Announcing Cathe Downloads

Welcome to Phase #1 of our newest website (www.cathedownloads.com) with over 150 Cathe workouts for your IPod, IPhone, MP4 player, computer and Tv and the beginning of a new era!

Our new download site features every workout Cathe has done on DVD in a digital file MP4 file format that you can easily download, transfer to an IPod or like device, and then play on your Tv. And just like our DVDs each download comes with the same Chapter Menu chapter points as all of our DVDs do. This means you can quickly and easily select where you want to go in nearly all of our digital downloads.

Another great feature of our downloads, unlike many of our DVDs, is that you can purchase individual workouts and you don’t have to purchase the workouts you don’t want. You can even purchase individual ab workouts, like Ab Circuits-No Equipment for only a few dollars or any STS individual disc for the low price of $9.97 each. Not only do we have some really great low prices for our downloads that you will love, but we also have some incredible Grand Opening specials that we will tell you about a little later in this post.

Downloading Cathe Digital videos is a simple and easy to understand process. All you have to do is first purchase your video clips from our site. We will then send you a link with instructions on how to download your files. After downloading you simply transfer your video file to your IPod, IPhone or like device. Then connect your device to your Tv and enjoy your workout.

If you’re new to downloading files from the internet onto your computer or playing downloaded videos on your computer or device, then take the time to browse our helpful PDF tutorials. Click ‘View Tutorials‘ to begin. It may seem like a lot of instructions, but that is only because we have tried to cover most of the major models of IPods and like devices in our tutorials.

Unlike our DVDs you may not transfer or resell our downloads to another person. You must agree to abide by our terms of use when purchasing our downloads. Our system will allow 3 attempts to download a file. If you are unsuccessful in 3 attempts you will need to notify customer service to reset your account and for further assistance. Only attempt to download one file at a time. Files are nearly 1 gig each, so make sure you have plenty of hard disc space on your computer. Our entire Cathe collection of 153 downloads currently totals 108 gigs.
To help launch our new site, and to show our appreciation to our Cathletes who have already purchased our DVDs, we’re offering two amazing Grand Opening specials for a limited time only:

  • A-MEN, Amanda, Amen!! I’m totally freaking out-racking my brain to recall where I’ve purchased the entire collection of her vids. I hope I’ve ordered at least one directly from her site! This fall perfectly into place with my recently having to purchase a new computer and LCD TV. Once I jack the two together with custom Cathe workout files, my basement’s gonna ROCK! :))

  • What if you want to purchase a set like 4-day split together? On the downloads site, at 15.97 a piece, it is not a lot cheaper than just buying the dvds. (63.88 vs 79.99), and STS may actually be more expensive to download disc by disc than just buying the dvd bundle. Will there be an option to download the sets at a discount like you can the dvd sets..separate from this quantity discount that is, or will everything just be ala carte?

  • Everything is ala carte, but the quantity discounts are pretty substantial. For example; if you order all 41 STS workouts you will receive a 50% discount. That means each workout will only cost you $4.98. You can also take advantage of our special for buying our entire library of 153 workouts for only $599 which works out to be $3.91 per workout. If you buy just the 4 day split you will receive a 5% discount, but if you purchase more downloads your quantity discount will increase up to 50%.

  • I’m not dreaming right???? They are here!! Cathe big ((HUGS)) to you and your amazing team!! I was just talking about this to my hubby last week. HOORAY!!! Cartwheels here!!

  • Sounds like a good idea, however it would be nice to know what sort of quality is being offered for these digital down loads. Having a sample to look at and to make sure its compatible with our equipment would alleviate these concerns – I suggest providing at least one free sample.

  • So, what’s the resolution of the mp4 files? I’m sure they’ll look great on portable devices but I’m curious what it will look when you hook it up to a TV. 480i?

  • Ok, and one more question then..are the quantity discounts here to stay? The blog makes them look like they are all temporary…and if temporary, for about how long are they available?

  • I agree with Gary that a sample to see how the quality of the downloads would be.

Also are all the DVD’s avail for download as I couldn’t find Muscle Max listed under strength/toning

  • Just downloaded 3. I chose to burn them to a dvd. The quality is EXCELLENT! Whether on the computer or my 60″ HD TV, the download quality is great. What are you waiting for!

  • My video never downloaded it kept timing out, so I never got a chance to view my video I bought. I don’t know what to do.

  • We’ve spent a lot of time testing and researching the best way to encode files to give the highest quality output possible. Our files are very close to DVD quality. We chose to support the highest native resolution that the most prolific iPods support without interpolation, which is 576×432.

  • That’s awesome. Of course, I just bought STS so now I can’t buy the whole collection, but still very cool. Are premixes encoded as well? Could we possibly see a workout manager/blender software with the files? You know for ultimate logging and premixing?

  • I thought that the 4-day split purchase for $15 was for ALL of them, not just the one. I found the one I did to be rather unchallenging, and if I had purchased it from Collage would have returned it immediately. Is it possible to trash it and get a credit? Also, there’s no way to chapter it, no premix, or anything. It is a fabulous idea, but the execution is truly disappointing and I frankly would like a refund. I feel this still needs a lot of work before bringing it to the market. I was so excited – but now I just feel angry.

  • This is AWESOME! I’m an American expat living in Sweden and now I will be able to purchase Cathe’s work outs whenever I want! Before, I would only get them once or maybe twice a year (for Christmas or my birthday) when I would request them as a gift from my mother who lives in the States. She would purchase and send them to me as a gift and then I would get out of the astronomical customs fees they charge over here. I think this is a great start to this new feature and look forward to the improvements that you make to this down the road. Rock on, Cathe!

btw, for anyone who does NOT want to install iTunes on their computer or does not own an iPod (such as myself), VLC video player plays MP4 files. http://www.videolan.org/vlc/

  • Someone asked this earlier, but CatheDotCom hasn’t replied. How long are the quantity discounts available? Thanks!

  • I can’t believe this! I’m so happy. I don’t own any of the equipment needed to do the workouts, so have to adlib at home with a stool and some dumbbells. Now I can put the workouts on my iPod and go to the gym!

    YEAH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Uh, I purchased (3) workouts and am in the process of downloading #2. I haven’t been able to transfer the first one to my iPod Classic. Any ideas? I don’t want to view the workout, I just want to listen to it at the gym, as I don’t have all that equipment in my home. ANY HELP?

  • I am also wishing these came with two files: one that is MP4 for those who want video, and one that is MP3 for those who want smaller audio files for an ipod classic or other MP3 that has less storage space. Please believe me that this format is in demand!! Many of us want to just listen to the workouts on an ipod as we use the gym’s equipment to complete them. I will be buying these once a smaller MP3 format is added for those of us who want audio only.

  • In this technological age, companies have to look forward and not backward. Current trends are moving toward video based products vs. audio only. I have a classic iPOD and an iPhone, and I must admit I use my phone for music and everything else a whole lot more than my iPOD. I just need to upgrade to the iPhone with more memory and I’ll probably never use my iPOD again. Then it won’t be long before something entirely new comes along! I don’t think it would have been a good business decision to invest in audio only files. I’ve always been happy with the qualtiy of Cathe’s products, so they may be working on something specifically for use in the gym. ??

  • I went ahead and purchased Agile Video Converter and the registration didn’t work. Now I’m stuck with 3 programs I can’t load on my old-timey iPod. I’ve gotten no help from Pegasus Software. Beware! As Susanne said, I’m now waiting for a smaller file or considering purchasing an iPod Touch. UGH!

  • And Liz, I disagree with you. If something isn’t broken, I’m not going to toss it out, i.e. my iPod Mini. When I use the audio files at the gym I won’t need to see what Cathe’s doing because her verbal instructions are so good.

  • I’m new to this system, and I’m just now getting ready to order my first workouts (plus step system)…can someone explain to me what is a “premix”? Thx.
