. If you skip them at breakfast, make sure you have eggs for lunch or dinner. You are still going to receive the same health benefits. Prepare your eggs without adding additional fats when possible. Boil or poach your eggs and serve with a slice of healthy whole-wheat toast and a low-fat yogurt. If you prepare an omelet, add healthy vegetables and cut back on the cheese. The great thing about eggs is that you have several choices on how to prepare them.

If you really want to benefit from the healthiest eggs, use Eggland’s Best eggs. Overall, these eggs contain more nutrients and less cholesterol and saturated fats than regular eggs. Because Eggland’s Best feeds its hens an all-natural, all-vegetarian diet, Eggland’s Best eggs are loaded with lots more vitamins and omega-3 than regular eggs. The high-quality protein found in these eggs is what increases your energy level and makes you feel full for a longer period of time. This feeling prevents you from overeating, causing you to cut your caloric intake.

You may have concerns over the cholesterol found in eggs. Eggs do contain cholesterol. However, research has shown that eggs consist of a dietary cholesterol that has little effect on blood cholesterol. Researchers also found that only one-third of the body’s cholesterol comes from dietary sources. If you are still concerned, Eggland’s Best eggs have a lower amount of cholesterol than regular eggs with just 175 mg.

Eggs are an important part of your workout routine. For the first hour after you workout, your muscles are tired and need extra nutrients. Exercise depletes amino acids that your body needs for muscle strength. The high-quality protein found in eggs replenishes your body with these essential amino acids. The amino acids help to repair muscle damage and add extra muscle strength to your body. It is very beneficial to workout first thing in the morning, and then have a healthy breakfast, consisting of eggs.

If you are one of the many Americans struggling to lose weight, try substituting your regular breakfast food with two Eggland’s Best eggs. If you tend to skip breakfast, make time for it. Even if you are not struggling with weight loss, eggs offer a great source of nutrients that your body needs. Try Eggland’s Best eggs, you can taste the quality. Your body

  • I appreciate the article, Cathe, and the pics of your newly recruited ‘Cathletes’ 🙂 Ailments related to high LDL levels run in my family so I try to monitor the status of my HDLs and LDLs. I was so relieved to learn awhile back that eggs were safe for those concerned high harmful cholesterol levels. It’s left me eggs-tatic!
