STS Strength and Cardio Rotation

STS Strength & Cardio – 3 month Rotation

Happy New Year Everyone! The following three month rotation is designed to get you into the best shape of your life. This rotation is safe, effective and based on scientific studies to bring you maximal results. If you prefer, you may opt to do a double cardio session on any given day, however, this is not necessary. This is something I suggest for days when you are feeling extra energetic or perhaps had a “cheat day” the day before, wink. I have also purposely included two shorter workouts (Heavy Bag Bonus Workout and Circuit Blast Cardio Only Premix) as “add on” workouts to increase the intensity certain days. Finally, I’d like to remind you that a sensible, nutritious, low fat and moderate carbohydrate diet is strongly advised to enhance and guarantee results. Happy New YOU!!!!

STS MESOCYCLE ONE

Week One:

Tues: Shock Cardio….Hiit 40/20
Wed: STS Disc #2 (Back and Triceps)
Thurs: Shock Cardio….MMA Boxing (No Heavy Bag Bonus)
Fri: STS Disc #3 (Legs)
Sat: Shock Cardio…Step Moves plus Ab Circuits Yoga based Abs

  • Started STS Strength last week and am eager to incorporate the new STS cardio as well. As usual, Cathe and her staff rock!

  • I started this rotation on Monday and this is the first I’ve done any of the STS series. I had been procrastinating on the 1 RM calcuations but finally got those done. I know I’m only 4 days in but so far I feel like my workout intensity level has gone way down since I started this. With the exception of the Hiit 40/20 (which was VERY intense) I just don’t feel like I’m getting much cardio. I had been doing 1 day of a cardio only DVD alternating with a circuit DVD so this is a big change for me. I’m worried though that the total number of calories I’m burning has really dropped. Am I just jumping the gun here? I’m thinking about substituing more intense cardio workouts for some of the workouts in this rotation. I thought that the MMA Boxing was very low intensity this morning and I did Step moves once and found the intensity pretty low on that one as well.

  • If you are are almost complete with all 3 Mesocycles and your STS Cardio just arrived should you finish the series and then start over with Disc 1 and begin to incoroparate the STS Cardio? Thus doing STS Strength all over again?
