Quinoa , Beef, and Bean Power Protein Mix

Ingredients

1 pound extra lean ground beef
1 can black beans, drained
1 can no salt added diced tomatoes
1 cup quinoa prepared according to package directions
Fat free cheddar cheese
Lawry’s Seasoned salt and seasoned pepper to taste

Directions:

1. Cook quinoa according to package directions.

2. Brown beef and season with Lawry’s seasoned salt and seasoned pepper.

3. Drain beef, add beans and tomatoes and cook for about 5-7 minutes.

4. Mix quinoa in with beef mixture, sprinkle with a little fat free cheddar cheese and serve!

  • When went to http://www.sparkrecipes.com/ to figure out the calories it said that the whole thing has 2006.8 calories. If there are 4 servings that would be 501.7 calories and 6 servings would be 334.5 calories. This is based on 2 oz of cheddar cheese, .50 cup dry Quinoa, and the rest of the ingredients. These numbers might not be accurate, but probably a good guide line. Suggestion-include calories in the recipes.
